Got back there and no gear :( I guess the guy who killed me either took it all or it went bye bye when the server went down. I was literally only 5 minutes away from the location when it went down to smh. Thanks for the help tho, that is much needed info i can use in the future.

Ughh i just thought of something, i suppose when the server restarts or crashes(whatever it is it does) all my gear goes down the toilet? Damn!

I was heading back to get my gear after i died, about a half hour into the trip the server crashed or restarted. Ive been trying to find the one i was in but theres too many with the same title. The history category does not seem to be correct to me unless im using it wrong, are the most recent at the top or the bottom of the list? Are there any programs or easier ways to find the server i was on? Wasnt sure if this should go in new players or the servers section, my bad if its in the wrong place. Any help is appreciated.

i found a ak101 mag and left it because i didnt have the gun, hour later i find the gun but no mag so i left that too. NE airfield and the military base just south of that.

If theyre all geared up i say shoot, ive only had the game a week or so and every person ive ran into besides 1(who was a fresh spawn) started shooting as soon as they saw me.

find a road, choose a direction.. Ive only had the game for a week so ive been in your shoes and still do get lost, and occasionally die of starvation because of it lol.

Ok thanks for clearing some of that up. I just downloaded the standalone im pretty sure, whichever one costs $30 by itself. Im new to pc gaming so well see how it goes lol. Been watching Dayz videos for the past few months, its downloading now and i cant wait. :)

Im a bit confused as to what im suppose to actually download. I see Dayz Epoch, Standalone, Dayz mod and probably a few im forgetting. Ive been watching videos of Dayz for a few months now and am ready to play. Can someone also explain the differences in these as well, as far as i know some have vehicles and the others dont?? Im sorry if these are dumb questions, i just got a capable computer today and not sure how to get playing dayz.

Im not even on a 1080p monitor yet so im guessing that should help with playability? Will upgrade in a few weeks to a better monitor and cpu cooler. Also getting a ssd sooner than later.
