If the email is coming from [email protected] then you're safe :) I would of also thought you could download ArmA 2 free and then upgrade with your key ? :huh: Not 100% sure but i don't see why not -

You have to revert to the default .pbo and then modify it again, no other way. -
No message recieved means your connection to the server dropped or the server restarted, It mean exactly what it says, no message recieved when communicating with the server. Usually you get a warning message 'Player X is losing connection' followed by 'Player X was kicked, BattlEye not responding'

Steam or retail ? If retail make sure you update the game using this update I have ArmA X and includes all DLC, It isn't the DLC stopping you. -

The auto refuel script is for vehicles near a petrol station, drive in or land on the roof and select refuel. Jerry cans can only be filled by going to the brown or white petrol tanks (Varies depending on the mod) and scroll the wheel until you see fill jerry can, you can't fill a jerry can in a petrol station. The different types of petrol tanks for jerry cans are shown below -
Hacking requires skill :) Any knob head can run a script or buy one.

There never was any real hackers, just script kiddies as ArmA was designed to be easily modded and hundreds of scripts were wrote. The SA release is all done server side, it will stop client side scripts :)

This isn't new unfortunately :( It was used to attack dayz.st servers many months back, they have now fixed it. Vilayer should really of patched this BEFORE it was being used to attack their customers. -
When it's in its Alpha stage it will be cheap, as the game develops the price increases so the Beta will cost more than the Alpha but still be cheaper than the full release. That is how ArmA 3 is done so i presume Dayz SA will be the same :) No matter what version you buy it in, you will still have the full game.

Hirens boot CD will have all the tools you need to test your HDD, just be really really really careful when using it, it's very powerful and can do serious damage to hardware when used wrong. Good luck :)

Not everyone likes the new patch (1.7.7) so they will stick to a patch they do like. Gives the people who don't like the patch a chance to play :)

If you're in the UK or EU then i recommend 23.29.117.178:2352 It's not my server but we've been on it the last week and it's decent :) Plenty players including multiple clans, the only downside is it has base building and people have them all over, possibly a good thing though depending on how you look at it. -
They all use stolen code :P so technically none are official

You missed an important step :P You must launch ArmA 2 and OA BEFORE you can play Dayz. It will also install BattlEye then. For retail the steps are the same but you have to manually install the 1.62 game update.

You could always setup your own server :P If you don't like how things are now, make your own, with your rules and your settings. That's the beauty of ArmA :D change everything .... -
