in reality hotwiring is incredibly easy so i dont understand why it would need to be intricate or time consuming, the ability to remove the car battery or the need to replace an empty battery would be nice however as it means a car with a dodgy battery might not start and therefore it is stuck (means people cant just joyride from gas station to gas station without worrying about anything)

rocket has said before that DAYZ takes place in the "armaverse" as the devs call it meaning the chernarus operation did take place meaning US and other western forces were present in chernarus. also rocket has stated that when the infection first occured british spec ops were dispatched which means a fresh influx of your dreaded western weaponry, in short they have there place and they fit well what would be nice though is if i could loot said weapons of the dead soldiers rather than just running into a building and finding it there. -

clearly this thread is inhabited by people unable to use the Arma 2 GPS properly, the GPS shows you where you are what direction you are facing and not to mention if you dont have a map it works as one too.

keep it they are hard to get not to mention they are only truly effective to 500m and as for them "not belonging" the heli crashes are british spec ops i think the equipment they are using under the circumstances of a zombie outbreak might warrant thermal weapons. -

worst idea i have heard in a while choppers are supposed to be rare and the hueys present dont have chaft or counter measures. not to mention one hit from the AS50 will send it down to the ground like a giant metal potato. -

From the nature of OPs argument i can conclude he hasnt been playing very long as anyone who has knows that first person is usually the key to living longer against bandits and that you can turn headbob off. As for the whole having to go to the bathroom thing doesnt bother me either way although it would be amusing to see one of those god awful NWAF campers get shot going to the bathroom. -

Personally i'd like to see more 5.56 rifles aswell as making the 7.62 rifles rarer as they are more powerful. Also some decent shotguns for a change namely the AA-12 or the Saiga 12k -

swimming is too slow? this isnt GTA, your wearing a bulletproof vest and a backpack full of god knows what, you should drown if your wearing a pack and should be forced to drop your things in a desperate attempt not to drown. fishing though is a great idea. -
wrong if they were to use arma NPCs players would cry and all go back to online play as the NPCs would be the equavalent of Counter strike hackers who take every drug on earth, eat raw caffeine and just generally destroy everything, you say they are predictable i say unless youve played standard arma you have no idea what youre saying. all in all no offline play its lame and takes all the fun out of it.

Ok, you seem like first time tent owners so ill be nice. aim at the ground bring up your gear menu and then slow walk backwards while right clicking and saying place tent continue doing this until it goes down shouldnt take you more than 5 meters. -

As a bandit id like to see this implemented so that we could blindfold those that we attack make it so that the blindfold stops that person from aborting and alt f4ing by making there character persist while wearing this. This way we wont be forced to shoot you to get your stuff as we wouldnt have to worry about you d/cing. This would add so much depth to this game and as a previous post said add the rope and tranq darts too. We are bandits not griefers and i'd like some of you to remember that. +1 to this idea -

Sounds like you caught the HIV. I personally like the way this infection is set as it gives you an incentive to stay out of the rain and to avoid zeds. I do understand your feelings towards antibiotics although i believe they should remain to be incredibly hard to get. This is true you dont get sick forever. you get sick and then you die because you havent been taking your pills. -

+1 This liberated point would make an excellent place to meet with other survivors to trade or share information ( maybe you found a car spawn that you arent interested in), the newer players can also ask the more experienced for help. As a bandit myself I could understand the reasoning behind attacking such a point but personally I would be quite happy to let it keep functioning so long as I'm not shot on site and am treated with the courtesy that is shown to other survivors, hell ill even kill bandits attacking the liberated point. My 2 cents on how to clear the area are after a certain amount of zed kills zombies stop spawning at that location for a certain period of time (maybe 100 dead zeds kills the spawn for 5 minutes). After this has happened the players setting up this point would have to place an item e.g. flag pole (code it so it can only be placed on a dormant zed spawn point) that will force the zeds to spawn 200m away. solution to stopping these points being set up everywhere is make the said item that is required incredibly rare possibly rarer than all the goodies like NVgs and the like. These are just my opinion but this would add some wonderful new additions to the already awesome world of DAYZ. -

this would be really good. there is no problem to go into wood' date=' lay below a tree and than log saftly out. as i do always. you see here how often they diconnect and reconnect ingame. i really hate such behaviour. think i was 3-4 times in 20min video ! it would even be good to go up to 5 min or more that you can go again ingame. like how the 1.7.2 will be. thx for your hard work rocket ! [/quote'] so if your net drops out, you lose power, join a server with a ping kicker or something along those lines and you happen to be in a populated area you get fucked in the arse because of a mechanic that isnt defined enough. I'm not saying your idea is bad im just saying it would serve more of a purpose of say your character persisting for 20 seconds as this is enough for someone to happily unload on you and to stop server hoppers make it so that if your registered as connecting to more than 2 servers in 20 minutes you get knocked out with a 5 minute shock counter. -
I can say ive been outside and that its been completely black. flares serve a purpose and for the issue with chemlights use the green ones chemlights are made to be carried inside buildings or thrown to mark paths. Dark is fine it gives us a reason to find NVGs or a car, the real problem here is players dont like not feeling safe and for that reason alone people will whine about the dark because they dont want to use a flare, chemlight or flashlight. so no leave the night how it is.
