    ST HUD is exellent in ArmA 3 :D It's so handy to identify your team mates, be good in Dayz but there is no squad as such, I can't see how it would work. *EDIT* The server would have to run it and have the key installed, otherwise you would be kicked for using unsigned addons. You won't get a ban though :)

    There is already a thread about this somewhere, basically the companies were asked but didn't want associated with an end of the world zombie game, they all want to maintain a family brand.

    Database needs updated and so will your BE filters, It isn't as simple as just dropping in the new Dayz files. What setup are you using ? I can help with Reality

    With only 20 (Mbit ?) up i would start with 10 slots, you could go with 20 but if they fill up you probably will see red/yellow desync chains. Try it and see how you go :)

    Start with 20 slots and work up until you know the limit, are you hosting from home or a real server in a datacenter ? What speed is the port connection, you'll get a better idea of what the server can handle :)

    Ok so you've verified the game integrity ? Did you launch OA before trying Dayz ? Remove the @Dayz mod from your OA directory and try launching - Dayz sometimes interferes with OA

    The more players the more bandwidth used, for a 40 slot server i would guess around 1.5-2TB would be enough if it was full 24/7. ArmA is very heavy on CPU so the more cores and higher frequency the better. RAM isn't too important and 2-4 GB will be fine. Video card isn't needed or a sound card. Supported operating systems are Windows 7 or Server 2008. That will cover the bare basics, adding scripts or extra mods such as AI/NPC will eat your CPU processes and anything else you add.

    Yes I'm saying ditch the CBL :) It doesn't work, it never did and was abandoned, i also never said it was your fault but it is blocking innocent people and in my view that isn't acceptable. Hundreds of people have paid good money for a game they can't use cause of some piss poor judgement by a vigilante team. The scipters can buy a new key for less than $1, they won't quit because you have one of many old keys blocked, your CBL isn't updated so you fail to catch scripters but keep legit players trapped.

    Steam or retail ? if steam try verifying the integrity cache, if retail have you installed the 1.62 game update ? Right mouse click on the game > select properties > local files > verify integrity cache Hopefully it's a corrupt file and steam will replace :) If retail then uninstall and reinstall

The system your server runs :rolleyes: I bet you would feel different if you or a friend were wrongly banned.

    You don't have to add OP weapons/vehicles :P ArmA has some exellent vehicles and weapons, balance is the key. It's also very simple to setup, add 'rmod' in the addons list in your mission.sqm, change your launch parameters and make sure the @rmod addon is in your root directory.

    You mention rMod ? are you trying to join a server running rMod without have the addon ?

    You add them using rMod 2.1 :) You can have any weapon or vehicle from the ArmA series.

    It's because any idiot can rent a server, they have no idea what it takes to run one properly :( It's the admins job to keep filters updated as the Dayz versions change. Find a well run server and problem solved :)

    You clicked it and that was all that was needed :( It stole your key and then a scripter used it on another PC and got it banned for life. Your only option is to make sure it really is gone, then buy a new key and start again.

    Incase you honestly don't get it then read How UK ISPs are charged for broadband - the cost of IPStream I'm not guessing, there are costs and they are huge when you factor everything in that it costs to get the bandwidth from point A to point B. Unless you think the internet backbone magically runs on its own, tech people work for free, laying expensive cables under the sea to provide more capacity as data use increases, paying for the hardware, paying people to write software so the hardware runs, power running the servers and data centers and substations etc etc

    Read the stickies in the ban appeal section, example > http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10011-do-not-post-your-global-ban-appeals/ If you didn't hack then someone stole your key and now it's banned for life, try appealing with battleye but if they have proof you or your key hacked you're toast. You key is yours to look after, key stealers are common and usually downloaded by wanting better FPS or some sort of performance boost.

    Glad to help :) Try using Dayzcommander, It will keep all your Dayz mods updated and the beta-patches, you can download it from http://www.dayzcommander.com/ Use playwithsix for anything else ArmA related, or there is an ArmA launcher

    Show script errors :) How are you starting/launching the game ? looks like somewhere in the launching is enabling the showing or errors.

    Traffic costs the ISPs fortunes :P why do you think bandwidth is so expensive ? If this ISP is charging more for external traffic it is down the their peering and transit agreements. Maybe next time look up your answers before guessing :)

    Set your max ping to 50 would help but not an ideal solution, you'll need to set the rules on your server. Try this link Block Visitors by Country or contact your hosting provider, any decent company will help but possibly charge.
