i guess we can agree to disagree :P, But i know from previous interviews that Rocket likes the 28 days type Infected model, I hope he keeps to them and doesnt follow WarZ, But i guess he might yet still

But Dayz has slow zombies cos if your trapped in the firehouse (as you put it) with low ammo, the zombies are slow cos they cant run inside, Slow zombies would make this game too easy imo, Fast zombie are a threat cos (ok you can outrun them and lose them) but in doing so you risk attracting other survivors who will come and shoot you. Warz and Lfd2 slow zombies are boring, Am hoping rocket makes the Zeds run directly at you instead of zig zagging, and maybe headshots or hits to the head to kill them would be good too, maybe bodyshots only make them fall over, but they get back up unless they get a headshot :) I am legend wasnt really a zombie movie, it was infected, and alot the (Zombie Hipsters lol) only disregard it cos will smith was the star of it and it was a hollywood blockbuster type movie, but imo the infected in that movie were way more a threat and scary than romero/walking dead type zombies. What type infected/zombies would you be more afraid of in a real zomb apocalypse (dam i hate spelling that word lol) Whats the scarier zomb/infected? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOWeyGX5Bgk or (If BIS use the arma3 greek island in future for dayz will it be a Zombie apocodopodopodopalypse) :P

Zombies in "the walking dead" "shawn of the dead" etc = Not scary, can dance around them and take the piss, Only an idiot would get bitten. infected in "28 days" "28 week" "i am legend" = very fucking scary, try dancing around them fuckers :) pls rocket go back to the infected model, pls dont use warz esc crap boring slow zombies, thats kids stuff. I prefer a challenge, not just a shooting gallery :P Slow and boring. Fast and scary as fuck ftw :)

Me and me gf been playing Dayz for last 5 months, 2 of me mates play it now too after i told em about it, We all from essex :) -
I have been playing Dayz forr about 5 months now and i have always avoided nightime servers, I have logged on them and quit pretty quick (saying in my head pfttt why doesnt rocket make night a little bit lighter lol) to find a daytime server, But recently i have given the night time play a little bit of effort and have found it quite fun if play using Flares or Chemlights, and try to play on a low pop server lol, Theres little to no pvp deathmatching on night time play and it feels a lot creepier and more of a Zombie apocalypse :) Give them a try :)

Northern chernarus could be very cold, requiring special clothing (brightly coloured thermal jackets), need to eat more food than normal due to the cold, and maybe need to consume more fluids too, viruses spread easier and you get cold alot quicker Make the north alot harder to survive so clans and high geared players have it harder, Make the environment a challenge then players may not be so quick to kill each and high level items will be harder to attain. Maybe even make guns jam in extreme colds and vehicles engines break quicker.

So we dont improve the game because your worried it wouldnt be REALISTIC? Is using a mouse to move about REALISTIC?

Maybe instead of heli crashes there could be actual helicopters flying over chernarus (periodically) and players can shoot them down and loot the crashed helicopter after it hits the ground and the fire subsides, Maybe there could be a radio signal broadcast on a random frequency that you must tune into with a radio you fix up, either a hand held radio or a stationary radio in one of the airfield radio towers :P It would also make flying helicopters alot more dangerous cos many ppl would shoot at it not knowing if its a player inside or a server event :P Would also make it harder to get the sort of guns and equipment that heli spawns provide :)

Run, run and then run :), also you will learn what buildings have 2 exits, running through buildings with 2 exits will slow them down cos zombies cant run inside buildings, look around in the building before you exit it, keeping an eye on the zombies that followed you in, do this till you get an axe, then take zombies into buildings and axe them do death while they walk, always keep a certain distance from them. Also if there are no buildings that are open you can run through bushes and around trees and buildings to try lose their line of site, you will learn it soon with practice :)

Altho hearing and seeing how the radios work in arma already makes me want em in too :P A big selling point for the game too imo

Unfortunately i think radios are a waste of time and effort because most if not all clans/groups will use teamspeak/mumble/ventrilo etc instead. I think maybe a radio station broadcasting on a random frequency every hour (changing its frequency every hour maybe) broadcasting in morse code helicopter crash site co-ords, and maybe you have to fix a radio up to find the frequency and decode the morse code to get the co-ords, maybe the radios could be in the radio towers at the airfields and in the big cities. Rocket said if you are good at something in real life you should be good at it ingame. ie- morse code & ham radios? :P

There are a few new private servers with npc's and safezones now, Dayz has become very varied now theres private hives/servers, it can accomodate many different types of playstyle

There are many servers with high populations if you fancy deathmatch type of game, but if you prefer the zombie apocalypse survival type of game theres also many very low pop servers, even night time servers will provide a very good zombie survival feel to them if use chemlights and flares to play with lol Enjoy mate, this game is awesome :)

Am thinking alot of Dayz atmosphere is, or could be in the sound, at the moment the sounds are random, but i think maybe every opening of a door or gate could make a sound, same for firestation doors and warehouse doors, Dont think the sound should travel too far, but the fact that they make a sound would be cool and very scary. Be cool if anyone can think of other things that would make noises :P

Suggestions for the DayZ standalone - thinking outside of the limitations of an Arma 2 mod.

(Would loot being accessable from kitchen cupboards, gun cupboards, wardrobes, lockers and general places where you would have to open to access loot if there) make the loot spawning less of a burden on the game/server, cos the loot would be only accessable via a player interacting with the container rather than multiple loot spawning in a town when a player is close. just an idea and alot ppl (would and have said) it would be more realistic to have food in fridges/cupboards or guns in gun lockers or medicle supplies in cupboards etc etc etc :) -

Arma 2 is awesome guys, yea is hard to find a group to play with, theres alot more to it than the single player thing, theres many servers with different mods for Arma on or groups and clans you can join to pklay with, Try em out guys, dont miss out, theres a whole big community :)

Downloaded this map for arma 2 earlier just so i could see what it looks like, and in the process i learnt to fly a helicopter :D, map is awesome btw, bridges are epic, and found underground tunnels too all in a cold bleak setting of winter, very scary map, cant wait for it to put onto Dayz :) Am hoping Rocket and team steal some this maps ideas for chern + :)
