I picked it up yesterday because I know that when the game is out of alpha/beta I would buy it anyways. I'm guessing the release price will increase, and even in the small chance that it's the same price, at least I got to participate in the development of the game. If I get bored, or annoyed with the bugs, I can play something else for a few months and then come back.
