If I leave gear, like weapons, ammo, vests in a persistent server, will I be able to return to it after the server restarts?

When I installed Dayz for the first time, I had performance problems so I changed some config files and some launch option. I just resetted the config files, but how do I reset the launch options? Ive been playing for 300+ hours now and I get unusual errors, so I thought I could reset that.

Im experiencing the same problem. I have no idea what how to solve it

Just by clicking the launch options, they will be resetted? Or do I have to type the default ones into it? If so, what are they? :D Thanks for the quick reply btw

I offer -SKS, 20 rounds +10 roundclip (with ammo) -bag of rice I'd like to have: A FREAKING MOSIN :D have been through 20 servers and found 5 SKS' 5 shotguns but no freaking mosin. First trade =)

Recentley I am having problems with the server list in the main menu. Initially when I turn on the game, everything works fine. Joining a server is no problem. But when switching server this happens: After like 5 server restarts, my server list doesnt load up anymore. It has nothing to do with my internet because when I go to my favourites/history/remote servers all show up. Just the 'Internet' ones dont load up. Only a game-restart solves the problem, but I'm kinda tired of turning the game off every 5 servers. Does anybody experience this aswell? If yes how did you manage to get the servers to load up again?

Already tried. I just resetted my router, works for now..

So basically this happened, I was looting around in elektro, then suddenly some guy showed up. I told him I was friendly and only wanted to loot a bit. He said sure me too and pulled his blaze out. He pointed his gun at me, I ran around the corner, pulled out my magnum and put some bullets into him. He shot me twice in the leg and I fell unconscious, woke up a minute later and was surrounded by zombes, fell unconscious again. Another fellow survivor killed the zombies which were hitting me, I woke up AGAIN and gave him some bandages. I told him to loot that dead guys body cuz I didnt need anything. He rolled off to search a bush for some kindling for a splint. Another freaking zombie came to me and hit me cuz I couldnt pull out my gun for some reason and fell unconscious AGAIN. I woke up for the 3RD FREAKING TIME and ran off with my fixed legs. My question is: How many times can you fall unconscious and get up again? I was already on low health and woke up three times man.

Basic Trade, a SKS with 13 bullets of ammo + pristine PU-Scope. I'd like to have a mosin, have been struggeling to find one these days. EDIT: Nevermind, got killed by a zombie and my dead body was glitched(no looting possible)

Jo whatsup guys, basically I just wanted to switch to experimental a couple of minutes ago and it won't download any update as usual. I would really love to try out them 75 slot servers, but I just can't get steam to update the game. pls help and thanks

I dont know but when connecting to a server it says connection failed every time. So in the dayz steam priorities, do i have to be on experimetal testing or stable to play?

Well uhm, all though its pretty awkward to ask, can I have your mosin? Recently I just can not find any long range scopes. The other day I had 100+ mosin rounds, the mosin plus a compensator but the damn scope was missing. So, have you dumped your gear yet? ;/ Sorry for being a hobo

So basically this happened: I was in a Berezino PVP server and went up the southern apartment building. I walked up the stairs and heared someone shooting from the roof top. I slowly went up the ladder, and saw the guy camping there with an m4. I thought it was hacked 'cuz it is pretty much standart nowadays. I stayed there for 15 minutes just watching him what he does. Considering the fact that he probably has a hacked m4, made me think to knock him out. Basically after 15 minutes he stood up all of the sudden and sat down. He was obviously logging out so I went up, knocked him out, and took his gear. Then, for the very first time in months, I see a legit m4 with legit mags and legit ammo. And he even had a tactical vest which made me think that he hasn't been playing in a while. I felt unbelievably sorry for the guy I knocked out. He probably had that gear for a long time (except for the leather backpack) ;/ And now my question: Have you ever felt sorry for somebody you killed/knocked out? Btw, here is the profit I got :D Note: Sorry for my English :P German student right here ;D

Jo guys, recently I'm having a problem with the loading server list in the menu. Usually it takes 1 second to load the server list, but nowadays my list loads very slowly or sometimes not at all. I have to join one of my favourited servers cuz of the loading problems. Any solutions or experiences??

This was probably the most hilarious encounter with a hacker. So, I was a fresh spawn in Berezino running around. I went up the northern apartments and was lying on the roof top to see if there was any action going on. Then all of a sudden a hacker appeared in the sky above the town. He obviously went for me. I typed in chat:'HACKER!' I went off the roof top into the top section of the building. Then he appeared in front of me. I said 'Whaddup Mr.Hacker, please don't kill me.' (I was killed couple of times today so I was tired of running from town to town.) He was double carrying with a mosin on his back and an M4 in his hands. He dropped the M4 in front of me. I typed: ' If I take the gun I can kill you, right?' He answered 'Just take the M4' and left. I picked up the gun and it was obv. with infinite Ammo and I stayed in the building for 5 minutes shooting zombies. Then a guy under me wanted to come up the building to kill me, and then this happend: The hacker showed up, knocked the guy out, who wanted to kill me, with a fire extinguisher. I had a good laugh and died cuz of another hacker. :D *Sorry for my English

I'm not sure if I know what your problem is. Are you new to the game? Just keep holding the W button while being in the inventory.

Did that problem only occure on the server you were on? Your gun is bugged maybe, happened to me often. Only relog and it should be fine (in most cases)

I've been sniping in Berezino lately and in my opinion, it is without a doubt the best place for pvp. If you want to snipe on a full server, you have to keep on moving from position to position if you shoot once. Try spotting the town for like 5-6 minutes and you'll find a target. I guess you're playing as a bandit and KoS ;o Anyways, when you have found a decent quite inconspicuous spot, don't move at all. Watch your back all the time in 3rd person with the alt key. If you have an FNX as a backup you should be good if you hear footsteps around and can react fast enough. And btw. if you want to checkout a badass sniper (best sniper in dayz in my opinion) go to that streamer's channel Anthony Kongphan. I watch his streams everytime and I am always surprised how he hits them 900m+ kills. Cheers
