So everytime I die in, let's take electro for an example, I usually try to get to my body as soon as possible. Now sometimes you get lucky spawns at the coast in elektro or you get unlucky and get a spawn in Berezino. Sometimes I spawn in cherno but still kill my self because I hope for a lucky spawn. The run from Cherno to elektro lasts what? 5-7 minutes maybe? So basically my question is: What do you do? Keep killing yourself until you get a lucky spawn? Or just run?

Since the 0.50 update some cities have their doors open completely. The loot is still spawning as usual but the doors in some towns are always the same.

I just wanted to hear the opinion of others. I usually try to get my gear back because I'm playing with my squad and yeah. I just wanted to know if it was worth it to run back to your mates, guess I should've mentioned that in the post. I'm not trying to suggest anything, I just wanted to see how others would react when they die. I don't play DayZ for the PVP but certainly I do a bit. I enjoy the PVP in the high pops and in the populated cities, in fact I also enjoy the looting part where you kinda 'build' your character where you choose what your playstyle will be and how you want to dress / act in different situations.

in my 400 hours of DayZ the best time I've spent was looting up. Finding new gear, guns and ammo, backpacks, epic outfits and so on. It's just so much fun :D

The kill cam is a bit too unrealistic tbh :D But anyways the new "death cam" in the new build is pretty sweet because you'll see whether you got shot or just fell through the friggin fire station.

I'm totally with you. With 400 hours of playing time, I've experienced a lot of things. The epic ones were probably those moments where I was not pretty geared and killed some pretty geared. DayZ is not DayZ if you don't encounter other people, either friendly or badly ;D I haven't thought that this simple topic would turn into a flamewar.

7.25 seconds. Back in the day when Berezino was THE MOST AWESOME PVP PLACE. I spawned at the L-Shape concrete wall facing east. 2 campers with mosins and even a tent got killed by me. Unfortunately tents didnt work back then. But yeah that was pretty fast.

The troll is strong in this one. Why do you have to spawn with a weapon? To kill others? Go play CoD. If you don't like the concept of the standalone, play something else.

Ill post you pictures, of which buildings spawn long scopes. Have found plenty after the patch: http://dayz.gamepedia.com/File:PoliceStation_2a.jpg -> search every room of the police station. http://dayz.gamepedia.com/File:School_1a.jpg -> ontop of the school usually. You have to press tab and walk around but usually you see the scope on top. http://dayz.gamepedia.com/File:StorageUnit_3a.jpg -> simple garages also spawn longrange scopes, if not there is usually a pu-scope. http://orcz.com/DayZ_Standalone:_Corner_Pub -> go to a persistent server and you'll find a scope 100%. Usually there's also mosin ammo and a compensator in there. http://orcz.com/DayZ_Standalone:_House_-_Peach -> you find them stacked in the shelfs and basically every unlooted ATC-Tower has a high chance of whether spawning a: Compensator/Longrange scope/PU-Scope/PSO-1 Scope/weapon flashlight. I think pretty much everyone has experienced this. When you shoot someone / or find a dead body the body is either bugged so you cant see his stuff at all, or you can see his inventory but cannot drag anything into your inventory or drop it onto the ground. It happens to like every 3rd dead body I see. Anybody know if you can do anything about it?

I'm more the type of survival player in DayZ. Usually I try to speak to people to avoid unnecessary fights. I kill people who seem to be a threat/bandits. Today was a special day. I decided to play as a bandit. As I was gearing up in the NWAF I saw a guy coming out of the fire station. I was behind the 2nd hanger only geared with a Taloon backpack with some supplies and a blaze without any ammo. Now I had a choice to make. A) run away B) pretend to be a bandit and to bluff. Because I decided to be a bandit for once, I ran up to that guy. Typical server hopper, fully geared, full camoed clothing and a black high cap. I ran up to him and pointed my unloaded Blaze at him. I shouted 'Please put everything on the ground and don't you dare to equip your weapon, unless you want to get shot. I am sweating as I was scared if he had any buddies that may come out of the next bush and pop a bullet into my head. He actually believed my and dropped everything he had. Multiple backpacks in backpacks all stuffed into each other. Multiple high capacity vests and food. I took his mosin which seemed to be without any attachments. I said to him 'I wont kill you, don't worry.' He didnt move at all. I said 'Now listen. I will run away now. Don't move until I am out of your sight.' He did what I said and I ran off. This shows how intense a bandit rob can be (well only if you are a real bandit and not someone who KoS). Again, another crazy moment in my life as a DayZ survivor. btw, sorry for my english. =)

I hope the KoS will be reduced by playing like a 'friendly bandit'.
