Current Gameplay (Not what you're thinking)

Cool story bro. People would go in PvP servers with a makarov, get a lucky kill and loot NVGs, SVD's etc., and go back and play PvE. What the mod really needs, is STRONGER ZOMBIES INLAND. Instead of spawning 80-120 zombies in the NWAF, go put 60 zombies with twice as much health and make them take only the half of the damage from headshots, so that everybody will have difficulties up there, which could also be quite fun. That way, freshly spawns who only has a makarov and a hatchet and are lucky enough to find a bike, won't be able to loot the entire barracks and get full end-tier equipments in less than 1 hour. -
Don't keep the hacked items, people might blame you for hacking! :) This would probably mean that the Ural is hacked as well. Heck, not your fault, I would drive somewhere north and ditch it in a forest, continue on my own trusty feet.

*facepalm* please please PLEASE!!! Learn to play, stop being such a pussy. Next time it's night time, don't log off. Make sure to have a flashlight, chemlights and maybe a flare. Travel from Cherno to NWAF. Once you've done this all by yourself without NVG's, you could say that you've got the hang of it. Once you've got the hang of it, you'll start to love the nighttime. I'm european, but I play at american servers just for the darkness. -
Yes, I've started gaming in the late hours in DayZ, but my mates are logging off because its too dark, pussies. Grab chemlights, flashlight and/or flares(dont get yourself killed by it, really.) - even better, nightvision. We'll make it through Chernarus.

Eat canned foods (+200 blood), eat cooked meat (You'll need a hunting knife, box of matches and some food - kill an animal - they're not that easy to find, usually open areas - aim at it and use scroll wheel, select "gut animal" - take the meat steaks, make a fire, cook meat, eat. +800 blood), Blood Bag (You'll need another player to perform a TRANSFUSION on you, by aiming at you and using scroll wheel, while having the blood bag in his inventory. Select "Give blood transfusion", you'll restore to full blood even if you only have one blood left.) Bandages stops bleeding.
