    Damage Indicator

The only thing that should change about the damage indication system is directional awareness. a slight indicator from the direction your hit, this should also apply to missed gunshots

    Craftable armor

Not any fear but most of them. None if these save for maybe the cast iron door should protect against multiple ballistic impacts however I wouldn't use any if this for PvP, that's what the ballistic armor already in the game is for. As far as restricting movement scale is extremely restricting, and also why it's crafted in multiple sections but it's still extremely stiff. Any of this armor should effect multiple stats, Dehydration: this stuff doesn't really breath (most scale was affixed to leather double hot!) Storage: do I want full armor or just upper body? How much do I want to be able to carry? Movement speed, it's heavy, add a pack and even heavier FOV: head gear is going restrict your already restricted FOv (assuming you play FPP) So even with all these options you have hard choices to make that's where the balance comes in,

Seeing bullet counts in character/bag screen

Bullet counters aren't in immersive assuming your have 3 30rnd magazines you know off hand you have 90rnds plus the magazine in your weapon so that's 120rdns now you expend a magazine back to 90rnds, this is something you'd constantly be aware if as a survivor, rather than automatically count off rounds from the magazine you could have an animation like condemned where you pull the mag to check round count to have that subtracted

I think it's important to note as well, that this would sacrifice your vest/coat slot unlike modern armor options

Yes, I think you're right, an I should have included that in my post
  6. During the blitzkrieg you had multiple instances of "pristine" gear that was left behind by the Germans, a good many froze to death later to be buried under snowdrifts (and occasionally used as tank paths but I imagine that gear would be slightly "worn") For the most part though I think of rather see weapons of era Germany rather than clothing, especially since accuracy of the clothing could potentially limit the market or just have to be blanket inaccurate (IE: all regions seeing officer get with the iron cross so as not to violate any international laws) that said I hope we see plenty of "winter" wear from that era on the Russian front. Not gonna lie those guys had some snazzy winter gear

Indeed although ring armor is a theoretical concept, with no historical data to back it up I'd rather see Scale than nothing if implemented. Just kind of feel like far to many people would be running around with cast iron "riot shields". I can see where ring armour would be semi efficient against melee, just not against much else.

Simple lower the requirements, no one should have to spend hundreds of dollars to bramble to play your game this is the cause of console gaming taking a huge chunk of the market. Many of yesteryears "hardcore" gamers like my self find we have these pesky adult responsibilities now. I loved the gradual increase I got as I upgraded a GPU, or got tht hot new CPU! And then overclocked the piss out of it! That competitive edge I had cause I could Max out my settings! 400$ for a 7.1 Dolby capable sound card? Hell yeah! 200$ for a 7.1 head set? Bring it on! Yup miss the hell out of those days. Now it's 500$ for a console with a projected shelf life of 3-7 years not 7-9 months? Yeah I can live with that. You should always reach as wide of a audience as possible while granting the edge to the highend but not cutting out the mid-lowend

    Craftable armor

There is very little historical data to back up ring armour, scale armour is actually harder to produce than chain though offers better melee protection than mail, it would offer as much ballistic protection as mail (ie: 0) Also while the overall concept of craftable armours is fine, I just do see it fairing well with the overall community. It's one of those things that could clog up resources as well as take up loot spawns. And falls below protection levels of armours already confirmed (stab vest, ballistic vest etc.). I'm for the idea just don't see it getting implemented pre-launch.
  11. Would much rather see a variety of pistols/calibers than a bunch of different kinds of one pistol, (and I own a Kimber the integrated laser sight in the grip is nice) a 1911 is a 1911.

    Craftable armor

Either I'm misunderstanding your use of the word riveted or you're using wrong. Mail was constructed with simple interwoven rings that were pressed together, and was generally worn under other armours, when why I am talking about is constructed properly it does infact withstand repeated attack. Ok assuming you've not worked with chainmail so I'm not holding it against you

Wow didn't realize "Ye' olde smiths" had welders and such as early as the 4th century? No seriously common made mail is just as resistant to old mail. It's efficient against melee and such, will deflect an arrow or two and stop a bite. No machines or smelt needed. Honestly "I find your lack of faith disturbing" it's just effective as "real" chainmail because it is chainmail. People often think chainmail is over armour and it's not nor was it it was used in conjunction with leather and other armours as added protection. My point is with a spool of metal and a pair of pliers anyone with the skill/will to craft a set of nail could do so and achieve decent protection against bites and melee attack. Obviously it's only as good as the material used and not designed to withstand repeated attack. It's not like I'm suggesting mithril(sp?) here

