Dislike the Bandit skins/Hero skins mechanic. Find it very false, Can you distinguish a Bandit or a Hero from what they look like irl? I liked the fact Dayz was different/unconventional to the vast majority of spoon fed garbage games (cod/battlefield) Skin Not my cup-of-tea :P

As Rocket has made (the mod) and is making (the game) i have always wanted to play but no other games company seemed to want to. I thank you for that Rocket and even if it takes till 2014 (which im sure it wont), I will, and am sure the rest of us will too, be happy to wait for a game that so far has taken my whole gaming life to be made. Heck ive bought virtually all BI's games just cos i think you guys charge way too little for such an awesome game/project. Have persuaded serveral of my friends to buy Arma2 too, heck and even got me girlfriend playing too :) Happy 2013 to you Rocket and the rest of the Arma/Dayz community, and all those at BI. And especially to Ivan and Martin, Hope they home soon. Everytime i read a post from Rocket and get to the bottom of hes post and see the signature picture of Ivan and Martin still held in a greek jail it brings it home how unimportant Dayz release date is compared to that.

I owned a server (not private hive) a while back for a few months, But back then there wasnt any private hives and a server admin had limited power over hes/shes own server to change time or anything. I was wondering if now its possible to set a specific time on your own server (private hive ofc). Im thinking of renting a private hive server with Dayz1917 and settting the time to be always dusk time of day, That time of day/night just before it gets insanely dark :) I wonder if this is possible with any server providers or anyone has similar to this Happy new year x

Ahhh :(, I have been on a few private hives with permanent daytime (which i find a bit boring), prefer that dusk time when its a lil dark but not insanely dark lol So thought id try get me own to give me and other people a bit more choice. ps - i clicked the Report button there instead the Quote button when was replying to your post, Crapped myself, Thought id reported you :s lol (Its even tense on Dayz forums too ) Ahh the power of Dayz :P

Also i hope they keep the inventory system a little fiddly to use cos that builds tension having to pick something up can be nerve racking whilst zombies and players could be around

I love some bits of it, and hate some bits, I deff love the middle mouse scroll bit :) And the backpack bits ok, but the toolbelt isnt that great, having to drop items like a gun in order to pick up an axe to put onto your toolbelt isnt that great :)

I use to (like the vast majority of Dayz players, it seems) avoid night Dayz servers, I would log in and see the black screen then log out without even trying to play in the dark. After hearing Rocket say he prefers Dayz at night, i thought id investigate, so i watched some videos on youtube about playing at night and tried some of the ideas out. Flashlights - Chemlights - Flares, are your friends, And because most servers during their night cycle are low population you wont get that "Cod Deathmatch type of gameplay" Night time Dayz is alot more tense and has alot more of a survival feel to the game. So, use flares, chemlights and even your torch Stock up on them when you find them. Give it a shot, I bet you wont be disapointed. (on a side note - Is there any servers out there that are permanent Night, or at least have a cycle still?) Happy New Year all :) x

Yours sounds like survival gameplay to me :), I wish youtubers would show that type play instead of the military stuff (thats should be Arma play imo) x my beans to you my brother :)

With all the talented people in our Dayz community! :P I was wondering if theres any thought whether the Dayz promo/trailer (cos im sure there must eventually be one lolz) will be created by BiS themselves or by the Dayz community? Would be a great opportunity for us to give something back :) And maybe it could give some recognition to any talented people out there :) x

Maybe a few swigs of Whiskey or Vodka could calm you and stop you shaking or even raise your temperature in the cold :) Maybe even special dancing emotes only accessible when drunk :P
