I'll argue constantly that western weapons should be in the game, then throw them all away for a druganov or an akm.

DayZ Origins has permanent houses/fortresses. Adds a lot to the game and would be good fun in standalone. Origins needs less hero bias though.

Had a zombie insta ruin my pants. Now it isn't just bandits who steal your pants!

Size comparison between 22LR (Sporter round) and 5.56 NATO/.223 (M4 round)

The weapons and mags should be relatively common, much as they are now. Finding bullets to put in those mags should be atrociously difficult. There are bases, roadblocks, checkpoints, relief centres etc. where soldiers would be present. Not taking into account all the vehicle convoys and foot patrols. Then you look at the fact that various people that may have survived initially, and picked up various military weapons only later to become zombies themselves. There should be a higher chance of finding them at places like military bases, police stations and such, but not ruled out of being in other places.

Or just shoot them in the head? A .22 won't do much to someone in full kit with a vest etc, a couple of headshots should ruin any headgear protecting them and kill them. Just 1 shot with no helmet.

All of those UN and US soldiers, possibly UK, are now zombies, wherever they died is where you should be able to find their gear.

I don't think there is any such thing as a safe looting location. Though you are right, since the east became the spawn coast, the only people in Cherno are on their way to Balota.

They respawn but they don't respawn running full pelt at you.
-
If you shoot a Zed, its replacement automatically agros on you. It is a temp measure so that the server is always packed with zeds.
-
Things like paracord and zip/cable ties would also be a fantastic addition.

time to retire the "forward leaping zombies"

Ever since they cranked the speed, I find those death leaps hilarious. They leap off buildings, down slopes to their death, or just downright miss you. -
Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)

In the mod, I used to kneecap them and just let them crawl about. Sure, shooting a Z in the head gets rid of them, kneecapping them makes them manageable. -
The accents and WOF/car reg tells me NZ.

I enjoyed it. Hope to see some more in the future!

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)

A lot of people complain about the respawning. It is there as a placeholder as they have stated many times. Surprisingly hard to load test the effect of zombies on a server if they are all gone 10 minutes after it starts up. -
SO all of the other foreign military equipment was delivered by the santas?
-
AU 1/2/3/4 Experimentals mostly. So the same loot as everyone else.

Deal with them outside, don't for the love of god shoot at them, don't sprint while murdering them. Their friends won't spawn with agro and you go about your business. They are different to the previous zombies but no harder to deal with. They also seem to lose pace/agro faster if you pack your shit and bail than the old ones, making them easier to get away from when it is time to disengage. -
I'll accept swords, so long as they are a long piece of flat steel with a duct tape grip and sharpened on a rock/grind stone/etc. Something that says "Ingenious psychopath" EDIT: Google comes to the rescue once again.

He looks like Johnny Depp

The same thing that killed you there, has fired me off the side of a fire station at high velocity. You then land, stand about for a bit, continue as before. You just wait till you move from stairs to ladders! Those are the true enemy in DayZ.

Well, in the same vein, all of the UN and foreign military helmets/clothing would suggest international intervention wouldn't you think? There are New Zealand berets, UK assault vest, UN helmets, US tactical shirts, etc.
