hey guys ive had this problem quite a bit, and so have plenty of people i play with without dying (ie running as a group and server goes down) and some relog to same server and they were a fresh spawn i myself had a character, joined my clans server ive played on loads and i was a fresh spawn despite logging off last time with loads of loot. exitted straight away, tried another server, was a fresh spawn again but this time in a different spawn spot, tried another server and suddenly i got my character back play for a bit, try logging to a diff server and back to fresh spawn, play on my clan server and i got my character back the entire time i was on steam, and it was always third person (i have a hardcore character and i didnt login with him) and none of the servers mentioned private hives, and i certainly got no message about being unable to connect to the public hive to get my characters stuff must be some kind of bug or glitch :\

hey dude dont worry, i know and understand this, but i guarentee there was NO ONE around me (at least within my bubble) and there were no zombies heh

Hey well ive set the settings back up how they were previously, but obviously that doesnt help me get my character back kind of annoying since i had in my eyes what i considered the perfect loot for me (its easier to take it from dead bandits than looking for loot all day) no way i was killed by a zombie and no way by another player, there was noone near me at all

Ok so i exit dayz and restarted it today to play again (for some reason it seems to crash when i try to join a new server having already previously been playing on one) and when it loads it looks totally different, like the aspect has changed, my playername has reverted back to "user" and all the settings are wrong. not only that but it also asked me to re-agree to the terms for battleey My dayz had been open for hours since last night, and when i quit playing last night i was in a safe area of novo on a low populated server with my friends so no way i died post-logout. when i log in today however, on the same server (one i play on regularly) i was a fresh spawn ?? im playing hardcore hive and on stable branch and ive had issues before where ive logged onto a server that has bad connections to the hive and couldnt load my character, but logging on to another normal server it reverts back to normal....not this time, and no server error messages to suggest that there was hive connection troubles and now i am scared to play regular incase it kills my character there as well anyone know whats going on ? why my dayz decided to reset itself and why my character is now a bambi ?

where abouts in the sea are you if you are really nice on here and close to some people, declare your location and be online at a specific time, i am sure a sniper can take you out once you spawn and give you a righteous death
