I think ammo boxes you can bury with items inside would be nice.

The option to burn the bodies of infected you have shot with the possibility of them coming back to life if you don't. This gives a nice light source anywhere there are infected and the added fear that the "dead" infected sat in the road ahead may come to life at any moment.

Chem lights are probably your safest option at night, better than pitch black and from afar all people can see is a small dot.

Was just playing around in the editor and realised the Guerilla rifleman outfit would be much more fitting for the bandit skin in my opinion: Much more realistic than shoving everyone in a german special forces uniform! What do you guys think? (no arguing about banditry please)

I know, what's happening now is this: Bob and Jim are on Server A. Bob shoots Jim. Jim panics and disconnects. Jim changes to server B, bandages, runs into a nearby bush and disconnects. Jim goes back to server A, appears behind Bob and shoots him in the back of the head. What I was proposing is make each server have a unique character, so if Jim was to DC and jump on to server B (which he has not played on yet) he would spawn on the coast with a new unique character and could continue playing. But when he goes back to his character on server A, he would reconnect in the same place he DC'd, still injured. This doesn't stop people disconnecting mid-fight, but it makes it alot harder for them to turn a fight around when they reconnect. And if the player that shot them wants to, he can hang around where they DC'd and finish them off when they come back instead of getting shot in the back of the head by the same guy.

This. A weapon modding feature like STALKER would make me cream my pants a bit.

I think cooking should take longer, takes about 20-30 seconds to set up a camp fire and cook 20 meats at once, would be a bit more realistic to have it take a while to cook a piece of meat, this would make people a bit more weary of where they set up their camp fire because it would be up longer potentially giving away their position. Another idea was after hitting the put out fire command, it would still smoke for a few minutes until you were able to destroy the camp fire completely. I don't know if any of this is possible, just throwing it out there.

YES, I was thinking this too. This game NEEDS a safe zone, a point where survivors can meet up, trade, share stories, show off their loot, blablablabla Could also make it so you can't get in their as a bandit, maybe post some NPC guards near the entrance that will kill bandits on sight, this might make codfag banditry a bit less appealing. Two problems I can think of that would have to be overcome though, 1: Bandits camping near the entrance, my NPC guards idea would half sort this, but out of range of the guards it could still be a problem. (snipers) 2: People putting their sticky fingers in your backpack, wouldn't be cool going into the safe zone only to have people take all your precious beans out of your bag. :/

Is it just me or does 5 slots seem a bit much for a flashlight? Seems a bit unbelievable that a flashlight would take up half a backpack. Maybe 2-3 slots?
