That is another option yes, do what is easier and quicker, there's no wrong way :) Some formats and dynamic images will be banned for security reasons, no reason why common formats such as .png .jpg .jpeg or .gif should be banned, admins will know what's banned in ACP

Free version has shitier graphics but you get a chance to play it.

Yes you can mix and match them :) If you use Dayz commander just manually set the paths. ArmA 2 would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead

We have them in traders and as side mission rewards, also as the server is brand new we've made building supplies cheap at the traders, build an epic base for next to nothing :) Server info : Dayz Epoch 1.0.2.5 with Taviana 2.0 - launch using -mod=@Taviana

You can find the game updates here > http://www.arma2.com/supply/game-updates You'll want : ArmA 2 1.11 ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead 1.60 ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead 1.62 ArmA 2 OA Beta-pathch 103718 Install them all in that order, then launch both games ones to setup BattlEye, then use Dayz Commander (optional) to install any/all Dayz mods, it also keeps them updated. -

Steam or retail ? Have you launched both games at least once ? Also make sure you've installed this Beta patch -
How do I play Day Z Epoch on Panthera map?

The beta-patches can be found Here if you want to do it manually. Most servers follow DZC for beta-patches and they're using 103718 Just download, run the .exe and you should be good to go :) If not just reply.

If it's showing the his version as red then he hasn't got an updated version of ArmA 2 OA :) My money says he's retail as Steam will update automatically, unless he blocked or interrupted the download.

Most Taviana hosts that i know have switched to using Epoch Taviana, It still uses 2.0 but with the extra and optional features of Epoch :) Treat it like Epoch or Taviana, It has the best of both worlds. If you're looking to try one such server then i play on 62.210.189.168:2362 You'll need the latest Epoch files and Taviana 2.0 then in your launch parameters add -mod=@Taviana -

DayZ Updates and patches not working.

You need to update to 1.60 before you update to 1.62, follow these steps : Step 1 Install 1.60 Sep 2 Install 1.62 Step 3 Install Beta-pach 103718 That's it :) -
Toshiba c660-1HUE for DayZ is enough?

CPU will struggle but you could get 20+ FPS but intergrated graphics card could stop you, depends on what card is intergrated. RAM is also an issue, 3 GB DDR2 would be hard to play but if it's DDR3 it could be ok. Try downloading ArmA 2 Free and see how it runs :) -
Quite a few forum members in the video, still looks a long way from being released though :(

There can't be an Epoch or Origins standalone, they would need to license an engine and write it from scrach, why do you think the Dayz SA has taking so long ? AMD/Nvidia display drivers crash work around (Your own risk)

I had similer issues with my PC shutting down, It was caused by the PSU not being good enough, the crash was recorded as a driver crash under "dxgkrnl.sys" Try reading your BSOD crash reports using Blue Screen View and see if yours is the same. ] -
