animated ragdoll system-red dead redemption style

Never said "flying back" also you have the same tools I have to search your damn self I proved there are guns that exert enough force to move a target object back a significant amount, the video I linked does so it also proved my point about shooter readiness I'm not gonna sit here and do your read watch for you, I'm also not going to argue all the variables presented in real life versus a reality tv show. I've fired the .50 anti-material rounds wachted the reactions of the targets as well as the firearm. Wanna see for yourself google it -
Oh the GTA bad player lobbies. But seriously what if you should accidentally pick up hacked gear? What if you only play 1pp servers and so you haven't got a clue you picked up hacked gear unless someone tells you? Granted I know most hacked gear is obvious (bottomless mags and such) but what if you found a hacked can of beans (unlimited beans lol) and because you're already healthy you haves eaten it yet an found out it's hacked. Also from most of what I've seen these guys can just hack in new gear on the fly so a wipe just punishes us not hackers

LoK has a bit of a point, katanas aren't really regional if anything I'd rather stumble across mongol weaponry it highly likely to find remnants of the Golden Horde all over Russia and could make sense

No I specifically brought up the .700 in my original post, and as far as the .50 just look up the gun, the gun itself is designed to take 90% of the force from firing the barrel compensates so it doesn't knock you back, you can use YouTube just as well as I can plenty of videos that reference my points. -
I specifically stated how it would improve gameplay! If you chasing me down for my gear involves a risk to you you'll think smarter. For example, I've just finally located an M4 and a magazine, a bandit comes up fully intent on robbing me, we congratulations you know have a choice to make, continue to try to rob me at risk to the gear you're to lazy to find for yourself. Hope you can restrain or kill me before I kill me. Or stop being a lazy prick and find your own gear. If I go along with a Robery the gear is lost to me anyway, what's it to me if I ruin all the gear? Obviously in a controlled situation I'm going to stow my bag in the event I need to "take a little off the top" but if it's me dying and you taking my gear I currently have no defense to that. With this system I do, it improves gameplay because it forces yet another difficult choice on would be bandits, CQC combat now becomes about getting that head shot and quick, or spray and pray and risk losing all the gear anyway. Sure irl a cold steel blow job doesn't ruin all your things, but this isn't real life, and this gives the guy who isn't out to sdomize the world with rotten zucchini a defense against the ones who are. Protective cases would function as normal te contents safe the case itself ruined however. This also helps closely mimic the effect suicide has in real life. It's not your life you ruined it's the lives of those around you, it also penalizes you, getting robbed sucks but there is that chance you'll get you're gear back if you spawn close enough to your body, a bandit might just be after your m4 you might find an SKS just after spawn and get the drop on them. A Hero Type might be nearby and get the bandit before he kills you. It's like an onion and adds layers to the choices you make. Do I allow myself to be robbed hoping my assailant doesn't kill me? Hoping I can hunt ten down and get my gear back? Hoping he just takes mah beans? Do I hope a friendly is near by and kills the bandit? Or do I say fack it? One little pull of a trigger and I'm out, he doesn't get it I don't get it an I've payed the price for one of the most selfish acts possible! No one wins this is the penalty of Suicide! Not timers and magical respawn zones in purgatory actual consequences. A choice that physically effects everyone on the server. Once they hammer out all the current bugs suicide should be a last ditch option. Trapped up a flight of stairs with a snapped leg you couldn't avoid before you kille that zombie. Again just dump your gear and pull the trigger. Still ruins the pistol all your stuff is fair game, but I understand, but giving people the option to kill themselves with nothing more than a respawn timer doesn't create immersion, having a physical consequence does

