I have a decent spec PC, I expected the values to need adjusting like i said, also adapter=-1; is my second line. I don't think it matters, just so long as it works.

What error do you see when you get kicked ? It's most likely a simple fix or something you overlooked, It's not normal and shouldn't happen :) You might also filter servers for the key word Bambi, It's a term given to new players and some servers will cater for Bambis and help them get started.

Add it to favorites in DZC, It will save the IP and Port :) Then in DZC the correct servers will be listed.

The error message tells you the location :) C:\Users\user\Documents\Arma 2\Arma2OA.cfg So look inside my documents for a folder called Arma 2

Open the file up with any text editor and add the following as the 3rd line : 3D_Performance=1500000; Save and play :) It should work as that is directly from my Arma2OA.cfg file, the values might change per rig though so maybe some tweaking will help.

It's the server at fault, not you :) find another to play on. Having 2 computers using the same IP is fine, your character goes from your GUID and they will be different.

Your server is running server side mods/addons with keys, players then join with the same files and the keys match :) That is what verify signatures does. Without means they can run anything they want client side, welcome to a script kiddies field day, don't get rid unless you want to encourage scripters and grief your players.

Martin who created the map Taviana is now part of Gamers Platoon (Kingcunts group) and they refuse anyone permission to use the map, Hicks who released Taviana now can't release any new versions, Taviana is now stuck on version 2.0. There's a huge post over at opendayz.net about it and includes the false DMCA they sent to opendayz.net host threatening legal action, the host took it seriously and threatend to block opendayz.net as they tried to release a new taviana update, in the end Hicks gave up and is now part of the survivor games series. Sending false DMCA notices is also against the law, so not only are they money grabbing arseholes, they are also criminals.

Shouldn't it be "lead thief of community made mods and money whore" or "the man who killed of Taviana by blocking Hicks from releasing Taviana 3.0" ?

Only the server admin or host can restart the server :) The Dayz mod team have no part in how a server is ran. The lack of an active admin is usually the reason a server has a low player count.

Take a screen shot of the errors :) The errors give clues as to what is wrong, without seeing it then i've no idea how to help.

The beta-patch in DZC is called ArmA 2 and shown at the top of the install/update list. You should see your DZC version and under that is ArmA 2, latest is 103718 (stable), below that are all the mods You got the IP & Port of the Epoch server you're trying to join ? The latest Epoch is 1.0.2.3, there is no 2.0 or 1.2

Just lockdown client side scripting and make sure they can only run server side :) That way server admins have full control and skiddies can't run anything from their PC

The Dayz mod is version 1.8, check to make sure you have that. Once you do then you should see the servers showing in white in DZC, white means your version matches the servers, any other servers you will need to find out what they run and downgrade if needed. Also make sure your beta-patch is 103718 If none of that works then take a screen shot of the exact error and post it here, good luck :)

Dayz code is 1.8 and that is the latest, the only thing i can think of that is 2.0 would be Taviana. Where are you seeing you have 2.0 and what mod are you trying to play ?

80% of Dayz players use PSW, really ? :unsure: I'd say most players use DZC and that supports using all versions of Rmod. Most Rmod players know how to change launch parameters but it's a niche mod, there isn't enough support of it and not many players. Rmod only unlocks vehicles. Rmod 2.1 unlocks vehicles, weapons and skins

Dayz.st will support Rmod 2.1, have a look on the Dayz.st Forums Pretty sure you have to upload the files yourself but they do the keys and launch parameters for you, Nobody uses the old Rmod anymore and it's not that popular so limiting yourself to the old version because of your host will leave you with an empty server. Adding stuff works fine, I ran an Rmod 2.0 server many months back, there are some amazing vehicles and weapons in the ArmA series you can play with :) It doesn't have to be OP jets and tanks like people think. I wasn't suggesting your links were dodgy but with so many key stealers these days you can't be too careful, always safer using official sites and they don't cost anything or require registration to download.

There's a knockput script available but it's way OP, you can knock people out through solid walls or from the floor below.

Most Rmod players will be using the latest Rmod, It's version 2.1 and the official website is http://offgaming.us/rmod/download/ While i'm sure your links are fine, I'd rather grab from the official source :)

Anywhere but Chernarus :facepalm: I'm so sick of that map already, I've owned ArmA 2 for years and played long before Dayz came out.

Choice is good :) What you hate, another person loves. I don't like DayZero, you do though ... by your own logic there wouldn't be a DayZero without the modding community and lets not forget that Dayz is a mod of ArmA. Shit mods die and good mods are popular, without these new mods i doubt many would still be playing the original Dayz mod today.

If you see a row of tanks parked up then it's not loading the mods up, check your DZC settings, the launch parameters are messed up.
