Hello. I'd like to get a proper answer about the persistence system that is keeping up the player built walls. The Admin of the server we play on told us that walls and gates are supposed to persist for 45 days. If we consider tents and barrels, you are able to reset that timer with player interaction. Well, recently after the last server wipe being 53 days ago, there have been reports of gates and walls disappearing in players bases. Thus the question: How do you reset the persistence timer on walls/gates? Do they have to be rebuilt from scratch or is enough to interact with them? As in, put a plank into them and take it out. For reference, our gates were built more than 45 days ago from what I know, however, we upgraded them with metal sheets later on. Is this necessary to reset the timer? With the recent update to introduce vaulting, our base' building is very vulnerable to the vaulting glitch through windows, thus we invested many hours into building it up safe to prevent people from doing that. However, some of these windows are up quite a bit and we would like to know what exactly it takes to reset persistence timers, before going through rebuilding these from scratch. I'm not sure how quick there will be answers here, but I'd really like to get one within a couple days with brief explantation, before all our work was done in vein in case our walls or doors just disappear after a restart. Best regards.

We can't tell it for sure since four of our barrels disappeared with the latest hotfix and that piece was most likely in there, but I asked some of my mates and they remember we found a single one early on. It might have something to do with them (devs) adjusting to the CLE spawnrates, likely the same way the FAL and Glock suddenly spawned a few days after the hotfix.

If I'm not completly mistaken we found a RIS handguard in the beginning of the patch (before hotfix even), besides the usual ACOG, Reddots and BUIS. Happened on our private hive, but can take a look if we still have it if all you seek is intel.

Do you have a link to that tweet/post he said that? All my search work for this topic ended up saying the opposite, as on 0.59 exp they seem to have been out of the game.

Did anyone come across an m4 or ak101 yet or are they not spawning again?

Hello people. So basically I have an issue that popped up in my clan. My people tend to love servers that do persistence resets with their restarts in short cycles as you have guaranteed loot once you respawn anywhere and especially in high traffic zones. This is not the idea of persistence and in my honest opinion, this ruins the server community even more and forces back this call of duty-ish style of play we had in the previous patch. What bothers me the most tho, is the fact that their upset with the current persistence and even more the cleanup, or rather non-cleanup of items is the actual reason for their desire to fast-paced gameplay. A fresh server doesn't suffer of a trashed persistence as a server does that is running for weeks. After a few days you see loot respawning getting less, but still fine to play with. Two weeks later you happen to see more and more empty places and besides that you realize that there are many items that won't despawn the way they should. Be it untouched items that nobody ever took care of or items that were thrown away somewhere, but won't get the cleanup they should according to their lifetime. What worries me the most is the fact that servers that use the persistence reset in an abusive manner to actualy pull the people on their server as they offer you guaranteed action and no long wait times wherever you are, just to make Devs remove that feature at some point. I personally reset our persistence roughly every 3 weeks with announced warnings for people to move their camps for the time of the reset (we have a 7 server private hive), as I realize the situation with the CLE is not satisfying at later stages and the amount of trash increases by day. Now what will happen on the long way to 0.59, till this issue with the CLE, cleanup and abuse of resets might be fixed? What should server owners do in those cases? What is legal, what is not? As far as I know it's not legal to use the resets to avoid the actual sense of the persistence and CLE feature. Is it worth reporting servers that do this, to get rid of "black sheeps"? I still see the 0.59 update to be far away from beeing released to stable, as the focus went to bring stable patches and less blocking issues, compared to the past. I personally agree and welcome that decision, but in the meanwhile the stable community suffers of the flaws mentioned above. I'm really interessted in a proper discussion at this stage. I keep telling my people about the issues we currently have and the fact that we are all still in early access, but they still have the point that it's also not working as it should, especially if your server doesn't have a frequent traffic to refresh the CLE and cleanup and that way generate thousands of items that rot in places, never beeing touched. What are your thoughts? Any official Dev or Team response is more than welcome. Best regards, Inso.

We wiped all servers recently on our private hive. Just need to announce them so people can move their camps between the servers. It gets kind of necessary at some point cause the amount of not despawning items increase every day and at some point you got quite a performance loss.

Hey fellow survivors. Recently I have had a few strange moments in terms of beeing hit. The issue that concerns me is the fact that a few times I encountered people, the first hit that actually blurred my vision a little, seemed not to happen in reality. Whenever I checked my gear after that hit, I still had my healthy status and all my items were still in the same condition as before. The only thing that happened was a slight lose of colour in vision. The first few times I had this issue I didn't think too much about it cause I either got hit for real after or killed the attacker. However, after seeing someone walking suspiciously straight from target to target at the Myshkino tent city, I was wondering a bit. Is this actually a hack to make people move out of cover? I heard about such a thing a few patches ago and am not aware if this is true. If you think about it, it would make sense. Imagine yourself hiding, waiting for the right oppotunity to kill your target, but him using such a tool to make you somewhat panic and change location, taking your advantage. I didn't experience this issue in the previous patch, so i wonder if it's another .58 bug, something known for long or possibly a hack. In case this really is a hack, our private hive would have the possibility to ban those people as we're one, if not the biggest private hive out there at the moment. Another thing that actually concerns me is that those hits seem not to pop up on the server logs. Yesterday I checked the log and didn't see this specific hit before actually dying for real. Something similar happened a few days earlier aswell where we suspected that person for beeing a hacker, without beeing able to proof it properly tho (except for his steam-profile comments accusing him for beeing cheating a dozen times). Is there anyone that knows this issue, experienced it aswell or maybe even a Dev or someone with insight that can give a proper answer? Thanks in advance.

Exactly my opinion.

On the back of a person that I killed today. Oh wait.. his friend had one too.

Power does not always give smooth frames.. Just take a look on ARK.. 30 FPS max, no matter how strong your system is.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
insolicious replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
But attacking someone that is hiding next to a bush with a full ghillie, not moving at all? That's really a bit over the top imho.. Especially if that person is 100m or even more away from the Zed. -
Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)

Hey people. This is more a question of experience than a discussion about a possible bug with the current Zed AI. In the last few days I've been doing quite alot of PvP in the area of Cherno/Elektro and hence there are a shitload of Zeds around we realized some weird AI behaviour. Whenever someone is triggering a shot within the acoustic reach of a zombie, they start to get nervous and tend to run around. However we experienced that they sometimes ran straight into one of us, even tho that person has not shot a single time yet and was mostly crouching on the ground or not moving at all. Considering that you can pass Zeds in qutie close range with the right movement it made us wonder if this is some x-ray superpower that makes Zeds aim directly for the closest waiting player. Scenario was mostly the following: Shots within Elektro with all kind of loud and noisy weapons, while we had a few snipers waiting in the outer reach of the city, mostly spotting and not taking part in the actual fight. They mostly checked their closer area and were hiding in ghillies, no spotted Zed in direct reach. But once noise breaks out, they complained about Zeds aiming straight on them and making them change location. Has anyone else collected possible experience like this? Any input is welcomed. -