EXP - Map now shows the players exact position
Lithium1056 replied to gibonez's topic in General Discussion
Which since these are tourist maps why I suggest they only show the location the map was found. It shouldn't update with a current location, I would support a movable you are here "sticker" so that if you pick up the map in cherno, run to NWAF you can move said "sticker" to NWAF then use it as a starting point to pathfind. Let's face it though even if it's included in retail it shouldn't "magically" show players around you and most of us (at least on this post) don't use the maps anyway. By the time retail comes out we will be able to close out eyes turn off the monitor run in a straight line in any direction turn and do it again and still know where we are. If they leave it in the simplest option is have it be a server check box option. -
EXP - Map now shows the players exact position
Lithium1056 replied to gibonez's topic in General Discussion
Gonna cover this the same way I did in a previous post. Maps should not "highlight" other players, if a position indicator is provided it should only locate the position a map was picked up, (good old fashioned your are here marker you'd find on tourist maps: IE Elektro police station) Provided you have a pen you should be able to make paths on the map take notes make way points for your self that only show up on the map, not in the HUD. If you get killed and looted that map still only indicates where it was found and whatever notes you made on it. In a realistic situation you'd take notes on the map especially if you lack a compass, you'd mark game trails and high population areas. Mark landmarks (your landmarks for navigation not pre-existing landmarks) you'd notate where you stashed food etcetera. Not only does this negate a need for visual indicators of camps on the HUD it adds value to the map, it increases player ability to navigate and survive, as well as creating an new social dynamic of giving well used maps to bambies and in between players -
I still fail to see how a rifle stock makes the gun OP? It doesn't add damage, accuracy, decrease sway so I'm confused how they got brought up other that I can stow one in a back-pack which make it harder to ready since it's now either gotta be hot-keyed or drug to hands! So confuse much lost

Here is the reference where it's actually possible with just one of the guns I mentioned, when I get home I'll find the explanation of the barrel design of the .50 anti-material rifle, and the video of plent of dumb asses mishandling firearms tat explain the difference between being prepared to compensate for the force exerted by a firearm and not being prepared. -
technology to scan a face's for a unique character
Lithium1056 replied to MAVSLAYER's topic in Suggestions
It's not as difficult as it sounds, as I recall one of the Tiger Woods PGA games did it, you took a picture of the front, left and right sides of the face. But as previously mentioned..... Dicks! Honestly I'd rather just see the standard create a character sliders for face and body type, easier todo fewer peckerheads and let's more people have custom toons -
Do you want to see persistant storage disapear with player death ?
Lithium1056 replied to massacrorBKK's topic in Suggestions
No not wing able to access my previous camp/having it disappear is far worse than the current state of the game. While your logic is partially sound, I didn't die a character did. Being able to loot my own corpse or tent has nothing to do with my toon. What you're suggesting completely negates persistent storage. If the player that built the storage can't access it. It's just a tent/base with items. Honestly if player built houseing includes locks that require a key, this problem kind of solves itself. I'll have to 1) run to my house 2) find and axe or sledge hammer etc if I can't make it back to my body in "x amount of time" and break down the door 3) rebuild a door and lock to keep my area secure. Yes some people will stock pile guns and ammo. Many however (like myself) will stock pile rations and survival gear. The fact that there are only a few places (at the moment) people go to means a slim number of paths which means a huge number of game trails (areas frequented by "game" and this stalked by predators) so the areas most people hide their tents will be in areas near these and not as hard to find. Sure survivalist might hide their tent in say Bumphuck Egypt so that it's an hour hike to re-gear and then hike back to Elektro or NWAF. But the chances of dying during that hike are increased. Also the fact that for you to be able to stockpile requires in most cases multiple trips to and from camp increasing the odds that you will be ill owes balances this as well! Having tents degrade over time without interaction is fine with me, it's also mildly realistic. You leave a tent in the woods it's going to get snooped in by wildlife and affected by the weather. But having it lock or just disappear is not something I want to see. 0.02 -
Awesome someone with some insider info letting me know beta starts in September........ Honestly like Bone said it's probably a hive issue. It could be hardcore servers? I know slot of those Freshspawn when you connect for te first time.

Being prepared allows you to compensate for the force, and not once did I say that you'd be knocked back a significant amount by a shotgun, I said it'd would knock you on your ass. And I could provide plenty of reference material where unprepared shooters hurt themselves, are knocked over, loose the firearm etc. -
Ok so with the "clown" masks (they are actually the masks from the payday series) why is that suddenly "bandit" masks? I see everyone post about them and how that instantly means bandit. I don't get it? Also are they licensed or do the developers of Payday just not care?

