You miss the whole point. This isn't about morals. This is something you are not allowed to do. I respect what they want to do and if they never shut the server down, there wouldn't be a problem. There is a CLEAR problem of doing something specifically stated you cannot do.

+1. This isn't fair at all. I have had several dozens of camps raided, lost, and demolished. As a Server Host and Admin this is unacceptable. Even if they bring the server up this should be black-listed because the equipment wasn't fairly gotten at all and was protected while other members do not have this benefit.

You won't be able too. I just tried to search for the server they have listed here and its not up. Can't see it through DayZ Commander, Six Launcher, or the Arma2 Browser. :I They can't just shut down a server to protect loot. You can see it through DayZ Commander if you enable "Show unresponsive". Meaning it is currently offline because they have taken it down.

Pretty sure whenever the Beta comes out or when DayZ potentially moves to Arma3 will be the 'latest' they wipe everything. Though I have the tingling sensation they may wipe everything sooner than later.

Our server runs on an SSD and we don't experience any long loading times. Just saying.

It wouldn't. Thats an Arma2 thing. I know Arma2 has been releasing more and more Beta Patches, So I couldn't tell you why Arma2 server devs decided to not put 'was killed by' in their logs. Remember, DayZ can't just go 'Put this in' on an Arma2 Engine.

I don't think it would be. I think it has to do with because everyone is on the same team "BLUR" and it doesn't show up in the logs due to how DayZ and Arma2 is setup. I am not a Dev and I don't know the exact reason-- that would just be my best educated guess.

I do not think this at all is for the longevity of the mod at all... But I also know Rocket has said he doesn't care if DayZ fails or not. Its an experiment. My stance on it? I did ban people for disconnecting to avoid PVP and Hacking and I had DayZ staff inform me I had to unban them or they would blacklist me. I /wish/ Arma2 and Battleeye was much better at their jobs. But they aren't because Battleeye and Arma2 wasn't exactly designed to handle DayZ. DayZ just uses the engine and Arma2 WASN'T that popular until DayZ came along and suddenly made it skyrocket. Do not think I am 'defending' it. I am stating what it currently is. Its defending in the context of the question, but certainly not my personal viewpoint on it. Yes, I rent and admin several servers, which are linked in my signature. They aren't slotted servers either. Its our own dedicated.

Servers with notebooks would only be full of them if a lot of people were dying. Which doesn't matter? That's like arguing to take tin cans out because they are everywhere.

Hosting a server is completely your choice. No one put a gun to your head to do it. You did it because you wanted to do it, correct? If you don't like how DayZ staff have constructed their ToS to handle your situation. Simply don't host it. You haven't hosted a server where the loot you have carries over to a main HIVE server and controls statics or worldwide stats. How many MMO/FPS servers have you hosted? My guess, None. There hasn't been that many, if any MMO/FPS servers. And if there WAS they weren't connected to one central server like DayZ that controls ALL the loot and equipment.

There was nothing wrong with the server. Our BEC was acting up on ALL of our servers. We have since then removed the idling kick function. It was doing it on US128, US167, and US302. It would help if you follow our thread for this server at http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/17713-ubcs-server-us128-us167-us302-5gmt-50-slots-with-ts3/ this way you keep up to date on what is going on and LET us know when something isn't working. The forum search feature is your friend.

I know Rocket wants to eventually have underground storage and underground bunkers. I like the tent variety idea.
