Try the server in my sig if you want a challenge :) It's Taviana and a private hive, always full with a good balance of Heros and Bandits, 450 vehicles and it has 3 custom compounds, the compounds have barracks in for decent weapons and also supermarkets, hospitals and industrial buildings. It's a challange to survive there for more than a day.

There is no bug that randomly bans people, If it's only 1 server then your friend is on that servers bans.txt Ask the server what admin tools he uses, Dart can ban by IP & GUID so maybe it's his IP that's banned. If the server admin can't admin his server then perhaps finding a better one is the solution, It's not rocket science to maintain one :)

Find a helpful server admin :) they have RPT logs that will log what happened and why. Fraggle might know some.

Rocket is a fan of modding, If there was no modding there would be no SA :) Once the ArmA 2 mod dies off i really hope that R4Z0R carries on, he's already registered the Survival domain :D with all his knowledge and experience he could make a top quality mod, hopefully for ArmA 3 though.

You have a different version to the version the server is running, use Dayz Commander White servers mean you have the same version, grey means you have a different version but DZC will allow you to roll back at any time :)

I gave them apaches cause i once read that AI can't see left/right properly, hueys have side gunners so they were pretty useless, apache has a front gunner and they were nasty :lol: But they are pretty thick and commited suicde a lot, ArmA 3 AI are a lot better and even more so when used with extra scripts, fingers crossed we get some top quality missions when the game hits RC. You shouldn't ever remove that line, add new rules but not remove, you've left the server vunerable to scripters now :( Vehicles must have a database entry, it records the damage, inventory and most importantly the coordinates, you can't get away with adding banned vehicles this way as the ban list of vehicles are client side. Dayz.st does allow you to add many extra vehicles that other hosts can't, there was once a list on opendayz.net listing them all if you search.

Are you adding the vehicles via the editor ? that is why they blow up, you must add them through the database. Did you change their skill setting Applejaxc ? on our old server (no longer running) we had Rmod and upped their skill and gave them an apache :o they were shit hot and great fun The file you refer to is called server_cleanup.fsm :)

I'd join your server but it's going to be a complete lag fest :( Your server has 20 others games running, everyone of them also has extra scripts. AI/NPC cause the most lag and someone else on that server has them and now you're adding them. Sorry buddy but i can't play laggy servers, I usually avoid the dayz.st servers for that reason :(

But then he loses that satisfaction of fixing it :( Hopefully he's having a day off and i'll keep an eye on this thread :)

Cheers Fraggle :) Any missing or corrupted files i can send from my installation, you never appreciate Steam until you get corrupted files and rely on verifying the integrity.

It could be left over files from the previous installation ? when you uninstall them look in your program files folder and delete the behemia interactive folder if there is one left. Persevere with this and we will get there :) fingers crossed it happens soon, I have to pop out soon and need to eat and shower beforehand.

Yes, installing ArmA 2 will create the bohemia interactive directory, installing OA will also create one, that is how you get 2, manually editing when installing removes the 2nd It won't matter what order you run them, you have to launch at least once to install BattlEye Then update OA using the link i sent you in an earlier reply. Check that Dayz Commander is locating the files correctly. IN DZC press 'settings' and the paths should look like my image below :

Yes, It sounds like you understand what i mean :) Just delete the /bohemia interactive, you can change the path so it goes to the same directory as ArmA 2 but it will still add the 2nd bohemia interactive by default, you delete that part and it won't add the extra directory. Does that make sense ? I'll try to reword it if it's confusing.

Steam or retail ?

I went through it myself at the start, It makes you pull your hair out wondering why it won't work. Only does it from what i've seen with ArmA X versions, seperately is fine.

This was what i was trying to tell you :) your path is messed up cause your Operation Arrowhead now goes Program files > bohemia interactive > bohemia interactive > operation arrowhead. Uninstall everything again, then install ArmA 2 and then when you install Operation Arrowhead you get the choice where to install it, manually delete the part that has bohemia interactive. It will then install correctly and not make a 2nd bohemia interactive folder, after install it will look like my screen shot above. Then launch both games to install BattlEye and then install the 1.62 OA Update Then install Dayz Commander and install your mods and beta-patch. Job done :)

You have to change it manually, honestly i had this same problem. Does your Bohemia Interactive folder look like my image below, or do you have another Bohemia Interactive folder inside the Bohemia Interactive folder ?

You don't get BAF & PMC installers, they are included on the Operation Arrowhead disc. You only have to install the 2 discs, just make sure to change the default path when installing Operation Arrowhead.

Once you have Operation Arrowhead installed you will need This Update That update is for disk versions only, Steams users get theirs direct from Steam.

I have ArmA X and had the same issue, the problem is Operation Arrowhead creates a new directory. Uninstall everything and then install ArmA, after that when you install Operation Arrowhead change the install directory to the same as ArmA. Check what i mean by looking and you will see you have 2 bohemia interactive folders. Any more help just reply :)

I've got ArmA 2 and ArmA 3, the inventory system is horrid so fingers crossed the SA Dev team can do something. It's so fiddley and takes ages to sort stuff, great for ArmA but horrible for Day SA when you're being chased by hordes of nasties who want to eat you.
