[Be nice] How do you torture people in days?
Zombie Milkman replied to HeroAtDay BanditAtNight's topic in General Discussion
You get the ring for finding the irony. I thought was obvious, but apparently not to many. There is a much broader spectrum of acceptance for the other joys from the game that involve what would be anti social behavior, but many draw a line they won't cross on this particular topic. As I asked before, where is the fun in torturing someone in a game? I see much deflection in response to my question, and it looks like some posts got whacked between then and now likely with much indignation involved, which is ironic in itself. But my question remains and it is an honest question.Where is this fun I keep reading about in this topic? -
[Be nice] How do you torture people in days?
Zombie Milkman replied to HeroAtDay BanditAtNight's topic in General Discussion
About a year or two ago in Florida there was a Haitian immigrant mother and her son that experienced a home invasion from a gang of thugs. They raped the mom repeatedly, tortured both her and her son by pouring household chemicals in their eyes among beatings and whatnot, and crowned their "fun" by making the son sleep with his mom. I believe the thugs were armed and were probably prepared to kill both of their victims based on the level of violence they had visited on them all during the invasion. Now I get that many of you are taking the stance that torturing victims in DayZ is just role play. In your opinion, it is no different than Heath Ledger, a likely pacifist who wouldn't know a carbine from a long rifle in real life, playing the Joker, a mass murdering sociopath who delighted in torture and every other violent form of anti-social behavior. I get that, and I can see that line of thinking winning out in people who think they are 100% role playing. But the role itself does glorify the act, particularly when so many of you seem to defend it with the word "fun." I dunno how you can see it from that angle. The story above (real life, go google it up) and many many others doesn't hold any version of "fun" I find in this world, even if you filtered out the sexual assault angle. Somehow it does in yours? And if you boil it simply down to "just role playing bro, it ain't nothing" I would ask what are the odds you would role play the lead in Midnight Express, but in this game? Or play the part of Warren Beatty in Deliverance, but in this game? (squeel boy, squeel!) It would after all just be role playing. The answer is probably none of you because it would not be "fun." I know I wouldn't find it "fun," but I also don't find the idea of torturing someone digitally or otherwise "fun" either. Please explain what is so "fun" about torture. -

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
Zombie Milkman replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
Sure, and b.f.4 is working on it night and day too. That's why they have an epic level of cheats which they purge every 3 months... until the cheaters buy the game again and cheat... And get purged... And BUY the game against... And... Do you see the pattern? Follow the money and there is the real answer. -

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
Zombie Milkman replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
If there is no money to be made by mass selling cheats, few would have them. In the instance of the many cheaters who buy hacks made by a few brilliant people, they are the entire pudding of proof, and the people who get rich selling the hacks.... they vet my theory by their very existence. In most things in life not connected to charity, people do what they do to make money. Even in some charities (Easter Seals, I am waiving at you) people are only in it to make money. Sad? Yes, but it is the human condition. I never said there weren't good people in the world bro, and good people making money while being good. But this world... it revolves around its axis because of greed. And I am not judging, just stating what is. -

You missed the point. Completely. Like, it went right over your head and through the wall, blowing out your den and taking part of your neighbor's chimney with it. That IS my point boss. It is all made for money. What the heck is your point? I am in no way disparaging game devs for trying to die rich. What I am disparaging is the illusion that they give a **** about you are me. I get it, you get it, but many here do not as is so obvious from reading the forums. They seem genuinely upset that the people making these games consider the cheaters as equal customers. The reason for that is because no one has the cajones to stand up and call them out from within the industry. One day, someone will, just because humans are human and eventually someone goes against the grain just because they can. I am clearing mud away from my brother's eyes, bro. Seeing the truth is the only good in the world sometimes. -
Did i run into a hacker, or has the spawn chance for grenades increased dramatically?

I Can't Find Kindling (yes I cut the bushes down)
Zombie Milkman posted a topic in General Discussion
I just want to find out if this is a bug. I chop down bush after small tree after shrub. I find no kindling, no sticks.... Prior to three weeks ago this was not a problem, but lately... I try to chop down a tree.... 30 whacks plus... The tree still stands. So two issues really, but what a drag when I break something, run out of morphine, have rags, rope, etc.... I can't even make a splint, or an improvised backpack. What the heck? -

Is there any answer for two pc's with same IP can enter the same server?
Zombie Milkman replied to esteban1814's topic in Troubleshooting
Interesting. On the one hand you will lose connection a lot. On the other, latency like yours makes you much harder to kill. Dual IP address players with meg-latency.... needs fds? -
I suspect he ate a bad zuchini and was running towards the only outside toilet he could remember. At that point you could have had a SHOOT ME sign in ascii hanging around your neck and he wouldn't have seen you. Digitalrea. Gets em every time.

