Guns fount regularly?
bernardopinho@gmail.com replied to Mays (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I trade every weapon for the Lee Enfield (unless it's a true sniper or a silenced scoped weapon), and I don't think the spawn chance of weapons has increased, I for one have not felt what you are saying. Seems pretty much like before to be honest. -
So if you logged out inside a building you would parachute from the outside to the inside of the building? OOOOR you could implement another system. I don't like this idea. You shouldn't be alerted when other people spawn in, that is ruining the immersion. However, I do think there should be some system to prevent/punish that kind of reconnecting you're talking about, but that should not warn other people imo.

Not sure if trolling-portal-fan or if it's a serious suggestion. Either way, no, just no. Ridiculous idea. It was funny when Cave Johnson talked about it the way he did, but that doesn't mean it should be ported into a military simulator running a zombie mod. Try again(?)

Nerf bleeding, buff zombie damage.

Point number one: Even if you started with a gun, you would have the added chance of aggroing more zombies, so that doesn't really make your life easier. Point number two: If you started with a gun, players would not hesitate to shoot you on sight. After the starting gun was removed, I have actually met many players, they saw me walking around with a flashlight so they didn't just shoot me. Of course there are people who still shoot others that are just wielding flashlights and appear to be just fresh spawns, but that's a different story. Point number three: Zombies are much more manageable now on 1.7.1.5, so just be a tad careful when going into towns, instead of just trying to adapt the game even more to what you think is the way it's meant to be played, try to adapt yourself more to the game. I'm not saying this is always the rule, feedback is important, I'm just saying that zombies are just hard enough. If you make it so it's easy to recover from a zombie encounter, it dimishes one aspect of the game, which is "zombies". Just my 2 cents. -
Spawning in hilly area

Dudes, if you have no GUI, hear no sound and are invisible to other players it's because you are playing on a server with a different dayz version. That happened to me a lot when I got 1.7.1 and was playing on servers that were running 1.7.0 even though they said they were running 1.7.1. So just find another server. Best regards. -
I don't know about those "50% chances", but there are chances that it will bug out, but regarding that -> ALPHA. Just that. Best regards.

There's an item called a tent. It has over 100 slots in it (not really sure how many) and it saves the items even after server restarts, provided you use the little function called "save tent" on the context menu (the scroll-down menu). Just be careful with how much stuff you put in it because it doesn't warn when it reaches its limit, and you can lose stuff because of it. More details here http://dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Tent Best regards

People camping the spot is a risk you must be willing to take. It's like pitching a tent, you always risk to lose the loot you put in it. But that's the beauty of this mod, the uncertainty of what's going to happen, the unerving tension. IT'S A FREAKIN APOCALYPSE! Yey. xD -
DayZ Map Question
bernardopinho@gmail.com replied to Matthaeus8's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I like having third person as an option' date=' but i've learned that crosshairs are a bad thing. I don't think hip firing is supposed to be so easy. I made it a point to learn to use my iron sights. [/quote'] I'm not much of a fan of realism, especially in a game about zombies but I bite the bullet on most stuff like damage and bleeding and eating/drinking. besides, most of the guns I like to use you can't see passed the damn gun when looking through Iron sights. You're not a fan of realism? Why are you playing a Military Simulator than? Why not go play CoD or Battlefield? Or maybe even GTA? I also suggest Tetris. And I also think that every single server should kick for high ping, I don't like trying to shoot someone who is teleporting due to lag. Best regards.
