so as most of you are aware, an update came out not that long ago. and ever since that my game (dayz) crashes every other day???? i mean one day it works fine and the other i start up that game but it gives me a black screen for 1 second and takes me back to the dekstop and a window pops up saying that dayz crashed

so i was doing normal stuff in dayz (looting...) and i came across a military base near Cherno and i finaly find a AKM whitch i was looking for for a long time, i had a scope, grip, back ( most attachments) and so i leave the base to make sure i dont get shot as i'm jumping around getting happy that i got a AKM. (4 people in the server!!!!!!!) so i walk and i had the 75 round mag on it and accidently press middle mouse button and it reloads into a 30 round mag and so my guy droped the 75 round mag cuz i had no inventory space so i look around for it on the grass and around a car and so i stop to look at my inventory suddenly BAAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!! a head a mosin 9130 and "You Are Dead" . >:( . the worst thing is that he was max 20-40 metres away from me and for some stupid reason i didn't hear him. so he killed me in 1 shot and came up right next to me and shot me again with the same mosin to make sure i was dead (what i heard)

no way!!! so as many of you guys know, more zombies have been added to the game and so when i pass a city or a town or a village, i turn around to see atleast 5-7 zombies chasing me and i get my axe out and try to hit them with it as im sure they made it harder to hit zombies. so if they made it headshots only i would run around in circle for 2 hours trying to hit them in the head. you must be getting angry at me and wanting to comment "use your fucking gun". but wait, i have a mosin and i dont have that much ammo on it. so if i start to shoot the zombies i would use atleast 15 bullets on a group of zombies because they are not that easy to hit in the head as they do sudden movements and as they are like 1 metre away from you. i could possibly use my magnum but yes it would waste my ammo and it would make hell a lot of noise which could attract a lot of unwanted attention from possible bandits or snipers. i do agree with that zombies should not be 1-hit-kill from firefighters axe or any melle weapon (i read someones post) if you do make it headshots only it would be great to see that is you shoot a zombie in a leg or and arm that pard would fall of and would make it harder for the zombies to reach the player. this means that you dont have to aim for the head every time, you dont even have to kill the zombie. just shoot it in a leg and the zombie couldn't catch up to you.

Both would be great. the suit and the gun :D

a small helicopter would be nice, but would have to make sure its rare as you can travel fast around the map

as this lad over here has said, i agree with him that only a couple of vehicles should be added to the game. this is because its ment to be a zombie game and vehicles should be rare. if we have all the vehicles the poster of this topic has said, it would be more like a racing game because you could pick the cars that you want because there would be so many, you are ment to get happy when you see any working vehicle and look after it and if there were that many, people wouldnt look after the vehicles

so i was playing DayZ today as normal and i was in berezino between the church and the market on the road and i saw a zombie so i crouched and took out my magnum and shot the zombie, and straight after another zombie comes behind me and knocks me down! ok i get a little scare that i might die and loose my gear but sudenly i get my contious back and im laying on the road for a second just to see a zombie hit me again and i went uncontious again and this happened arround 3-4 times and then i saw that i started bleeding and so i died. nothing wrong with that. so i spawn in a village next to berezino and suddenly run back to the place where i died finding nothing but the zombie that killed me, my body has despawned and so all my gear was gone.

i took maximum 6 minutes but anyway thanks

hey, so i was looking at the dayz gallery today and to see that namy people got AKMs and M4s and i all i got is a SKS no attachments and i found like 5 more SKS around but never able to find something better. could someone please tell me where to find a AKM or something better and where i can find ammo :D

yes but if the sun is in the right direction they olny gonna see the outline of the pipe and not me

well its dayZ, i mean you cant trust nobody its just like a survival thing where everyone just wants loot

well i just climb up there look around for couple of minutes and loot well what i do is see if they are killing fresh spawns or holding someone restrained

yeah, andi got a long range scope on my mosin and if i go to Berezino i climb the high red and white pipe and look for any bandits around :D

but if you are going for the longer range mosin is better as you can put a scope on it (not sure if you can put it on SKS)

just like this lovely lad has said. Ghillie suits would be awsome as it would let you camo into the grass and trees and could snipe bandits. potential disadvantage is campers who could camp out with the suit and noone would spot them. idea of a ghillie suit came to me from "Arma 2 dayz"

thanks for the tip, but i think i will stick with the compass :D for now

the difficulty shouldn't change as if you try to get a hit from a longer distance its more chalenging. and yes i do have a map open in "shift and tab" mode as i look for cities and the road signs and them look at the map where i need to go and use a compass to se which direction i need to go :D

it would be fun to see a "sling shot" in the game for the fresh spawns who could craft it out off sticks and rope (rubber band) and use any round as ammo EDIT: not sure if it was already suggested or not

headshots ain't that easy to do around 100-300m or a moving target :D EDIT: and when the guys is trying to shoot you too thanks man, now i will not skip by cars and thanks for the locations

it would be great if a different animal would be harder to catch but it would have better uses. for example if you catch a dog you could use it to kill zombies and attack players from the back (just melee) and say if you catch a eagle which you could send to the sky and it could tell you the general location of other players within a 1000m radius or so. it would also be cool if you could find or make animal cloths so if your player is all camo, your dog can be camo aswell so others dont spot you

i agree with you guys and yes SKS is a good gun but i finally managed to get my hands on a mosin 9130 with a scope and to be honest, i like the mosin much more. the only disadvantage is that it only takes 5 rounds at once where as SKS takes 10
