So about 20 mins ago i was driving around in a truck i found. Truck was running fine nothing unusual about it. decided to go down to the coast wanted to get some netting for a ghillie suit. So i finally find the netting and decide to put the truck in my hiding spot and when i park it i hit a rock and it got stuck. Now i open the door but im afraid to get out because the truck is spinning in a circle so i wait until it stops and it finally does. i waited a few seconds to make sure it wasnt going to keep spinning and i finally get out.. now this is the weird part. when i got out the screen when white then it refreshed and i saw my guy standing there but there was no map it was just a big blue room i couldnt move but i could punch go in my bags split rags empty ammo. then i logg out hoping i wasnt going to be killed and i logged back in and i was on the other side of the map with the same character. has this happend to anyone?

anyone know if using a silencer degrades its quality? i had one i thought was just damaged then i looked at it a little later and realized it was badly damaged.

"update" i wake up groggy from the crash. The woods im in look familiar but...there is something different. I cant seem to put my finger on it. so i go to explore. i find a small town my first instinct is to watch it and scan around before moving in. But before long thirst gets the best of me. The dryness of my mouth was ridiculous almost like i haven't had a drink in dayz and i been walking around the dessert. i spot a well. Thank the lord i have spotted a well. i can already taste the sweet water before i even had any. so i move out. crawling through the tall grass slowly trying not to been seen for the sake of a group of bandits rolling up and killing me or even worse....what if they take my can opener o.o THOSE BASTARDS I WONT LET THEM TAKE IT! so i proceed with caution with the thoughts of my wife and kids back at camp. They need me.They are counting on me. I just hope they are alright. My mind is racing as i continue to crawl i almost didnt notice someone standing by the well..i stop. i pull out my binoculars to see if there are more of them. i only see one person...but...wha.....what!?!? My body trembling with fear as the weight of this horror falls upon me. Are my eyes deceiving me? the man just climbed the side of the building in less then 3 seconds.Then he proceeded to hop from rooftop to rooftop.i start feeling the top of my head for lumps, thinking maybe i hit my head during the truck crash. Didnt feel anything serious just a few scratches and cuts. I Look through my binoculars again.OH SHIT! Where did he go? i start to panic. he could be anywhere! sweat starts to pour down my face, heart thumping faster and faster. My hands shaking making it hard to see out of the binoculars. Screw it i grab my water balls out my bag and make a straight run for the well. running faster than i ever have before. i finally reach the well and with no time to waste i fill both my water bottles quickly, chug one down and refilled it and started running again. i decided running into the wood was the best bet, more cover to hide behind. as i run through the woods i hear noises so i stop. i continue to hear them but i see no sign of movement. so i wait for 10 mins. a cool breeze that i desperately needed comes with the scent of salt. could it be the coast? i follow the directing the wind came from. Sure enough it was the coast.But how? my camp was hundreds of miles from the ocean what in the hell is going on. Seems clear enough to go. i jog down to the beach to search for a boat and maybe some supplies. feels like i been walking for hours now. still nothing . i start to hear noises again. i sit still once more search the area. scanning the wood line up and down the coast but still nothing. I continue to walk down the coast for a few more miles. i can see a road sign. i walk up to it with hope that it can lead me to a town. When i get to the sign i was amazed to find that it was in a different language. Not only was it in a different language but it was in one that looked like nothing i have even seen before. just my luck. to the left of me i see train tracks they must lead to somewhere might be a good idea to follow them. So i do. i carry on. stomach growling its been a while since i had a decent meal. i finally reach a large city. From where i am i can see a fire station and just beyond that a skyscraper with a huge chunk out of the top of it. Broken down cars litter the roads. place seems like a ghost town. Looks like a war zone i wonder if there is any survivors here. By now its starting to get dark. i can see the sun setting on the horizon. would be a good idea to find some shelter. i can search the city tomorrow when i have light. i keep walking down the train tracks and come across some abandoned train cars. i search them all but didnt find much a can of tactical bacon, some rags, matches, a pot, and a hatchet. Its dark now. and the temperature is dropping quickly. i build a fire outside the car. ill put the hot coals in the pot i found to keep the train car warm for the night. as i sit by the fire eating my food i swear i can see things moving in the distance i figure its the dark playing tricks with me. so i leave the fire and start to climb into my shelter and CRACK...i black out. i awaken the next day tied to a tree near the ocean. Wha..get me out! HELPP! HELLLP ME! Someone please...a few hours go by. i continue to struggle trying to break free but its no use. i used most of my energy trying to escape. didnt even realize it but i fall asleep. When i finally awake there are people surrounding me but....they...aren't people. there must be hundreds of them! what are they?! frightened i panic trying to wiggle my way out of the ropes, frantically moving every part of my body that i could . they are all just staring at me...not moving or saying anything. they stand up like humans. They are wearing some type of armor on them. finally it dawns upon me...they are apes! i look to my left and see look into the ocean. I see the statue of liberty..but its not....its also a ape.....and on the shore line...the real statue of liberty resides buried up to its neck in the sand...with fury in my heart i yell out "YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!

