Client files have to match the server files, you joined a server with an older version using your old version files, find a server running 1.8.0.2 if you want to use the latest updates. DZC can filter wrong versions so you only see compatible servers.

Bad CD Key was a know issue with an old beta-patch, you still need to do your beta-patch. If your says 1.62.94 then it's wrong cause the patch you want is 103718 so it should be 1.62.103somethingsomething All you need is This Beta-patch and you're good to go :)

Arma free is rather crap, It's designed so you can see what the game is about, It lacks texture and so many other details needed. There are thousands of servers online, where were you looking ? here is what i see at the minute : Dayz - 2011 servers Epoch - 2475 servers Overwatch - 415 servers Taviana - 138 servers There are also thousands of players online now. Have you seen what Josh has done to the DZC install.exe lately ? :o It tries to install toolbars, delta search and a whole load of other shite :( If you have the old install.exe then host it at dropbox and tell people to use that, new DZC is horrid, no doubt to earn money from each install. Try installing Geforce Experience, ArmA2/Operation Arrowhead is supported and let it use the recommended setting :) Mine was ok without it but wow, what a difference with it, better FPS and the game looked much prettier.

Go to the main menu screen rather than the server browser, basically load up Operation Arrowhead and take the screen shot. The main menu is the part that shows multi-player, profiles etc Don't give up :) I'll keep helping until it works

Load up the main screen and it shows you in the bottom right hand corner, it should show 1.62.103718 Take a screen shot if you would :)

Okay so now you install this beta-patch Once done launch ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead at least once, this updates BattlEye and will also show your version as 1.62.103718 in the bottom right hand corner. Then install Dayzcommander and install your mods, that should be you done and playing :) If not reply here.

You might have 1.62 installed but you're missing the data from 1.60, Install 1.60 and then reinstall 1.62 :) It's your choice but that's why it isn't working, take my advice or don't.

1.62 shouldn't of installed without having 1.60, It should of thrown up an error. Grab and install 1.60 and then do 1.62, any problems just reply.

To play Dayz you need ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead, when sold together they are called combined operations. You don't need any other DLC, although the BAF gives you better textures.

It's an easy fix when guided, I'm also a retail user and faced these issues :) You currently have the wrong version because your disk has no updates, Steam users get the updates from Steam, us retail users have to do it manually. Step 1 - Download and update to Version 1.60 by selecting any mirroe Here It's a pretty big download @ 700mb so could take some time depending on your internet connection. Once downloaded extract and install. Step 2 - Now you have version 1.60 you need another update to get you to version 1.62, again find a suitable mirror Here This is a very small update @ 52mb and then extract and install. Step 3 - Install the Beta-patch from Here but i advise you take 103718 as that's what most Dayz servers are using. That's it :D you're all up to date now, you can eaither launch manually, use play with six or what most people use, Dayz commander from http://www.dayzcommander.com/

There are thousands of players still active, too many servers but hey, each to their own :) When the SA comes out the mod will continue, hopefully moving on to ArmA 3. Also your one question is actully 2 :p but welcome to the Dayz mod forums.

Origins was designed solely to generate income for GP and Kingcunt :( they stole other peoples scripts and gave no credit. All other Dayz mods were designed to be given freely to the community, the mod devs get a little bit of fame and recognition. Where are the server files they promised to release ? you can't get them unless you pay them money to become an official partner. What about all the mass banning they've done ? so many legit players banned for nothing. Please don't see this as an attack on you De4dCert, it's not, but if you interview the devil it will recieve negative comments.