.50 AM rifle can and does knock targets down/ back a few feet. Hence the way the rifle is designed to take most of the recoil, also the fact they are rarely fired from a non-fixed position. Or if you'd like a better example look up the .700 nitro express, also a shotgun blast will knock you on you ass. Equal force applies yes, but 9/10 time the shooter is prepared for the force while the person/animal/thing is not. Don't cite myth busters if you aren't going to cite all the facts. Myth busters tested with typical "movie" guns (ie hand guns and shotguns). Not anti-material rifles or anything designed to handle the force exerted by that type of round. They also didn't mention that the weight an stance of the shooter applies. Or that the weight stance and position of the intended target apply. No you're not going to fly back 10 yards, but many higher caliber rounds can spin a target, knock over an off balance target etc. that .700 is likely to move a target the size of the average man a few feet from the location he was shot in. Gravity and physics at it's finest -
Considering the only game I've seen the PTrS in was world at war I'd like to see it in the game ad for added fun we can let people attach the LRS to it then sit back and wait for them to pull the trigger.... Ok I'm joking still it would be funny listening to the "how did I die? It worked in COD?" Comments. Overall I don't like the PTSR especially with more common anti-material options. Although I'd like to see big game rifles added

Seriously, they "just started working on vehicles" ?
Lithium1056 replied to Walker Tall's topic in General Discussion
Man why don't we have a finished product yet? Oh yes that's right, calm down bro, they said small vehicles possibly by Christmas (bicycles yo! Technically a small vehicle) so let's all just wait and see what happens, nothing on the map worth a vehicle yet. Later there will be I'm content to wait (plus Destiny beta yo) -
No I'm not to lazy they just basically mean the same thing the way they get used most often, and in this case a creature that neither feels pain nor shock nor (in most zombie lore) has a circulatory system could not be put down by a single round anywhere but the head, which is authentic and scientifically realistic. My main gripe is that I should be able as in any other survival horror game be presented with a weapon that I can pick up and use. But also have an extremely finite amount of ammunition. Instead I have assloads of ammo and no weapon. Time to find a hammer and nail and just say screw the gun lol

A AK is an AK is an AK placing a folding stock on it doesn't suddenly make it overpowered I divert to the princess bride here "you keep using that word. I don't think you know what it means!"Also example of OP the moddle 1887 shotgun in MW2 could be dual wielded and had an effetie range if across the freaking map......... That's op

Him spending 50$ isn't contributing to the community, especially if he's restarting everytime he gets in a pickle! That's possibly the single worst bit of logic I've see all day. He's harming the community. It works like this, BI allows outsourced companies to host servers they in turn charge you to admin them. BIs rules are enforceable and enforced I've seen many a server suspended for admin abuse. Our privilege as earl access testers is to contribute to this community by going out of our way to attempt to break this game, (which 90%) don't do. So no it's not his house it's an apartment he leases and the landlords can evict him at anytime. Nothing you said applies until he's allowed to lock the server in which case we will have private servers. Right now all servers are public. And only rented to lighten the load on BI and allow as many people to find bugs as possible

You (people in general) keep using those words..... I don't think you know what they mean?

1: in order to comply with international laws it would have to either be labeled with a Iron Cross or just negate any "Nazi influence" and just be "German WWII" helmet etc. 2: Chernarus is as involved in any fictional Nazi invasion as they want it to be. 3: I fully support German weaponry, armor and such however not so much, in that Era, most of it would have been buried with it's owner, or ruined. Many Nazi froze to death and were subsequently as tank trails (kid you not look it up) not sure that would be "pristine" condition gear. WWII Russian winter gear once weather effects us would be cool. Also stop trying to apply real world location and history to a fictional universe. This is a video game not a documentary! We don't have any restrictions in weapons, conflicts, or anything else. People screaming this is a former soviet state that turn around and cite it's based on the Czech Republic any American items should be removed seriously grind my gears. Go look up Czech/US relations, we are just as up their arse as we are with any country we play "world police" for. So in closing I would be thrilled to see era specific German gear, however it's a find line to tread due to international laws (ie: swastikas as I recall are against the law in Germany) so an analogue symbol system would be required.

Lithium1056 replied to timoseewho's topic in Suggestions
I think you are very much underestimating the dev team, this isn't a ground up build, this is a rebuild of a one man teams garage mod. They have to tear it all the way down then rebuild it. I think that launch will be a pretty polished monster further polished by patches and community mods -
Also I wanna add, rugby and football armor would be useless aside from American foot ball helmets maybe (but we already have motor bike helmets) Not sure what they use in rugby but I imagine it's not a whole lot better. Cleats would be acceptable for hiking and stomping a mudhole in a zed, but we don't seem to have. Kicking animation, Plus I mean not sure American football sees a lot of playtime in Russia, (although I'm all for exploration of things you wouldn't always find in a former soviet state that doesn't actually exist this may be pushing it) shin guards from Soccer though not a shabby idea they are designed to take a couple of harsh blows before breaking. Time will tell
