I like Red Orchestra 2 stile more: click once to fire, click again to work the bolt. If you want to shoot fast with bolt action rifles, then just spam LMB

I never use tents or stock places tbh, I don't even know why the hell would I want that. Whats the reason for stockpiling? I mean, I usually go like this: Fresh respawn, loot basic gear, go towards military bases to find good shit and either die there and fresh respawn again, or if I find the good gear now its random wandering through the map until something kills me. If I didn't find good gear, go to next military place/heli crash until I'm happy with what I got and then random wandering through the map until something kills me. Stockpiling good loot would make me avoid going to military places once I fresh respawn, but then I just miss one of the most fun part of my life cycle that is the risk in military bases and the whole searching for what I want, and jump right into the most boring part, that is random wandering until something kills me. I'm probably missing something, idk.

That was a very interesting watch man, thanks a lot! I actually play like this most of the time! Its funny how encountering people in this game can be a scary experience lol. Yesterday at the north airfield I literally stumbled on another guy, he tried to say something but fuck mate, I was so scared I ran like Usain Bolt, had just a CZsomething pistol and my FPS was kinda low... got the fuck out of there didn't even looked back hahhahahha, my heart was almost exploding tbh, my hands got funny and all that shit lol. I had my mind blown as well, how can a game do this to you hahhahaha In other places I usually control myself better and try to negotiate or talk for a while, but them airfields man! So scary lol

One performance tutorial said to set it at 100.000, my default was 31.915. What is this thing about? What do you mean by "responsible for default settings"?

Guys let me as you this: when you go to your Libraries/Documents/DayZ/Dayz.cfg there is one thing called "3d_performance". Do you know what does this do, and if I should put a high or low value for better performance?? Thanks m8s

Yep, 640X480 here. I'm at a VERY low graphics settings (INI edits included) because I simply can't play a game with low fps. I gotta take every frame I can, I really, REALLY hate low fps man. There is nothing that makes me more mad then trying to aim at something with low fps, I seriously want to stab the computer screen when such thing happens, and you know, since the game is not optimized and all, and at the moment I can't afford a better computer, this is what we have for dinner lol. Resolution does affect fps a bit. Also, I really don't care about graphics, never did. Tbh if I could, I would make this game Runescape levels of ugliness, so I can get more FPS out of it. Only so you get the idea, this is how Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is supposed to look like: This is how I play it: Notice the beautiful glitch on the wall texture due uber-low graphics settings lol oh and that blue foggy thing on the floor? Its supposed to be water But yeah, for me its performance -> visuals. I really don't care about visuals, unless it affects my gameplay you know. For example in DayZ I try to leave the viewdistance as high as possible (which is quite low tbh, I guess its 1000 on the INI file) so I don't get surprise butsex out of the nowhere. Btw, does anyone knows how to make DayZ more... Runescape like? I'm still not happy, game still way to beautiful and with low fps in cities. I would like at least 40 fps stable in cities. What are the INI settings that are safe to mess with? I just want to be sure I did everything I can to make this game runs as well as I can in my shitty machine.

I like the prison tbh, lovely place. I usually close all the doors and hang out there for a while, has such a different feel from the rest of Chernarus, the artist who did it is very talented in my opinion and I would really like to see places with more complex interiors like the prison, maybe a scary ass Psychiatric hospital. Also prison outfit looks *gorgeous* on my survivor so totally worth it, I always end up going there. Now that you can make fire without any matches I have absolute zero problems going and getting back from there. But I wish I could find at least a shotgun you know, I'm not even asking for AKs here lol. Pump action shotgun and I'm a happy man.

Just one quick note: New UI is FUBAR with lower resolutions, impossible to use it. Prease don't make it the only option until it works on potato resolutions, otherwise I will not be able to play no more :(

Weapons are everywhere here man, you can't have them legally which results in banditry armed to the teeth while workers can't have a simple revolver to defend themselves. You know what the really sad part is? We are totally dependent on the police to provide our safety, and guess, police in Brazil is just another failed institution here, as every institution we have (schools, health system, Government and so on). Oh well, thats third world right... only a goddamn revolution to save us, in my opinion.

Yeah man, tbh, reading again my post I think I was way to harsh with this game. You see, its totally worthy it, even with kinda low replay value its a goddamn fun and creative game, its simply not "more of the same" and that by itself its a huge thing in my opinion. When I said it wasn't worthy it, I was thinking on DayZ mod you know, that offers a better experience (at the moment at least) costing less then Standalone. But you are correct, this is one of the games I spent more time on, its one of my favorite games indeed. Maybe that makes my expectations high as well you know, I love DayZ, I want this game to be fucking good and not " generic zombie survival game nº3123". DayZ has SO MUCH potential its unbelievable tbh, I would be really sad if all this potential is not explored as it can be.

Man, my dream is a game like DayZ but based on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. It would be so much win beyond belief, them PvE elements, artifact hunting and all that jazz. One can only dream

The mags, they only spawn in helicrashes as well? I was hunting helicrashes yesterday too! Found one and it had nothing really useful (except for a nice military backpack, and I didn't had no backpack at all, profit I guess). Today I shall continue my search for the almighty SVD, I head that you can use a assault rifle scope on it! Man if thats correct, I must then find both scopes, seems like a very versatile weapon! This will take me some time I guess, goddamn unicorns, at least this one seems to be worth! Its really scary to go look at helicrashes when you only got a little pistol, high levels of paranoia tbh