1: no I expect to be in a T-shirt, jeans, athletic shoes, with a flash light when I spawn 2:why not doesn't take a crapton of time to fix a broken leg in SA just a 4 second animation 3: yes I can craft modern melee armour in a shed with basic tools. With the right materials could prolbably craft something that would withstand 9mm and below welcome to the future bubba

1: won't matter after vehicles are implemented2: plate? Really? Cause anyone uses that anymore, chain actually has several modern uses 3: most combat Armour today is designed to be as light and effective as possible

It's also the most logical light armour choice in a zombie apocalypse it's light breathable anti melee/bite

    Craftable armor

Things required to make chainmail 1: pliers (to link your rings most popular pattern is 4-1 each single ring being linked to 4 other rings) 2: rings (usually made from a spool of high gauge workable metal) 3: a steel rod (to wind the metal around to cut your rings) 4: snips (to cut your metal) 5: time depending on the project a few hours to a few days. Tell me again how hard this is? (Trust me I've done it) Also it's a video game yo! So long as you have the items which is what should be hard to find. You're a button click away from crafting. Anyone with a few minutes to spare can learn to craft chainmail. And no welder required sure it takes a hot minute to make a shirt or gloves but it's possible for anyone.

I say let's implement chainmail (which if reasonable supplies are available is fairly easy to make

Ballistic Vest - What Should It Do?

I'm just using your post as an example not directing at you. People constantly talking about magazines act as if it's perfectly natural to find fully loaded magazines laying around. But have a fit when it's suggested finding a gun with an empty magazine especially pistols. I support finding at the very least a pistol with a empty mag and finding no loaded mags anywhere except maybe at bases where surplus magazines would be located loaded. Weapons should spawn with the appropriate magazine. The current system is not added depth if anything it pulls me out of the game because every magazine is fully loaded I have to regularly dump the weapons I want to use for things like the magnum and the SKS because it may be four restarts til I find a mag for my guns. And I'm not saying hey spawn more mags hell spawning and empty mag in a gun means you can lessen mag spawns. Even if a mag spawns next to the gun I'd be fine with that that would add more depth to me than finding a AKM 75rnd drum nine klicks from any gun

    Map loot markers

the Map should only have a permamark for it's found location(ie: police station in cherno)

Seeing bullet counts in character/bag screen

Ok the limited indication isn't a bad thing, in real life arguments aside. The medical system in the game is simplistic enough that you don't need more detail. My leg really hurts = better take a look at that! It doesn't need to be my left femur hurts. There doesn't need to be some complex mini-game of setting a fracture before you splint it. A rudimentary blood level indicator would be nice for a change yes. I mean you can tell when you've gotten a pint low. The "b&w" screen doesn't help me much. I've gotten that trying to find enough water or a charcoal tab to puke up bad fruit. Slightly blurring your vision every minute or so would e better.

    Map loot markers

It's a tourism map it needs the Cyrillic and the Latin. Much like you find on IZurvive haven't actually looked at DayzDB so not sure how that is. The map should automatically be marked with the position you discovered it. Then you should be able to make marks on it as mentioned as you navigate. I also agree, that the compass should show on screen like it does in the mod along with the watch if implemented. And this should be persistent information (IE: I rob/kill an loot you I now know the location of your stash as well as any info you put on the map)

Ballistic Vest - What Should It Do?

Cause I'm a BEEEEAAAASSSSST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No really it's not luck if it was luck I'd find mags. Proof it's not luck last time I "opened" a door the server are my 75rnd Drum because It was full so I clearly wanted to reload. Lol

Ballistic Vest - What Should It Do?

Dude I find AKMs way more than I find the Mosin which is dumb as hell, they produced like 35 million if them most of which are still in thy region, finding a mosin should be as hard as turning left (for normal people not Zoolander) I do however think we need an updated spawn system for magazines! I've found butt loads of AKMs pistols and MP5Ks and 0 magazines, I don't cry about not finding speed/snap loaders or stripper clips cause I don't need that shit in my life, it doesn't reduce the number of rounds I can use to 1.

Ballistic Vest - What Should It Do?

Incorrect! (Kind of) I find the 10 round box magazine all the time everywhere not just in bases infact it it's the magazine I find the most. Normally only see a couple of the guns laying around though and I have once seen a 20 round box magazine in a police station we made me cry cause I thought it was the MP5K mag. Only one time ever though have a found a magazine and gun next to each other (engraved 1911 and mag) on the back tower of tent city NWAF! Probably only found them cause I ain't afraid of no ladder!
