Well, best way to tell is if you have the disconnect symbol on the right. That's shock. And that's the only real way that you'd pass out for 5 mins.

Here's a story that happened about 2 days ago. I was showing my dad DayZ. I had just got done trading with CTS. I had a brand spankin' new AS50 with 4 M107 mags, and I gave away an AKS-74 Kobra with 13 AK mags and NVGs. Good trade. So I started makin' my way up to the NWAF (the trade occurred in Lopatino) and was hoping to get the drop on someone. During the trip, I realized I had to really use the bathroom. So I was approaching the airfield to where I saw the concrete wall in the distance. So I told my dad, "Just keep an eye out for anyone" and I went to the restroom. I heard my dad yelling about 30 seconds in, and I couldn't understand what he was saying. I said, "Just keep an eye for anyone who might be moving there." He said, "No, you're dead!" I got up and all I saw on my screen was "You are dead." He tried to explain that like, 30 people came out of the woodworks, and started hitting me with hatchets. All survivors wearing hats and armor. I started laughin'. It was my best character, and I hadn't even gotten to fire my new sniper. He felt bad because he didn't know what to do at all on the game, and I just couldn't stop chuckling because I get this far and I leave for 45 seconds, and axe murderers come and get me. It was funny :) Plus, it's kinda fun to start over on the coast again.

In the case where servers aren't responding correctly, or where conditions aren't ideal, yeah, I'd say that that's excusable. For the record, being shot at doesn't not count as not being ideal. :P

The thing about DayZ is that you can play the game how you want. Most people will do just that, FB integration or not. Plus you have people who don't buy into the social networking sites (no disrespect to those people. d :)) To me, you just sound like another butthurt player who got killed with gear and want to take out PKing when, if the roles were reversed, you'd kill for gear. Or food.

I've been tossing around the idea of making this topic, because I think it would be a great idea to start trading for things you might need, but also it runs a real risk because of the possibility of making things simpler for one person by shooting the other. BUT I have run into people who didn't shoot on sight, so I'm hopeful. This thread is meant for people who are looking for a specific weapon or some sort of equipment, but don't have the luck, and are willing to trade for what they want. So let me know what you think of this topic. I'll start. I'm currently on the hunt for a sniper rifle, preferably a DMR, but any would work. Ammo is also needed (an empty weapon wouldn't work). I can trade for an AKS-74 Kobra, with around 13 mags. I also have morphine, a blood bag, and 7 food items and sodas. I won't trade all of my food away, but I could part with half each. If you're interested, PM me and we can barter back and forth, and agree on a time to meet. And if you've got something you wanna trade or are looking for, post here, and hope for the best :) Also, tell me what you think of the idea.

When you see an airsoft M4 and you pick it up and look around with your head while keeping the weapon pointed in one direction, noticing how it looks the same.

I've seen plenty of servers that'll reset to keep the server at daytime. Are there any servers that keep the server at night all the time? (Also, populated would be nice :P)

That's good. I know a few servers (mostly the Roosterteeth servers) reset for perma-day (as you call it). I kinda got mixed opinions of perma-day/night servers, but I'll adapt. Mostly wanted to play with my new NVGs :3

Yeah, I tried using DayZ Commander but it didn't quite work for me. I guess I'll go the old fashioned way and look at time zones in the server list.

I swear the whole thing just screams bullshit. Why would you beg people on the Internet for money anyway? It would seem like you're just trying to get the money yourself. (if you weren't, why wouldn't the kid make his own PayPal account?) And even if this is legit, it's $23 on Steam. If you really wanted him to play, you'd've given all the money yourself. Video games are not that important, and asking for donations on forums is sketchy. We don't know if this is really what you're raising money for. And there's no way to fully prove it. There is more to life than games. And there are lots of F2P games if he is that desperate.

For a trailer, it might give players the wrong idea, but still, that's an awesome trailer. Makes me wish I could do something cinematic like this.

This would be better handled under the thread where 1.7.2.1 is located so you can get help from those who are also stress testing it.

I can't count how many times this has been quoted on this site, but put simply: Welcome to DayZ This is an Alpha. Deal with the bad and take the good of it. Also, only trust those you've met in real life. Like me. I trust those I deployed with overseas. They know the same tactics I do. So it's easier than trusting someone when you have no clue who they are.

This episode, I'm looking to disable a new player on the coast to get a blood transfusion, and possibly extend my life somehow. Link's down below!