So yesterday and today i found a few trucks that only went to 30mph and wouldnt go past that speed. Are there manual trucks now? and if so how do you shift?

yea in the future it might be. But as of now zombies are not attracted to the truck sounds. kinda odd since they can see me from a mile away and hear me when im pretty far but they cant see or hear me when im next to them in the giant obnoxiously loud truck. actually i hope they put earplugs in game like they have in arma.

i actually tried this but it unfortunately didnt work. Also another weird bug i found was i had a truck on a persistent server and i logged off for the night. the next day it was still there i drove around with it for a bit and i started looting a town. Then the server reset and when i came back on the truck was there with no tires on it. i got in tried to drive it but it wouldn't move. then i came back later and the server had reset again while i was on my way back to that town. the truck was still there and i thought that was odd because i thought broken trucks were supposed to respawn even on persistent servers.

not that i know of, but a horn would be a cool feature to have. and AC and heat would be good too. maybe a radio. or a tow behind trailer.

it happend with both types of trucks. both of them were at a truck spawn with full gas and it didnt matter what i drove on it still went 3o. the fastest i got it to was 40 when i was going down a hill.

Yea and it wont go faster then 30mph though im not desyncing ping is around 35.

So i was playing with my cousin and we went to pvp in cherno. For 2 hours we hopped servers looking for people i know it sounds crazy but this is not a exaggeration what so ever we could not find a single person in cherno for 2 hours on high pop servers. Now we were about to call it a night since it was dead and i happend to see a broken chem light then i heard shots so i figured it was a trap so we flanked the buildings and we were right next to one of those statue things and i see the guy running towards it as i round the corner then vanishes like he walked through the wall. im not one to claim everyone is a hacker but he ran right into that wall and disappeared without a trace we both ran around the area looking for him but no luck. Now we are walking to the road right next to it and out of no where we hear shots i got hit once and we both split up he shoots my cousin he goes unconscious then i see him standing right next to that statue same side he ran into and he shot me twice broke my legg and he started to reload i aimed at him and shot him about 10 times then a mosin shot killed me idk if i wound up killing him or not but i wasnt sure of what happened is there a glitch to get into those statues or something? like i said im not saying he was a hacker but that was kinda odd to happen. and on a side note. did pvp move to a new place because for the last few days it seems to be harder and harder to find people lol. even on high pop

im guessing this is the mod. i never played it before but in standalone there is a "field of view" setting you can move it up and down. You can look to see if there is one and mess with it. hope this helps but like i said i never played the mod.

dont apologize. You clearly stated in the title what this post was going to be about. i dont understand why people would read it anyways then complain that they read it and you "wasted their time"

1- not all items are able to be grouped 2- it only takes 2 seconds to group a item 3- when grouping things is fixed you will understand why they dont auto group. say you have 2 damaged rags and 3 pristine ones if you mix them the pristine ones will become damaged.

A lot of people use military tactics to play this game and usually those are the people who go in and wipe out towns. Knowing about the guns and bullet velocity gives you a big advantage in game instead of going in and spraying or shoot and hope it hits they will be more accurate. and with the military talk a lot of people like to role play in this game. if you don't like how they play don't play with them that's all. no need to come on the forums to troll them. and as a lot of people mentioned already we do have a lot of ex/active military players and if they are truly military you should show them a little more respect instead of laughing at them.

only stunt i ever done in a v3s is walked near one it jumped like 20 feet in the air and landed on me lol.

ok i thought i might have been going crazy for a bit we both saw him run into the statue and we couldnt find him. now that i know you can get in those ill try to stray away from them.

First make sure your filter settings havent changed. If those are the same wait it out and try restarting the game. It happens once in a while. you could try just spam refreshing it until they show up.

gear dosnt mean shit in this game. I have killed geared people with axes or walked up behind them and knocked them out before. it just takes time and to be able to keep calm in a situation like that. and not to mention a mosin is a really powerful gun. its generally is a one shot kill or at least knocks people out.

So im kind of suprised i have to ask this question. But this is alpha we are here to "test" the mechanics of this game. But yet they keep making some items hard to find. Items like the m4, aug , pm73, bascially anything helicopter spawn. Even trucks and tents are hard to find. like how hard would it be to find a truck or a tent in real life lol. But yet we are supposed to test if these items are working properally but yet can almost never find one. does anyone else feel this way or is it just me? Im not complaining about it i was just curious because it kinda dosnt make sense to me thats all.

Hey everyone was hoping you all could help me out. I usually tend to only use the sks and once in a while akm or ak101. But recently i been trying to learn how to snipe and change things up but i cant seem to find a mosin anymore. i found one a week ago wound up dieing to a bug and have not been able to find another since. Anyone have any good locations to check? certain buildings? cities? any help would be much appriciated. Thanks much

Well if i cant find one i might take you up on that. But first i would like to at least attempt to find my own. Im not big on help besides asking questions.
