i hate the name tags, but you pretty much need them if you are running around with more than one friend to avoid either shooting them by mistake or letting someone waste you because you thought that was your buddy that had wandered off in that direction. i was in a 7man group of players the other day, including several new players that had zero movement discipline, i would have killed them all out of reflex if they didnt have nametags on.

i found a random morphine spawn miles away from medical or military loot zones after some guy broke my leg with a crossbow (he got an enfield bullet to the face for that). this was back when morphine was super-rare outside of hospitals. there were matches nearby, too which allowed me to get myself back up from 1500ish blood (the crossbow bolt and then fighting all the zombies that answered the dinner bell with a broken leg). that was probably the timliest lucky spawn ive ever had. in terms of long odds, i found 2 ghillies and a camo in a cherno apartment once. .

i have this too, sometimes it randomly goes away then comes back, idk why. i do like to run around with an m14, so that could be causeing it, but this happened when i had an akm also.

enfield enfield enfield. the enfield is a really good gun, it does massive damage (more than anything short of a 50 cal) and has good range and accuracy. yes it's loud, but you should ONLY use it vs players. use your pistol for zombies. the double barrel shotty is garbage. i usually don't even pick them up and just stick to my hatchet.

enfield all the way. huge stopping power, good range, good accuracy. winchester is for when you are new spawned and it's the first thing you find. your primary gun is for PLAYERS ONLY. use your pistol for zombies. seriously. find a 1911 or revolver and you are golden. even a makarov is fantastic for killing them (make sure its headshots with the macaroni tho) when you aggro a zombie just get up and start sprinting. if there is a forest nearby or the right buildings you can just lose them. if there is a building that is large enough you can go inside and shoot them in the head as they file in. any sort of stairwell works for this too. you can even use a hill for this in a pinch, just zigzag run up it, and either lose them or turn around and kill them. DONT use a shed or small building to fight zombies, they will just hit you/walk through the walls. the brown houses are about the smallest you want to fight zombies in. pink and red houses are good, as are apartments of all types. anything bigger is almost always good, but make sure you watch alternate entrances. again, enfield enfield enfield. it's actually a really terrific gun. (edit) p.s. you don't need to carry around a bajillion clips of ammo either. remember, your primary is for players. even in an extended firefight you probably wont go through more than 3-4 mags. enfield ammo is super plentiful too, so you can hit up a barn or house or whatever anytime to re-up if you are getting low.

sex change in the zombie apocolype? hmmm.... well i DO have some morphine and a hunting knife, even some antibiotics...hop up on that table there and we can get started...

m1911 for pistol slot enfield for best "starter" gun (only for players, use ur damn pistol for zombies) AKM as best "common" weapon L85 for sniping. m14 for allaround badassery. honorable mention goes to the hatchet.

they are both terrific guns. which one is "better" is situational. the dmr is better for scouting around, you dont have to pull out binocs for range vision. the dmr is also more accurate at range (obviously, it has a scope!) it's better for long-range encounters with players, especially if you see them first. it's better if you are playing with a friend and want to cover them while they loot in a dangerous area. the m14 is better for fighting zombies (generally zombies are pistol work, but if shit's really going down, the m14 cleans em up really good. it's loud though, ur gonna have to kill em all.) it's also better for closer-range encounters with players, like if you turn a corner and there you are staring at each other, or if you are inside a building. personally, i chose to tote the dmr and stash my m14 in a tent.

pvp is the best part of this game. i have never played another game that gives me the same feeling as when i see another player in dayz.

once upon a time, i was fairly newly-spawned and in stolichiny headed north to berezinho. i'm looting a building and a guy shows up and breaks my leg with a crossbow. unlucky for him i had an enfield and shot him all to hell. unlucky for me i had an enfield and every zombie in town came looking for me. i had an epic fight that ended with me barely alive, fading in and out of conciousness, with a broken leg. i proceed through the next building and there it was.... MORPHINE. a random-ass morphine spawn. hallelujah!! to make it even better there were MATCHES nearby. a few dead goats/sheep/pigs/cows later i was full health and went on to have a really amazing run on that life. that morphine spawn with matches has to be the luckiest i have ever had by far. i did find 2 ghillies and a camo in a flat in cherno once though, that's probably the most odds-defying spawn i've ever seen.

#2 also, more designs? "property of chernarus tourism dept." "university of chernogorsk" something in cyrillic with a zombie etc. these are just off the top of my head, im sure you could come up with lots more that people would buy.

NO games are supposed to be fun, this isn't. and most people i know own guns, idk where u got that idea.
