Had this happen to me tonite, guy spawns in a building I'm searching and pulls out his gun, I shoot him, he starts to run out the room and he dissapears with the player disconnected message. Thats ok It happens and I wasn't out to kill anyone anyway. Moving to another room I see the same player connected message so I grab a spot and happen to look out a window and see a guy crouched in a bush looking at the building I'm still in so I hose him with the M16 through the broken window. Player name killed by Friendly fire pops up, so I decide I may as well see if he has any beans on him and as I reach the bush he was peeking out of all of a sudden bam! theres a guy running next to me and spinning at me, quick burst of the M16 again and the same guy dies again by my Friendly Fire. At that point I decide it's a bit too sketch and disconnect my own ass out of there. I didn't get any murders so I don't know if it's a bug or if it's a hack, one thing is for sure, each time the guy reconnected he knew what he was up to by his actions, I didn't stay around for him to try a 4th time.

Confirmed Same thing, ran across a dead body, checked it and Hid body. an hour later we returned to teh spot and flies still present. I thought I read this was fixed in one of the previous patches.

It would make sense to boil lake water before consuming it, I know when my friends and I first started playing this we filled our canteens in some pretty green assed water and figured we would get the shits. Also we killed some poor bastard who was just trying to fill his canteen and he fell into the water. We stood right over his body, checked his gear and filled our canteens all without moving from that spot. Adding expirey dates to canned foods is a double edge sword, sure it makes sense but it would add an end-game scenario and conflict with multiplayer life. Chernus as we see it is in a somewhat early stage of outbreak. You can tell due to no structures in disrepair, fields and lawns do not look significantly over grown, trees aren't growing through the streets and roads, nothing shows this event is taking place years into the future of the outbreak. Therefore all canned foods and drinks should be within it's expirey dates. No body is a year old in DayZ, so canned items should be good to consume. Here is where we can look at where an issue will lie with adding expiry dates. First is by adding expirey dates / timelines you eventally will run into NO canned consumables available, Ammo for guns will eventually deplete as well as weapons and tools. That stuff won't be restocked, because if it did, that means the viurs outbreak will be cured and over. You've just created an end game in either scenario. Second is by adding expiry dates they would have to be per character because when you start, it's Day 1. you die, it's back to Day 1. You have 1 guy at ~ 200 days alive and a guy beside him in at Day 1. These 2 guys are standing in a supermarket looking at a yummy can of beans, is the canned beans good or not? It's not fair making the new guy at Day 1 have all expired food and you certainly can't have some shipping company magicially come into town and restock the place when that new guys shows up. Here you have a game mechanic conflict. Leave canned items as is, but having to boil water is viable.

I was getting a similiar issue, at night it was like the brightness went down several notches in a sequenced order then the screen went totally black. After several seconds the image would fade back in. It did it during the day only opposite, instead of black it went full white. For me it was the Crossfire HD 5850's, I disabled crossfire and running off one card and it's been fine since. Possibly an ATI driver issue? I am running the latest drivers with one card and that issue is gone for me.

We need to be able to disable ingame VOIP if desired. When someone uses ingame VOIP it kills ingame sounds for ~8-10 seconds and usually that's right when your trying to be sneaky and listen for something..... And there's the assholes that insist on using it all the time for no reason, with the latest message kill feature you can't even see who that asshole is so you can mute him. Ever try to mute 45 people in the middle of a tense situation because you don't know who the asshole on VOIP is?

Yes we want to be able to identify friendlies in our groups, everyone wearing the exact same outfit doesn't quite cut it

Ya we need to be able to make bases or forts, we have hatchets and can carry around an engine block in our pocket, no reason we shouldn't be able to scrounge for building materials. In RL you can make an entire house with just a hatchet and a stand of trees. There's thousands of structures that could provide building materials, There's tin sided shacks, doors we could rip off, shit like that.

There are safezones, the forests! You want PVP trading and junk? go play wow. DayZ is raw and brutal, thats why it's so goddamn brillant!

I seen people post similiar to the OP on other forums and this makes absolutely no sense to me, a person spends several hundred dollars on a PC to surf the net, do email and stuff then another couple hundred on a game console. So here you have 2 seperate systems that do different things, one of which does it kinda crappy as a poster here noted game consoles run games at PC level lowest settings at low resolution rates. Why wouldn't one just buy a decent PC to start with?
