Looks very much like Lingor, I liked Lingor :D I'll check it out later *EDIT* After viewing the video this looks like it is actully Lingor, Is this really a new map or someone trying to claim it's a new map when it's really Lingor ? *EDIT 2* Downloaded the files and it is indeed Lingor Island, this new island is not new at all. Why not mention this Kilo88 ? you misled me to belive it was a brand new island, it's just a reskin of Lingor :( and nowhere on your website or this page do you give props to Icebreakr for designing the island.

Yeah there's a few on the mountains where they belong, the one in Sabina is odd cause there is no snow near it.

It won't install the whole game again unless it's all corrupt, very unlikely. All it does it check the files are correct and replaces any that were damaged during downloading through packet loss etc Once you know that the ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead files are ok you can follow the install guide from the Dayz wiki, here is the link to How to install Dayz

Yep :) also found the snowmen in Sabaina. Most maps have easter eggs, there was a post here a while back with a list of them.

The SA has already been confirmed as going the same route, It'll be released in an Alpha stage at a reduced price, then Beta with a price increase and then full RC at retail value. It's exactly how the ArmA series is released :)

None of the ArmA series has pre-orders available, I can't see the SA being different. When it comes out, people will buy it regardless.

Right mouse click on both games in Steam, select properties and then local files, you will then see the option to 'Verify the integrity of game cache' :) select that on both games and it will download/fix any missing or corrupt files.

The logo can't be .png, it must be .paa Open it with GIMP and save as file_name.paa See the Squad.xml Wiki Page for more info.

If the SA runs on Linux servers then we'll see better performance, Windows licenses are just far too much money so server spec suffers :( Linux OS will mean all money goes towards better machines. Also, you don't need a server in the UK, anywhere in Europe will give good latency, France (OVH), Germany (Hetzner) or the Netherlands (Leaseweb).

Go in your Steam libary and right mouse click on each game, select properties and local files then 'Verify integrity of game cache' It might just be someone as simple as a corrupt files, Steam will fix that :) If not then perhaps your PC can't handle the game, post your specs.

Exactly right, I got bored of Chernarus and moved to Lingor, that was when there were only 2 choices, Chernarus or Lingor, Now i'll only play Taviana despite it's faults. The different mods are like Ice cream :) everyone has their own favorite flavours. The community isn't really divided, you just have your chocholate lovers, strawberry lovers and vanilla lovers playing the same thing but to their own tastes, Dayz Redux can be coffee flavour cause nobody really likes it, yet it's still available :lol:

It's more 2.5, It uses the TOH engine, so it's after ArmA 2 but before ArmA 3

I have the Q8200 @ 2.33 GHz :( I can play both games but with crap FPS I'm upgrading mine next month :D

Try looking on Can I Run It ? and search for ArmA 2 or Operation Arrowhead. If you can play them, you can play the Dayz mod

Your connection is decent, a lot better than mine, it won't cause lag if you choose a server with a decent ping :) Your CPU is quite poor, that will cause low FPS, You'll get between 20-25 FPS because ArmA is heavy on the CPU more than GPU.

Try restarting Steam, if that doesn't work try contacting them. If one of more files is corrupt or damaged it will stop the game working.

There's your problem then, does it say what file ? Steam should automatically fix it but you could try deleting it and Steam will redownload.

Steam or retail ? If Steam then verify the integrity of game cache, right click on the game and then select properties > local files If retail try a reinstall

The screen shot doesn't show anything helpful. Try the following : 1 - In steam right click on ArmA 2 and select properties, then local files and then click 'verify integrity of game cache ...' 2 - Do the same for Operation Arrowhead 3 - Launch both games once, this will ensure that BattlEye is installed and updated 4 - Download and install Dayz Commander or use this Direct installer link 5 - In DZC (Dayz Commander) press the install/update button and download the ArmA2 update, latest version is 103718 6 - Then download the Dayz mod 7 - Find a Dayz server and join, you shouldn't have any issues :) 8 - Download other mods, this is optional of course but most are well worth a look Any problems just reply, good luck.

Steam or retail ? If steam you can verify the interity of the game cache, in other words it downloads and replaces faulty/missing files. If retail then you might need to reinstall. Are you sure it's not a mod error though ? take a screen shot of the error message for better help :)
