New server up and running with 3 factions so far. The focus of the server is Vanilla plus helos and a few minor convenience mods; ear plugs (for the helos), Inventory in Car, limited Kill Feed (just shows player deaths), and Code Locks in addition to combo locks. Active admin keeping an eye on the speed hacks and ESPers. The server is limited to 30 slots to keep helo and car performance usable. Search for Violence Inc. I've read quite a few guides but haven't seen this mentioned much. I never get to go back into my old character. If I build a guy up and then have to step out for dinner or a break, I'll find a safe spot and quit. When I come back in, I'll see my guy's image with all the gear etc but when I click on play, I'll start over at zero. I've resorted to going to history, every time, and clicking on the server I was last on, more often then not I start completely over. Any suggestions? Do server restarts simply reset loot and then you spawn back in at the same spot or a random spot?

I'm finally comfortable getting the basics and hauling ass around the map to get setup but I haven't encountered many players yet. I'm in the northeast airfield just happily loading up when I go to grab a fire extinguisher sitting on top of the hanger in the NE corner. The second I pick it up my leg hurts and I'm dead. No sound, no description, nothing. Is this a sniper shot? Did I fall thru the ceiling? Did the fire extinguisher explode? It'd be nice if you could get a description of how you died, or is that the fun of it?
