    1 word: Desync and terrible arma 2 engine that register shots and send them after you are done going to the poopoo and reading the newspaper. Happenned to me as well, I surprise a guy point blank in a barrack, unload 15 AKM bullets into his body while he is looking at some loot, he stop looting, turn 90 degrees, shoot me 2-3 times, and then we both die. GG. Thats how retarded slow it is, so take it into consideration. Sometimes its perfect, well almost, people die relatively fast some other time, like that one time I describe, shit hit the fan, hardcore.

  6. I completly agree, especialy about the idea of the ''plague'' in cities. Going in capitals for easy loot should be a nightmare. North west airfield should be a joke compared to cherno, electro ane berezino. Corpes should be all over the place. Coastal main cities should be covered in fog and toxic vapors. Every cut and wounds in a city would almost certainly mean infection. Maybe DAYZ could leave the zombies alone and perhaps use another kind of monster. Maybe surnatural monsters. Perhaps monsters inspired from series like silent hill? Hard to kill with many tricks to kill you. Some fast, some slow, some very though, some with insane attack abilities, some with range attack. silent hill monsters; http://characters.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Silent_Hill_monsters Perhaps monster inspired from exmortis? http://exmortis.wikia.com/wiki/Cult_Of_Exmortis Maybe some kind of monsters inspired from ''the mist'' of stephen king. http://aliens.wikia.com/wiki/Creatures_of_the_Mist Thing is, and this is the most important part of my post so take note, it really doesn't matter what kind of monster rocket use as his main threat in the game, zombies or anything else. What matters is how chalenging they are and how much fear they inspire. Zombies are overused anyway. PS; The survivality of the game would stay the same, only the monster would be different and how we approach them.

    Your idea need some huge work. Your time template is completly screwed and unrealistic. Nobody will baby sit a generator or anything every hours. You would need the whole server filled with the same clan... completly unrealistic goals. Balance it out.

    Why would you want more than 1 watche unless you plan on giving it to your friend? Also, watches is an ''equipement'' that go in ''equipement'' slots at the botom of the inventory screen, open your bag and shove the other watche in your bag. You can't carry ''equipement'' in the normal inventory.

  12. Rocket is now aiming for stability and bug fixes so we can actually test features in a relatively stable environement, Im perfectly with that. But once that's done, even if its never completly done, because glitchs and bugs will always be present, no matter how polished any game is, there are some issues that are, in my opinion, top priority. So, let's begin. Feel free to share your thoughs about my list or post your own list, even. 1: Hackers and cheaters. Yes, I know, rocket worked a lot and very hard to counter those human excrement lately, and it even slowed his production cycle. But they are still rampant and very very annoying. Today, as of 21 june 2012, there was a moron who played with a tank in cherno/electro on NY6. It also make it relatively hard to test features such as repairing a vehicule when a bomb fall on your head right next to it. We also have the annoying server owner from saudi arabia who host singleplayer servers and what not, probably the same bunch anyway. The war is far from over, and its almost worse. 2: Disconnecting to avoid death, to reset zombies and server hopping. I know this doesn't keep us from testing features to their full extent, but its really annoying. But it is second right next to hacking from a cheating perspective. Some clown disconnecting to avoid dying, only to respawn behind you 2 minutes later and kill you is indeed, very close to cheating. 3: Server ruleset standardised. Too many servers have ruleset that go agains't the true spirit of dayz. Rules like being able to see yourself and others on your map, or nametag from a mile away in a thick forest. In my opinion, they all should be veteran, no crosshair and no third person view as it is unfortunatly abused to see over walls and corners. Even though I really enjoy looking at my character, and traveling in third person view, it need to go until it is fixed. Perhaps when you ''enter combat''(Getting wounded, zombies aggroing or a ricochet in a 10 meters vinicity) it should get disabled automaticaly. Dont know if that could be possible, but Im throwing the idea out. Also, no more sidechat, command chat, or anything else that let random players use their mic to spam sound macro or break other people immersion. Of course, if that fit rocket's vision. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion Im certainly forgeting some major issue, but this is definatly my top 3. Allow me to add one little thing before I post concerning the nametags. Im for the nametags. I believe a way to recognize people or simply know who they are is important. A name tells you a lot about someone, especialy in a video game, its a better feature than heart beat or bandit skin to figure out if someone is friendly or not, in my opinion. You can tell the guy named ''Pro sniper 1337'' is most likely a new, young, and inexperienced player while someone else named ''*blank*'' knows the mechanic of arma and dont want to be recognized, probably a bandit or a player hunter. At the very least, someone concerned about player encounter. Finaly, you have the very obvious ass hole that will most likely betray you named ''your mom in shorts''. That being said, it is not always that clear, but still a better clue than any feature. Thing is, as it is now, it is very poorly implimented as it give away your position. So what I suggest is perhaps, code it so the name plate only appear from a fixed distance and under. Whatever resonable distance it is. No more forest scanning, and more frienship or balanced player encounters. Thanks for reading. tldr: There wont be any tldr. Enjoy. :rolleyes:

    It definatly need some attention as other people have stated, it need a longer range, a proper iron/reflex/scope sight and it needs a bolt quiver.

  16. Yes because I hate server hoppers. No because servers admin are crap and half the server are not updated or updated very late. They also crash and very often are full. Conclusion; Its a no-go.

But it would be nice if all ambiant sounds stopped while there is fog. Also, visibility for players when running and crouching shouldn't be higher than 2 bars at any time in a thick fog. Also, make the fog close enough to the player so it doesnt look like its acutally a lame ass fog of war. Also, clouds, change them when there is fog.

    No Vehicles on Servers: Heres the fix

    The only reason these guys have so many vehicules is because they have an helicopter with a radar that spot any vehicule from above very easily. Also, they actually took the time and effort to fix them and it take a while to gather all the pieces. What were the others players doing while these three all cooperated and found and fixed that many vehicules? Plus, it seems they are still in the borders of the map, which mean they can be easily found(a lot easier than in the void of the desert out of the map edge). Plus I bet you guys are all lovewolves and yet you think you can log every days to save your vehicule? Yeah right, you will log 1 minute too late and all your gear and loot will be gone. Good job. Also, it doesn't help people like me that actually work 12 hours a day 4 days a week. Also, it really dont matter if you reduce the cooldown to 5 hours, people like these guys, the guys that repaired all these vehicules, are certainly dedicated enough to come and log each day to save their vehicule since they are already dedicated enough to find and repair all these vehicules. Your solution is bad, and the current cooldown is fine. Get together ingame and actually find the hiding spots and steal the vehicules.

    12-24 hours is too short, I repaired vehicules before, and if I had to log every days to save my vehicule otherwise I would lose it I would be pissed. I work 12 hours a day, including driving on the road, there is no way in hell I could save my vehicule in time. 3 days to 1 week cleanup is perfect, and its already the case. Its a 7 days cleanup. So nullpoint. About crafting, no. Im all for crafting, but this is ridiculus, crafting a whole bike without a torch some mismached wheels and scrap metal in the wilderness... sure. As it is, it is perfect.
