What do you think about the building interiors in this game?
Avant-Garde replied to Avant-Garde's topic in General Discussion
Imo it still is one of the best single player experiences out there man! I still play the 3 first games of the series, some parts are truly amazing and the atmosphere it creates is incredible. Scarry as fuck sometimes lol Get your headphone and play this shit man, you will not regret it. -

What do you think about the building interiors in this game?
Avant-Garde replied to Avant-Garde's topic in General Discussion
Yes sir, thats silent hill 2. One of my favorite series and imo it aged good in some aspects. Interiors is one of them! I would like to see dayz interiors as close as possible to say, this Imo it would be seriously good with the lightning effects that we already got, if we had proportional interiors. -

Lol I'm not talking about resolution, textures or lightning issues, its more about the proportions betwen the chars/zombies and the interiors. There are no options in the graphic settings that change that, it will look just as bad in your system man, but with better textures, resolution and shadows'n shit. My point is only about the proportions, it would make the game look a lot better even on my system! Btw yeah I run it in a toaster lol, with this graphics I still lag a lot and doesn't pass 40 fps. But it is enjoyable, the game is gud even with shitty graphics. -

Yeah smaller avatars could be a thing too! I'll provide some nice screenshots of all this really soon, now that I know how to make them. EDIT: Me and a friend went on a quest for them holy screeshots, and here are some nice ones. Don't mind the potato -
What do you think about the building interiors in this game?
Avant-Garde replied to Avant-Garde's topic in General Discussion
Yeah that is true man, I belive its because it would need to change the size of the buildings. The Novod skycraper would need it at least. But maybe this change doesn't need to be so big in order to make things a bit more realistic -

What do you think about the building interiors in this game?
Avant-Garde replied to Avant-Garde's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, it is not gamebreaker or something, its just ugly imo lol I mean, I think this is one of the few, if not the only game that I know that has this sort of problem. It's usually more common in RTS games. You see, take a loot at this Everything fits, the character could interact with any object in this room. It adds a ruge realism to a scene imo, and things might get ugly when we get barricating lol -

A few questions about survival - SA .48 Stable
Avant-Garde replied to Kirov (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
I find the bow very shitty at the moment. You simply have no clue to where it is going to hit. Once I was like 20m from a zombie, aim at his head and shot an arrow that hits the floor right on the zed's side, lol. Useless weapon man. The crossbow is cool, at least you can hit shit with it -
I bet the interiors will still look bad as fuck lol

Do you prefer fast zombies or slower zombies?
Avant-Garde replied to kevinthegreat's topic in General Discussion
I like The Last of Us style, where the majority are sprinters, but easy to kill, then there are the clickers, who are slower but harder to fight, and there are some fat wierd abominations from hell which are really hard to kill but rarer to find. Also that fungus shit is very nice Imo, looks very good and diferent. Diferent enemies would do good for this game, but they already are working on hostile animals so we are going to have that, I think. -
New graphic renderer - graphics improvements?
Avant-Garde replied to Ben_uk's topic in General Discussion
I would like to see interiors being a bit more proportional with the player model/zombies. Things like chairs, tables, hospital beds are too small. Hell, even some halls and stairs look like shit. That big new building they made in that huge north city you can notice this very well, imagine if there was a fire in that building and people would have to use the stairs.. it barely fits one person. The outside looks amazing, really. But the interiors are so bad... It breaks the imersion every time I get inside some building, looks like I'm in a dool house. I'll pay to see how this will look on ps4 lol. Compare to any other game there is nowadays and even older games like Silent Hill 1/2, they had proportional interiors. -
Thats the sugestion, craftable spears where you could throw at all your friends face or poke them buts with a good long range melee craftable weapon. Imo it would be nice if it had a GOOD stab animation, differently from the pitchfork that is so bad its not even funny. Its advantage over the almighty axe would be range, you could poke things from a safer distance if your "footwork" is decent + stab animations make it somehow easier to aim, also you could throw them at your opponent's chest for extra lols (hard as hell to hit thou). The downsides could be its durability, since its a craftable thing it could break faster then other melee weapons that you find. Idk what you would need to craft it, of course a long and thick piece of wood, a knife or something to either sharp it or attach to it. Maybe you could use it to catch some fish too. I would totally go medieval with a bow + spear charging in Elektro for glory and honor. What you guys think?

