There are clans already discussing doing this, setting up a fortified trade center in a town.. Sure they could shoot you, but then no one would ever trade with them, or go to that place again. People are discussing it and I think its a cool concept. I have also traded with people before... not everyone is a kosa bandit. If the idea is beyond your personal scope of game play then I understand, and respect that. But I'm actually more interested in hearing from the people who like the concept. The people I'm talking about are tight units of ARMA3 vets who work in an organised military hierarchy on ts. They'll be 9 or 10 people sitting on stockpiles,..You want to trade bullets. Good luck with that. Even if a posse of people get it together to take over the trading post.. That's a fun thing right? I'd like to think it's do-able.

With the possibility of people/clans/gangs Taking over and holding persistent towns and setting up Trade shops. What do people think would make the best currency? Ammunition is the first thing that comes to mind. I'm guessing we'll need a rational benchmark for costing things. Bullets = Bucks.? I think constant trade haggles will just end in bloodshed.. If everyone knows the approx. set price for say a fresh apple, there is wiggle room to barter but without the contention (theoretically). I'm guessing most valuable will be: Vehicles (when introduced)WeaponsAmmo (clips, ammo boxes, etc)Attachments (Scopes, suppressors etc..)Misc items (binoculars, compass etc..)Medical supplies.ClothingFood (variations on Fresh and canned)Well access (water)I hope this happens, I think it'd be cool to walk into a trading Post town, knowing you have several scopes trained on you, as you walk into town arms up... head to the Trader to get some needed medical supplies or buy that scope you can't find. Just putting it out there..

Right Click on the bandanna for drop down options. Select: "Untie Bandana" Then right click on it again, should give you the option to wear as a mask.

Is anyone else finding current stable build.. well, unplayable?
krow replied to Forrelist's topic in General Discussion
Yep - I had issues with Frozen attack button and ghost zombie attacks. Also drinking/eating items from the table (full inventory) - Just get the "Cancel action" text but nothing happens. Also swapping items from floor to inventory, (e.g. rifle) the item i pick up swaps into my inventory but the one I had just disappears, (i.e. not on the ground) All in all little bugs, bit frustrating at times but still not stopping me from having fun. Didnt take long to re-adjust to the dance with Zed. The ol' One tap side step. -
Ha... The scariest thing for me is the whole calm moment, have a drink, and then a Zed is suddenly right on top of you from out of no where... "Groan...". *Swipe.. Thud! Makes me jump outa my skin everytime... Panic station.. mouse goes flying, wheels on chair shoot backwards. Mash at the W key and drag my characters face across a wall trying to get away...get some room... need Weapon !! Axe swap..hit the key a couple of times so that I pull out the axe..... and put it back again... Gah** Hit 1 again, pull out axe...Side step Chop... I'm not convinced that warm wet feeling on my clothing is always Blood. Always rattles me.

It's listed on the Bug sheet as number one "known issues" So one can only hope that they are listed in order of prioritisation.

I play as much stealth as possible, Depending on where you want to spend your time hiding, there is camo for most areas, e.g. wooded. Winter camo works best in towns and lighter camo for grassy area's. I have had several close encounters, with players where laying prone in grass without moving has got me through. Some running past quite close. Movement is what gets you noticed more than the camo, but I believe camo definitely helps.

I dont understand why there is no AUTO RUN KEY!!!

For long runs, I place a USB stick cap (Lid), on the W key, and place my mobile phone on it. -
Not so much good intentions, just preferable game play. I'd really like to see this game become much more than just another Dog Eat Dog Deathmatch game. Not about me and intentions so much, just like to come across someone fishing and offer a cooker and sit and chat at a fire. Maybe we aregue? Maybe someone else comes along? ... Not so much role play, just not being an ass. Currently there is no incentive to do anything except shoot everything that moves and loot. I've resolved to bypass several encounters with other players where I had the upper hand, (still in my sights) and chosen to disappear silently onto the next town. Essentially I have instead decided to avoid other players. I still have not killed another player. Instead I'm choosing to scan area's thoroughly and avoid player contact completely. I go into quiet or empty servers when I can and avoid any form of multiplayer interaction. Which sucks basically because I really enjoy Co-operative play. But I refuse to just be another KOS bandit... Like i said before, bandits have their place, but if everyone becomes one, then it's just tedious. I will however defend myself. (I'll let you know how i get on with that ;) )

So, I'm new to DAYZ, and I can't play yet.

Hrrmm, never tried that.. I usually dispatch with an axe tap to the head. Knee leaves them crawling? -

Hahaha... *Ahem... Everyone's covered most of the important things. My tip: Learn how to side step Zeds then whack em on the head. -
Yeah like I mentioned.. only seems to happen to me when I'm eating and get jumped by a Zed. So it happens when I need it most. My guess it's from the panic of clicking fire multiple times while swapping to weapon. (I should try to emulate the cause) Only seems to happen to me when Im freaked out.. ha! I normally do what Spartacus Rex does, run and re-log.

The "Hours Survived" stat is cool. No Kill count please... It quickly creates a k.o.s. culture, and pseudo objective.

Police stations are where I find mine. Also check under beds. It's amazing how many guns I've found under beds. Keep looking, you'll find something.

I am also having this issue. It seems to happen when I have a quick weapon swap and fire/melee. (e.g. suddenly attack while eating) - The weapon loads into my hand but will not hit/fire. - Even swapping weapons does not work, the attack key stops working all together. I have tried different things to try to fix it (e.g. resetting hot keys, dropping and picking up weapon..etc..) but without success. So far the only thing I have found that fixes it is to log out of game and log back in. Intel i7 DirectX 11 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Windows 7
