A person needs objectives in the game, they need to know that if they are doing something, they are doing it to get somewhere. If there is no goal for the player, but just to walk around collecting stuff and survive, i think the player will get bored quite soon and start killing other players just because there is nothing else to to. If there is a common goal, people will be more likely to form a group. My ideas are: -For example trying to find a cure for the zombie desease (maybe collecting various medicines and clues throughout the map, having a player act as a doctor and the other ones protecting him), but making it very difficult and very long (ex. 200 in game days). -Another example, people need to survive for a limited time waiting for rescue (also a very very long time, one year? so that they are encoureged to build bases and team up to survive from the zombie hordes or other groups). -Increase by a lot the number of zombies and to have them walking in hordes (trying to escape them will divide groups and it will be a challange to reform them). -Adding mini-games in the world I really like the game, but all of my friends stop playing it after one week because they got bored, also i think it will prevent kos
