Grenades would explode a truck, I'd assume. The weird physics (like ice skating in a car) I have experienced was after the car slid and hit a fence. On a side note, where to the Offroads and Buses spawn?

Pogorevka? If that's where you mean, then yeah. It had one wheel a battery and a spark plug. It was sitting beside the well quite the thing, I travelled to Rogovo where I found another Sedan with a Wheel, which I took back to the first and then found another two wheels. But like I said, once I got it going there was no reversing it and the ground became a skating rink.

I've found a couple of Sedans now, are they even driveable? I've fixed one up, wheels, battery, spark plug w/e got in engine on but couldn't reverse? I know they're manual, and I tried switching through all the variants of the gears using Q+E but I still couldn't get it to reverse. After a while of doing a half 'donut' with my front end against a wall I managed to spin the rear end round enough to move away from the wall when all of a sudden the ground turned to ice?! and the car decided it was a fucking olympic figure skater. Anyone else experienced anything like this in a Sedan? Not found an offroad yet or bus.

Had found a couple of mags in the tents at NWAF a few hours after 0.59 had dropped and then found 2/3 helis but they were both Smoking Helis, fotunately last night I found my first Russian Heli and inside was my first VSS :D can't wait to test it in a combat situation but after pinging shots at zombies I'd agree it's pretty useless 300m+ lol

This happens to me occassionally, and I've yet to figure out what causes it, but it's definitely down to either holding down W for too long or double tapping it to hard run. Easiest way for me to get it working it so double tap (or mash fervently, depending on the situation) the key that would take me in the opposite direction and it normally sorts it out.

My personal opinion is that Hardcore is King, that being said, practically everyone favours 3PP and is evident in which servers are currently the most populated. My clan server had changed from 3PP to Hardcore the last time this argument rose its head in hope we could attract some of the so called Hardcore players and although our numbers were dwindling, we seen them take another hit, and now we've switched back to 3PP the numbers are trickling back in. I love Hardcore, and tend to play mostly in 1PP even when on 3PP servers but with the option there it's hard not to use 3PP to your advantage in combat situations knowing fully well your opposition are doing the same. If everyone who prefers Hardcore played on Hardcore servers we wouldn't even need this argument, but sadly, many like myself, opt to play 3PP as a consolation either because there are no decent populated Hardcore servers or simply their friends/team/clan don't like Hardcore.

Yeah, goin by calibre of bullets the 74su is easily first choice. The mags aren't that hard to come by.

SVD always, but if you're not fortunate enough to have found one then a Blaze/Winchester is just as good. Personal choice for backup would be supressed AK74su, UMP then MP5.

My first kill was in some wooded area somewhere probably near the South East coast. I hadn't been playing long, had never played the mod, so the whole feel of the game was new to me. All of my encounters previously had ended in me being killed, probably due to the fact I had no mic. Anyway, I've got an SKS and I see this guy running in the woods horizontally with me maybe 200m away and my first thought was to instinctively shoot. I stopped, held my breath and let go one shot and to my surprise he dropped instantly. I don't think I'd ever be able to repeat that shot. My scariest moment, however, was again back when I started. Still had no mic and was again running around in the woods (I got lost, a LOT, back then) when out of no where this guy wearing a bright yellow hard hat and nothing else comes rushing at me with an axe. I swear he chased me for a good 10-15mins, it was probably the most intense feeling in DayZ I've ever had, and I've had a few squeeky bum moments.

I just opted into Experimental awaiting this patch, when it downloaded the previous iteration of .59 it then got blocked by my AV flagging BE as a potential threat? Weird.

I have two HDDs, would it be possible to install Stable on one and Experimental on another? Just fed up of constantly downloading clients when I want to switch from playing with friends on stable to testing out experimental.

What I've taken from this poll, the one from Reddit and a thread on the Steam forum is that although what seems to be the majority prefer 1PP, 3PP server's are still more populated. Where are all the Hardcore players playing then?