I hooked up a DayZ dev with a couger who will sleep with anyone. He promised me one of these in the next release: Where's my friend the pig? Time for a Hawaiian Luau. But seriously, I chop shrubs down left and right and I use inventory to find a stick... nothing. -
Zambies kill you even when they're dead.
Zombie Milkman replied to Ampharos's topic in General Discussion
No, it is because you suck at killing zombies. Not to fear though, I used to also. But then a wise old zombie killer told me the secret of killing zeds. Now if you get attacked by a pack of them, well, you are SOL son. Either run, shoot, & reload (this will bring more of them, FYI) or just run until they separate out some and you can try to kill them 1 by 1 in 5 second intervals. I did this with 7 of them. But that's not what you need to know right now, you just need to know how to kill 1 or 2. Hint #1: Get your axe out. There is no other weapon that works this well besides a gun. The rest of the farm implements are best left for farmers. Hint #2: Take off that auto-run. It makes you move TOO fast to do the next two hints correctly... Hint #3: Strafing while circling and keeping that dot on the zed. Hint #4: tighten the circle as quick as can be. It isn't 99% perfect, but my dead zombie to clothing ruining hit ratio improved dramatically by doing this. It works well on crazed bambi bandits as well, and they are plumb loco. -
what's your favorite backpack to use?

Hunter. I can look backwards while running away from beanzilla. -
I had a kid new spawn running around as I watched him from a roof top. I got too close to the edge... now he has mags, ammo, backpack, and full auto. Merry Christmas!

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
Zombie Milkman replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
Based on my experience it won't be dealt with. In b.f.4 the makers have periodic wipes instead of putting in things to prevent it in the first place because the first option allows them to collect multiple purchases from the cheaters. It makes perfect fiscal sense aka follow the money. These games are produced by businesses for the sole purpose of getting as much loot as possible, not for charity or our enjoyment. It sucks, but all these game makers want the cheaters to persist, and they do just enough to maintain the illusion of trying to stop the cheaters so the honest gamers like us keep coming back. One day a game developer will come clean about it, but Don't hold your breath. There is far too much money being made by the game devs across the board for someone to stand up and rat the community out. -

... Double post... -
This is the reason why the developers of this game need to tell us upon death why we died. Not WHO killed us, but WHAT killed us. And that my fellow posters is bloody easy to code & produce. It would also help us, to help them, fix this game by allowing us to provide more feedback on the product. If the STAIRS shot you, well hey, call me crazy, but that's a huge error in the game. All we know is "You are dead." For the bazillion dollars this game has raked in, they should at least help us with some code to help them. I do not know why this has not happened yet because it defies all financial logic, and is the cause of conspiracy talk that we all are pretty much tired of.

To all those complaining about not finding mags ..
Zombie Milkman replied to Oyface's topic in General Discussion
Not in my journeys. I have found everything BUT makarov and ak101 mags regularly. I have one and only one toon ever who found multiple Mak & AK101 mags, and only 3 weeks ago or less. I strongly suspect that: 1) loot spawn goes through phases and waves as the devs experiment. 2) servers are subject to different loot spawn algorithms It would explain why you find X, Y, & Z but not A, B, & C, but I have the polar opposite results. Why? Because ALPHA. That's why. ;) -

I don't actually see an argument. Differences of opinion are always a healthy thing. I am against legalizing anything else, so you could say we mostly agree. ;) -

Zombie Milkman replied to OptimumVision's topic in General Discussion
I don't smoke but I am all for legalization. It is silly that the number of smokers hasn't caused this to happen yet. Downsides? Sure, but unless one outlaws alcohol I tend to lean towards the concept that booze is worse given the number of aggressives I see who are drunk vs. typical stoners. The Puritans of society did try to outlaw booze but society at large eventually won the right to keep it. I suspect eventually this will happen with pot. It does cause psychotic issues with a select portion of the populace though and that does need to be pursued, and the higher concentration weed is a real issue, along with the synthetic crap (legalization should get rid of that though). I live in California which would become Mecca if it was legalized on a federal level, and want to know the most surprising group that RESISTS legalization here? It is not the police or other such groups, but the illegal growers themselves. Keeping it illegal helps them keep their profits up. Make it legal, and watch them go out of business. And just to throw this into the mix, everyone thinks of the typical (illegal) grower as a misplaced college student who weighs 89 lbs and wears glasses. Not true here in Cali, they are fairly scary militant types who kill or maim the more innocent members of society trying to hide their crops. Hiking in the green triangle for any reason (pleasure or work) is extremely dangerous. Legalize it and that aspect fades. -

Yup, this is the time to log in and get funky. If it moves, shoot it. See if you can shoot someone as you fall off the top of the tower or something fun.
