Actully they didn't/couldn't copyright it, I did belive they had as well, they ARE sending out fake DMCA notices that can be ignored :) Sending out fake DMCA notices is actully a criminal offence, anyone who gets one should report them. Bohemia Interactive now own the copyright for Dayz, hopefully BIS will sue their arses for making money from their intellectual property without permission, releasing a mod free is fine but for commercial purposes goes against the EULA.

Ok then, follow these steps in this order, ignore if you've already done them. 1 - Install ArmA 2 2 - Install Operation Arrowhead 3 - Install the game update from Here 4 - Run ArmA 2 once to install BattlEye 5 - Run Operation Arrowhead once to install BattlEye 6 - Copy the Addons folder from the ArmA 2 directory to the Operation Arrowhead directory (It's about 8GB) 7 - Install Dayz Commander but watch out as the page is riddled with adverts, use This Direct Link if you're unsure. 8 - Start Dayz Commander and then click install/updates 9 - Install the ArmA update (It's what's known as the beta-patch) and Dayz mod, all the rest are optional mods 10 - That's it all done :D One thing i did notice is you're playing on an rMod server ? to get that working download the mod (latest is rMod 2.1) and extract it to your Operation Arrowhead directory You should then have a new folder called @rMod2.1 (or similer), to launch it go to Day commander and choose the 'Settings' tab and add the following text Make sure the name is correct, if the rMod folder is called just rMod then launch with -mod=@rMod :) You shouldn't have any issues now, let me know how you get on and good luck.

Origins is Dayz + Taviana + lots of community made addons used without permission and credits to make profit for the the GP team and Kingcunt.

They have to restart frequently, ArmA isn't the best for performance and it was never designed for the Dayz mod. Without the restarts it would be laggggy as hell.

Everyone shoots on sight, the trick is to shoot them first :P It never used to be like this, one time you would spawn with a makarov .... yeah i've been playing for a long long time :)

It should in the bottom right hand corner show Version: 1.62.xxxxxx The numbers replaced with xxxxx are the beta-patch, It's the 1.62 i suspect you don't have. What does yours show ?

The error messages are not Dayz related, what version of the game are you running ? Load up Operation Arrowhead and take a screen shot of the version number shown in the botton right hand corner, I suspect that is the issue :)

Your Beta-Patch is pretty old, most likely the cause. You're using 95248 and the latest is 106400, If i was a betting man i'd say that is your issue, update it and find out :)

Only one of your images work. Is he steam or retail ?

It means your version of Dayz is different to the servers version. If you have 1.7.7 but the server is using 1.7.7.1 then they don't match up. Use Dayz commander and it keeps everything up to date and also shows wrong versions as grey, white means they match and you can play.

You can manually change it if it doesn't find it, go into DZC settings and override the path to the OA.exe You can click the game and select properties, then verify the game cache, any missing files will be downloaded. Depending on what AV/Firewall you use, you can add an exception so it allows the ArmA/Steam files to work.

Use Dayz commander and that will install the Dayz mod and the beta-patches and keep them all updated :)

You most likely hit an advert, the DZC page is full of adverts saying download :( pretty shitty but i guess Josh has to earn somehow. If you want a direct link then press This or use an ad blocker in your browser.

Uninstall everything and start again :) Install both games, then the 1.62 patch and then launch both games once, after that install DZC

Now you know what grey means and the key error, glad you got it sorted in the end :)

Ok so you will need the ArmA 2 1.62 update installed, Steam users get the updates via steam. Once you have that installed then start both games once, this will install BattlEye. After that install Dayz commander and this will install and setup all mods, beta-patches and all future updates. You should then be good to go :) Any problems just reply

Overclocking can make the hardware unstable, your issues suggest your PC is unstable :P see the connection ? Put them back to the defaults and try again, steam, ArmA and Planetside are not the cause :) I have all of them without any issues.
