So quick question. i have been dabbling with fishing in dayz and i have come across a problem. when i cook the fish the icon changes to a cooked looking fish but the name of the item is still raw fish or what ever its called. is the food cooked or is it still raw? because it looks cooked just not called cooked. if that makes sense. should i stay away from eating fish for now?

So i been playing about a hour today and some really messed up stuff is going on with my character. First i spawn into a tree and i cant move. it just says cancel action. so i do and it kills me then when i hit respawn it boots me from the server and i log back into it since its my home server. then when i spawn back in my character is back. so i figured it was just a dayz glitch what ever. then im running to my base and i notice my game is freezing every 30 seconds or so. then finally i get to my base and 3 of my tents are missing but i know no one found them because my svd and winni and my ghilli suit are all still in my tents. so im sitting there waiting in a bush and i see one of my tents just vanish. then i log out thinking maybe its my graphics card and another tent is missing.....wtf is going on. literally right after i posted this i log in have a 10 second respawn timer and that thing were i cant move happend again and i died hoping i get my gear back again...

so my entire clan just got character reset. was wondering if this is happening to anyone else. it didnt happen until we logged out and switched servers. hackers/ddos?

eh oh well its just items not like you wont find all the stuff again. im not too mad about the items. more mad about staying in for the night and not being able to play lol. like i said maybe they will roll back our accounts its not like its just a few people getting hit by it

honestly i highly doubt they are going to roll back anything. i hope they do though. im afraid we lost our bases too.

nope it keeps happening i cant even log into servers now just says wait for host

ok Title says it all. its actually not me its my friend. i cant figure how to get him out or kill him. he says he was walking down the hillside by riffy and fell into a rock cant get out has broken legs and has nothing to kill himself with. does anyone know of any ways to like reset your character. he said he left his game on for a long time and he wont starve it dosnt even seem to be affecting him that hes not eating or drinking. im guessing possibly because hes not moving too much. but anyways we need help lol!

so generally i dont get attached to gear but this is pissing me off. i know its alpha. but twice! i have found a svd and both times they both glitched out and disappeared. i was practicing my sniping on zombies then i stand up and put the gun on my back and it just vanishes. has this happened to anyone else? this happened twice to me -.- only posting this to find out if there is something i can do to not have this happen.

first time i had a ump in my bag but the second time i only had the svd and a magnum but the magnum wasnt on my back when the svd vanished lol.

Deff, depending on what you use to record i have seen some fps drop by 50% And i keep telling people you can have the best computer on earth its not going to run as it should until this game is optimized will it help of course it will but is it worth sinking a couple hundred bucks into your computer just for one game.

word of advice. when someone is shooting at you dont stand still. thats one of your main problems. and if you dont have a weapon and they do dont just stand there run the hell away. and just incase you dont know dont ever believe the " im friendly dont shoot"

1. I found a tent and i never had one before. i know the tents get wiped on wendsdays unless you have them on you. my question is what time on tuesday do i need to have my tent packed up so it dosnt get wiped? i live in the US on the east coast if that helps with time. 2. i was looking up buttstocks on dayz wiki and on the folding buttstock one it said its the worst buttstock in game. i dont understand why because none of the other wikis for the buttstocks said anything about how good they are. Do different stocks give you a different accuracy rating or are they just cosmetic as long as you have one.

Not every zombie would be old and rotten. and depending on where the loot is it might be pristine still. Like what if zombies had backpacks on the items wouldnt be ruined unless you shoot the backpack. i think when a player dies it should make a similar copy to what he was wearing and make him a zombie somewhere in that server. obviously not with all the items he was holding but some. Since that would be the realistic way to do it.

i dont understand. We picked up the tent and dropped everything we didnt want to keep and this morning i woke up and checked our spot and the place is still littered with the loot that we left there. is it safe to drop our tent again or does this mean this server hasnt been wiped yet

well i been currently using i think its called the aks buttstock the one that looks like a triangle but the center is hollow. it seems to work well for now. I'll just stick to it for now.

ok so really in game there isnt a difference then. cool. Oh do the folding stocks actually fold i tried but couldnt figure out how to do it

So i used to record dayz with a program called Action! i bought it off steam around christmas. but for like the last 3 or 4 patches i cant use it anymore . the program runs but it only records my desktop and obviously thats no good. It is frustrating that i cant use it anymore because last night i was at the vybor military base and wiped out a clan on my own and now i dont have it on film which would have been nice. does anyone else use this program or know how to fix this. i heard its wont work because battle eye considers it a hack or something like that.

i know this sounds odd but another thing you could do is uninstall and reinstall the game will set up your settings for you to maximize performance. i had to do this once i had the same problem as you. and that helped a lot.

Do you have a high ping or desync while playing? Do you have any background programs open while playing like recording programs or any browsers?

turn your settings down especially shadows. the game isnt optimized at the moment so even if you do have a good computer the game wont run as well as it should.
