Found my 8th mountain dew today in the church in Pushtoshka, where I've found 3 other mountain dews before. I've always managed to stay alive for at least a week, and I usually only find mountain dews one or two days after spawning, and never in "end game", except when I loot someone's vehicle, body or tent. I usually try and save them for last, as a "prize" for whoever may kill me, so my priority is most often (in drinking): Water Bottle, Soda Can(Coke), Soda Can(Pepsi), Soda Can(Mountain Dew). I don't feel any misfortune about the mountain dew. Well, I feel a little sad after drinking it, as its supposed to be some sort of token to newbies, if they ever happen to kill me! :D (I do usually approach strangers slowly if they show signs of being friendly - otherwise I avoid gunfights at all cost. Current humanity in [lingor islands]: 30.000~ish) update: 27.500 Some players got me pinned down, and I had to shoot my way out of it...

Learn to stay away from zombie spawns, as they usually spawn in groups around loot spots. Also, if there's shitty loot in the deerstands, barracks, fire stations etc., just pick up all the crap loot, and drop it outside. In a few minutes there will spawn new loot, and you're free to go. Rince and repeat if you have the patience for it. It may pay off, and it's 100% legit farming.

I went to a restaurant once with my friends, when we walked past a large group of people, some actually dressed like the yellow-shirted zombies (tourists, of course) - for some strange reason, I had a short moment of panic "OMG, do I have morphine with me in case of emergency?!" Well atleast something like this, it's not like I tried to reach after some gun or something, as other people might state they do/did. Also, when watching larger buildings from a distance, reminds me of Cherno. I've been playing way too much...

Had to turn my sound effects off, so many noobs in there who miss the respawn button. imo kamenka is the best spawn place, 10 minutes run = Zelenogorsk, supposedly fully or almost fully geared after this, and then, 10 minutes to the north-west airfield. Cya there guise!

And if lucky, one or two ATV's. Well, I don't know if those spawn locations has been removed, but I used to walk up there and find at least one semi-working ATV (Needs just some fueltank parts or a repair on the hull)

This is a question about gaining people's trust, as they told me over Skype they would have shot me eventually, if I never joined up on their conversation. Yes, there is indeed some people who feel a moral pledge, and state out their limit of actions before it gets.. just bizzarre. This is probably the closest you can get to true banditry, and not just random griefing or shoot-on-sight, as people do nowadays. I'm terribly sorry if you've never had the imagination for such actions, and my guess is that you rarely have fun in this game.

I'm so sad over that I never got this frapsed, as it's probably one of my most douchy actions in this game, yet it's the sweet old charm of true oldschool DayZ scamming, differing much from those "shoot-on-sight-yay-im-a-true-bandit" players that roams Chernarus at this very moment. Yes, I have a large amount of murders and bandit kills, but there's a funny story behind almost each one of them. :D

I would recommend getting a completely new, up-to-date PC. You can get them for around ~$500 or €300, but if you want a little gaming quality, don't hesitate to threw in a few hundred more. As an alternative, upgrade both CPU, Graphics card and RAM. I doubt it'll be a much better experience compared to a brand new PC, but it sure will help on it. Priority: Processor, gfx, RAM (I would place the RAM as second, as it's cheap as f*ck nowadays, but that gfx is really screaming out loud to get switched out...)

I usually play on DE 2243 or DE 2215, last place I logged out = Northern exit of the North-west airfield. Logging on tomorrow at 13:00 or 1.00 PM at +1.00 GMT Weapons: M14 AIM, M4A1 CCO Other: Rangefinders, M9SD with 12 mags Humanity: -295000~ish Legit, screw duping and dupers. Do we have a date?

Non-motor: Bicycle (Very first day I played DayZ, when you respawned with revolver and all) Motor: ATV, probably 2 months after starting DayZ. Yup, vehicles were fucking rare back then... Now I find like, at least one every day. >_>

I went to a freshly restarted server last night, and raided the NWAF alone. There were probably 10 players on the server. I found a DMR in the firestation with 3 mags, and in the northern barracks, an M136 Rocket Launcher and an M107 sniper rifle. I've never been this lucky at an airfield raid, EVER.

Nope, this could actually be for counter-sniping, or as a backup sniper in a friendly group being very cautious towards bandits.