Zombies are weak, they need to be stronger...
Avant-Garde replied to battlerhd's topic in General Discussion
But game balacing is not made on alpha right? I belive they will be alright when the time comes. -
Dude, we have so little to do in this game and duppers want to end one of the activities that consume more time/effort... Whats the fun, really? Never did this, because for me the fun is also in the gearing up process. "Hey lets play a survival game where one of the biggest gameplay elements is you to have trouble setting up a characters gear, but lets skip all this and just cowadoody this shit"
-
Maybe we should taunt them this bad: So they get their shit together
-
Zombies are stupid you see, easy to avoid and all that shit. Just like dumbed down hungry monkeys. They are problem in closed places or/and in big numbers. Now humans my friend, I want some control over how our encounter would be, since they are unpredictable as fuck and in a situation of scarcity often hostile. So if I'm invisible I can control how my contact with humans will be. This doesn't mean I'm a bandit or whatever, its just safer. I belive that if one is not dumb, the zeds are not really a problem, and you might be abble to even use them in your favor.

I belive that beige/brown is the best for either urban or rural areas of chernarus. Now I'm using a green raincoat and a brown hunter pants + brown cowboy hat and depending on where I am I use a spare camo bandana that I have. The raincoat has a shitty camo but its very cool, I like raincoats. Camo would be better if we could break the human silhouette with craftable "ghilles" or improvised camo. I mean, If I was in a zombie appocalipse, it would be one of the first things I would do. Be invisible.
-
I think vehicles should be abundant, but hard as fuck to fix. I mean, Chernarus is a ruge "modern" region, what kind of region doesn't have at least 1 vehicle in each town? You know, those farm trucks and old crap. I would like it to have a lot of vehicles because it would be realistic, but also hard as hell (a lot of rare itens needed) to repair/find stuff to repair it so it gets kinda dificult to see them fully working.

The Effects of Starvation, Cannibalism and injuries on the players body and using the natural enviroment to your advantage.
Avant-Garde replied to Veteran Child's topic in Suggestions
Imagine, you see someone getting into a building, you proceed to throw some bloodbags in said building and watch the horde taking over the place with the dude inside. All this, of course, just for the lols of killing someone using bloodbags and zombies. It would create many possibilities in ambushing people I aprove this very much -
Yeah I agree with you man, its sort of a logical thing to have in this game Imo and it would add a lot to the ambush tactics in the game, imagine you and 2 more fresh-spawns make some spears and bows to ambush/outsmart that tacticool operator with his badass m4. Would be awesome lol But thinking in gameplay, I think it would be nice for it to be one of the easiest weapons to get, the thing that will give you more chances to live as a fresh-respawn and if this is the case, it would need to be easy to get. The pole is the problem here, were would you find it, or where would you gather it? Would you need tools to get this pole from something in the nature? If so, its viability as one of the first things you get would be lower and you would have no reason to do it if you could easily find an axe or a farming hoe. But, if it is hard to make and you might find other melee weapons while you search for things to make the spear, then it could be a medium-good tier melee weapon, which comunicates better with what Whyherro123 said up here Imo, and if that is the case, I think its durability should be better to compensate for the hard work you had finding everything needed for it and make it viable when you compare it to the axes. Personaly, I think that a spear should be better for melee then an axe, if you think about it, the axe might get you in a facehug range fighing zeds/survivors while the spear allows you to poke their heads from a safer distance, or even throw at them. Would be cool to make like 3-4 spears, so you throw some of them but keep one with you for the melee. Or even maybe 2 kinds of spears, one that is a bit smaller, great for throwing at someone's chest, and another that is bigger, like a bit smaller then a person, so you can poke things in melee without to much problem. Imo firearms should be rarer, and to make this viable we might need some good melee weapons.
