Thanks! I play a lot of first too, my vids lately have probably been 50/50 split. I tend to just play which one I feel like playing. Hcore still feels really intense to me and I probably would have ran there if it was hcore. However I play third when I feel like having fun, I play the game in a similar way but with the intensity lowered, it is enjoyable in a different way. Third is different and involves different tactics but I wouldn't say it is less tactical. In some areas you could argue first is easier to play (if you play careful and use cover correctly you are far less likely to be spotted at all in first).

lol! I'll look out for Mel in game..... I had to redo that last narration a few times because I kept giving away what happened. Wanted it to be like a little surprise! I don't normally shoot any new spawn unless they keep following me and I've asked them not to. It was the last bit that got me thinking about this vid, he basically shouts at any other player when he has no gear. I know it's really common but it really wound me up for once.....

I agree with a lot of this where you are talking about play style and the Zombie threat (I think there is currently a bit more to the game than you do!). I don't like the KOS play style, to be honest I don't particularly wanna watch a video on it unless it adds a lot of humour to it somehow. However KOSing needs to be part of the game. I need the risk factor that gets my adrenalin going when I choose to talk to players who are geared. I like the gamble of will they / wont they shoot, it gives my play style some risk for the reward of meeting a friendly player and going on an adventure. I don't like the KOS play style but if it didn't exist the game would not be the same. People need to be careful what they wish for IMO.

I really liked the music and the way you edited it was really nice. Some cool shots with the SKS ADS too. However an intro that lasted that long would feel right on a half an hour epic type video, not one where it's nearly a third of the entire video. I think you could do well at YT mate if you stick at it.

lol! While we were sitting around the camp fire I went in to steam and found Hollis and sent him a friend request. Nothing came back and I was gutted. The next morning when I saw his name on my friends list I was made up! I hope to play with him again.

The first dayZ group of players I played with, had me in it, a Norwegian, Portugese and a German in it. It gave me a better understanding of accents! He could only have been German or maybe Austrian I guess.

Thanks! I really would have paid a lot to have bolts for that crossbow, I ran behind him for about 1 min without him knowing I was there, he was chasing the guy you see him shooting at in the vid and he would have been an easy kill.

For me it ran much like the normal game aside from one freeze where it went down to like 1fps. There was some none fps related issues a couple of times though after server restarts. In one there was hoards of invisible zombies and after another, I was wiped (joined back in too fast) and my character couldn't pick anything up but was immortal (I jumped off very high silos and lived x2). There was some bugs to be ironed out but the actual running of the game seemed about the same to me.

It would appear so! I didn't know that was possible either. I have had that happen with other melee type weapons a lot since 0.49

lol! It felt good to get away. Unfortunately this happened when the servers were restarting all the time, sure enough as soon as I got to the first building in Elektro, it restarted. I'd have loved to have gone back and killed a few before they got me!

How many times during your 2 days of banditing to loot up do you think you benefited from the no sound? I got killed last night by an AK in Elektro to the West of the church, I didn't hear a single bullet fired and my mate heard them all from the sniper hill. I got killed by a Makarov at Veresnik military base because I didn't know where the guy was as the only sound I heard was the impact of the bullets hitting me (could see the guy in slow mo on my recording of the game). The sound is really annoying but it is the same for them as it is for you. You will be getting kills where the other player doesn't even know what has hit them until it's too late. I guess what I'm saying is, make your point about the sound but don't make it out like you are the unlucky one as it no doubt will have benefited you a few times and you don't even know.

Yeah he said "this isn't going too well is it" or words to that effect. I kinda wondered if he was recording too. I was gutted to be honest as my other half came in and really put me off, I think I could have held him up, had some fun and then let him go but unfortunately I had to shoot him when he was down as she was muttering something about going in the shower and asking me to listen out for a phone call she waiting on. I don't have time for real life! lol
