What about some kind of full auto shotgun? And a 1901 10 gauge shotgun (upgraded winchester 1887 to accommodate more powerful smokeless gunpowder). I actually have 4 weapons atm: AKM (75 round drum), Magnum, Ax and a sawn off. An overkill? IKR?

When silencers are actually functional pistols should become more used to take out zombies (I hope that by then I'l be able to swap my ax for a mosin (and then the pistol would replace the axes role) then I would have an auto, a sd pistol and a sniper-PERFECT)

Ok you could put a bipod on an mp5 but it would look rather silly. Bipods are usually used for big guns (like snipers/lmg's) not compact cqc weapons

Dude just put your hands up (if he has a gun and your not a newspawn). There is a 50% chance he is going to give you some food afterwards. There is a 95% chance your gonna get shot in the face if you run. Don't try to get your gun out or anything, they see that and assume that your going to shoot them. Don't. They have their gun trained on your face it is probably too late to retaliate. Okay if someone asks you to crouch you should run- DEY WANT UR BLOOOOOOOD!!!!!!! (or to sell you into prostitution or other stuff)

My first kill (I think)- 14 July 2014, 25 hours into the game Me and my friend just spent 1 hour running around in Chernarus trying to meet up till we finally got together. I was standing on the tower smiling as he ran towards me with nothing but a sickle and a mask. At last. Suddenly he disconnected and once again I was alone. We decided to join a high pop server since it's quite boring to play on empty servers but little did I know that Berenzino was even more dangerous than any of the 3 military bases and 3 airfields I have raided before. I spawned a few seconds earlier than him and decided that I would go check out the police station, I got my revolver out (just in case and made a sprint towards that happy building of guns. As soon as I opened the door I heard a mosin go off. I ran up the stairs and took cover "I'm friendly" I shouted and not thinking about checking the corner with third person even once I leaned. Another shot blasted int the wall behind me. I lifted my revolver (even though I had an AK) and leaned around the corner again I fired once. I had gotten him but he wasn't dead yet. Before I could finish him he pulled his trigger. Rage took over. I had lost: a pristine AKM (with a bipod and a flashlight), pristine fire ax, pristine revolver, 3 AK mags, 2 speed loaders, and loads of other gear and equipment that took forever to get my hands on. There was hope, my pal had spawned in, and even though all he had was a crappy rifle, I was sure that he would be able to take him out. But all that he found was two corpses... Seconds later my friend is killed by a KOS kid.

as far as i know you need a rail system like on the handguards available to the m4 and the ak. I hope that the devs will eventually add a specialized barrel mounted bipod for such rifles. They will probably put a handguard with rails in the game for the mp5, but they are probably too small for a bipod. Who thinks the AK should get an overbarrel rail (like ALL other full autos) so that we can atach some proper optics?

I have met three friendly people and one survivor in Elektro(who who I later found on the police station with a .22) I suddenly started hearing shots and thought that he had opened fire on me, but then they suddenly stopped. I decided to check the police station a for a scope that I had left there (I am a hoarder, I have a bi pod, a stock, a scope and two mags for a gun that I don't have but am trying to find) and (not knowing that that was were he was shooting from) went up. There I found his body (and even though it is not supposed to be possible) a group of three zombies surrounding him. I axed the zombie and considered taking his rifle. I didn't. Most of the bandits in my server are around Barenzino so it's pretty safe to run around the coast since there are mostly hero's and newspawns. Oh, and i once held a guy up whilst my legs were broken...LOL. Luckily he was a friendly and helped me with some morphine. I'm off topic now...

My first death in SA was when I attracted one zombie, tried to run away, attracted 2 more and the next thing you know you are trying to kill a group of ten zombie with your bare hands because you are a newspawn that doesn't know how to play DayZ yet. Sorry if that was rude, but that was me 3 days ago and now i have only died twice since. In my current life i have a full military outfit and weapons, I have a full medkit with a blood bag filled with my own blood and a saline bag next to it and am fully armed. Sure I could get killed any moment but also can everyone else. I'm sorry if I sounded kinda rude, but what i am trying to say is that it really doesn't take long to get better at DayZ. :) Avoid guard posts (and RIFY I hear) till the game is in it's final stage (not BETA/ ALPHA) and make bandages out of your shirt. Sprint (double tap W) out of town if you do not have a melee weapon and there is a zombie nearby get to a two story building or zig zag up a steep hill and sprint down. Hiding in the bushes will sometimes work (practice make perfect. If you do have a melee weapon and you hear a zombie: Start looking around, Immediately equip it (weapon), raise it, and face the oncoming zombie, as soon as it is close sidestep to the side and hit it, run in circles around the zed whilst attacking it till it drops dead. Get an axe (2 shot kill) or an fire axe ( 1 shot kill) Try to make friends in DayZ and add them to your friends list on Steam. It is especially useful to have friends to call on when you break your leg whilst falling out of one of those towers (which happened to me in my current life). If you have an axe and some bandages you can make yourself a splint by crawling (I heard there was a glitch that allowed you to dive roll out of prone) to a tree, going into crouch and selecting the option to chop it down. after it has been chopped down check you vicinity, which is the same button as your inventory, and pick up the wood. Split the wood into sticks and combine the sticks with your bandages and now you have a splint. Use the splint. Morphine also helps.

When I say backpacks i mean anything that you dropped. The weather should be able to damage the stuff over time though.

I think they should allow you to place backpacks around the map, but they should be stuck in that server. It should be like normal loot (as in that anyone can take it), but it should not reset when the server restarts, but when you (the placer) die. Also what you have in your backpack should decrease the ammount of loot that spawns in the world (otherwise you would be able to hoard a never ending supply of weapons). Maybe one day, instead of servers restarting multiple times each day they will only restart every few months and force the players to hunt, fish, farm, build and craft.
