Use Reality :) It's very simple to setup > https://github.com/thevisad/DayZ-Private-master Glovine won't help you, you have an unmanaged dedicated server, you can't expect them to be experts on every possible server application and offer support.

Why rent a server you can't manage ? It's no wonder private hives get a bad name when any idiot with some pocket money can host one. I suggest you close the server and donate the money to charity :) There are already too many empty servers so do some good with your cash instead.

I don't see why it should remain PC only, servers wouldn't mix so if you think you're better than a console player, be happy you won't ever meet them in game :) Xbox sales would bring a good income for the Dayz/BIS team so that will benefit all platforms, more money = better development :D The only snag is Microsux and also Sony have limits of what games can do, most have low player counts because of bandwidth rules, not hardware limitations.

Spawn with a DMR ? :lol: so what's the point in looking for loot when you start with the best gear ? TMW Se7eN is correct, you should be playing ArmA not a survival game. -

Might as well give up on any server running the CBL, The stupid useless vigilante list was abandoned with all bans left permanent. The CBL has done more harm than any scripter ever did to you :( scripts were gone if you left the server or the server was reset, CBL does permanent damage. -

99% hacker free each month still leaves a possible 8 hours of script attacks :P That 1% adds up to 96 hours per year -

It could also be forced so that players have no control, anythings possible :) Travelling back n forth to ferry people around, you would be vunerable while waiting at the train station but that's the risk of travelling faster than on foot. -

It's very easy to make a vehicle invincible :) anyone dumb enough to try and derail it would fail, train carries on as normal -
I think the SA should go with the standard Arma hosting, let the community do the hosting :) It's what most people want and will save BIS money on hardware/bandwidth costs. Places like Europe and the US have cheap prices for servers but what about Australia and other expensive countries for hosting ? It will drive the price of the game up or they don't sell it over there. It'll be intresting to see what happens, If people are paying money for a multi-player only game there will have to be a load of servers to cope with demand and all in the right countries for latency.

What underground bases ? The ArmA engine doesn't do underground well, that is why there are none now. -
If an admin can't read the logs properly then he shouldn't run a server :) It's better you found out after 10 minutes then next week once you have a vehicle and setup camp. Find another and make home there, look through the private server lists and choose what suits your style, so many addons and mods that cater for everyone.

Possible and already been done for ArmA 2 :) I'm amazed nobody ever ported it to Dayz, Chernarus has some good train lines but Taviana has miles and miles of track. Source > http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9529 -
I thought launch parameters were no longer useful ? one of the earlier beta-patches done away with it all, things like -max_memory and cpu_cores etc

Add the @rMod folder using FTP Modify the server .pbo and inside the mission.sqm add "rmod" in the list of addons Modify your launch parameters to include @rmod21 Send the server key to [email protected] and tell them you need it added to your keys directory to run rMod2.1 It's pretty simple really :) The hardest part is getting the dayz.st staff to reply to your request -
It's tied to your CD key :) If it was by IP then i'd be banned, I have about 6 i use depending on where i'm visting.

Does it matter ? we'll all be buying it regardless :) Even at £40 i don't mind, how much fun have we all had playing a free mod ? I hope it makes a lot of profit, BIS are a company that are worth supporting and Mr Hall and co should get well rewarded for the time and effort spent on the mod. -

Now you know where all the keys go that get stolen :( sold for next to nothing to be used and abused again. It's peoples own fault when they get stolen, they either want the scripts and get caught using them or they're dumb and think some magic .exe will make the game run better :lol: Ignorance is not an excuse, all the ones that come begging for help have only registerd after getting into trouble, join before and you get a heads up and almost all questions answered by the community :)
