Have you tried using Dayzcommander to download/update all your files and patch ? If it's your server make sure you are using the same beta-patch and mod files. I doubt your character is bugged if you can join other servers :) Most likely just different client files than the server files -

Try join other servers running the same version :) If you can't join any servers then the issue is your end, If you can join other servers but not your own then it's your server at fault. Once you know where the fault is you can move forward. Good luck -

No, Bliss is dead :( It's gone and been abandoned Thevisad has now decided to take over the old bliss builds and it's now called reality Did not work is not really an error :P If you want help you need to include details of what 'Did not work' Try using the Lite server install from Stapo :) Much easier and works See here for the Lite files > https://github.com/Stapo/Lite-DayZ-Private-Server

Running your own server is the way to go :) Not cheap but you get to do what you want, when you want. If you're looking for a managed host then i'd recommend dayz.st

Free to play, You try getting the server files to host an Origins server ... The .eu version isn't dying, They are now part of the Origins team. Taviana.com might die though :( Martin who made the Taviana map is now only allowing the Origins team to work with the map, That means Hicks who created the .com version can't use the new map fixes -

Origins was made to make the Origins team as much money as possible :( Every other map was released to the public, for the public, for free :) -

A standard wired xbox controller will work on Dayz :) Personally i prefer the KB & Mouse but have friends who use a controller and it suits them fine. If you do go down the controller route considor buying Pinnacle game profiler from http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/ My mates swear by it :)

Taviana.com V2.0 does not have a choice of spawn locations, It was the dayzland.eu V1.5 that has that option You can get all the client side files from Dayzcommander.com :) Install it and it will keep all the client side files and patch updated

Out of curiosity are you using Avira as your anti-virus ? This was a problem from a fortnight ago where Avira was blocking battleye, I don't use it as any anti-virus and have no idea when/if it was fixed. If you do use it then try disabling the real time scanning and try again.

There are 3 dayz versions running Taviana : dayzland.eu is version 1.5 - Now discontinued as they are part of Origins dayztaviana.com 2.0 - The best version :) Just a shame Martin (Taviana creator) has closed access to the map fixes because Origins is money oriented, Although there will still be a dayzaviana.com 3.0 release Origins - A great mod put together with stolen other peoples code, These guys are purely in it for the money :(

I get that from time to time, Sitting in the lobby for a few minutes usually solves it but not always, I've just guessed that BE can't handle all the update requests it's getting so it times out. Keep sitting in the lobby and if it fails drop back and try again :) It's annoying when it fails but be patient and it does eventully work *EDIT* Your screen shot shows the update worked

One of my servers is with Dayz.st and you can use Dart, Gotcha or TSW anti-hack :) Maybe even more but i've not tested any others. Dayz.st are also far better than most other hosts (I won't name/shame them) -

Server admins can teleport people without cheating :P Teleporting people is actully a feature in TSW anti-hack but there are other ways -

There won't be any more real Taviana updates, some bug fixes will come but that's it :( Martin the creator of the Taviana map has sold out, He's now part of Dayz Origins and won't allow Hicks (Taviana.com) to use the new changes, the guys from dayzland.eu are now also part of Dayz Origins Dayz Origins is now all about money :( I wouldn't say terrible, they're just not very good, they are cheap though so you get what you pay for -

Gotcha is a load of crap, I've seen it ban people when they were flying planes. I've now disabled Gotchas teleport detection, I only use it for scheduled messages as that's all it's good for -

I have typos when trying to type and survive, don't want to appear ignorant so i type quickly when i get a chance. The O is very close to the I on a keyboard ... maybe they missed the key or what creep says -
No you can play as much as you want :) Whitelisting is just to show you'll put the effort into joining a server to play, scripters won't bother and just pick on any populated open server

Technically it's scripting not hacking, but yes it happens far too much on open servers :( Some servers force people to be whitelisted by a forum or other process and that helps, It stops the script kiddies getting on the server or at least makes them require effort to do it Usually servers get visited by scripters when the server is busy, no point in scripting when there are only a few playing, maximum lulz is when it's full

Hi Stapo, I'm really enjoying Dayz+ but can't get a few things working on my spare server, any chance you could point me in the direction for the following : * Enable side chat * Enable crosshairs * Enable kill messages with/without distance I'm using the dayz + lite files from here > https://github.com/Stapo/DayZ-Private-Server-Lite-Plus I found this for kill messages but not sure if i can use it > https://github.com/Stapo/DayZ-Private-Server-Lite-Kill-Messages/blob/master/Chernarus/dayz_server.pbo
