    Yup, dangerous indeed. Rarely take the risk anymore, don't much like the vulnerability factor in water or vehicles for that matter. Though we've had some great fights at that prison. I've definitely learned that without a grenade it can prove difficult to penetrate. I wonder if a paint can + fireplace kit (.55) could do the trick as well. Might have to visit now and find out.
  2. Figured it out, definitely would love a DaRT update/implementation. Also different color text for different log info would be a huge help. Ex. Blue login and logout. Green disconnected/dropped. Yellow for kills and red for errors. Maybe just for the timestamps.

    SERVER ADMIN RULES *PLEASE RESPOND*

    A really good question and rather important topic overall. Sadly I do believe this to be a against the rules. Trouble here is even though your pay for the server you don't actually own it. It's the same with banning or kicking confirmed hackers/scripters. Admins flatout lack the necessary tools to prevent/police their own servers. Private shards are the only answer at this point. Problem with that is, a clan servers like yours (I dig it btw, good job) and mine thrive on clan members and non clan members alike. Its gotta be connected to a hive. I mean what's the point of having a clan if not to go against other players or better yet other clans. It actually gives me an idea. Would it be possible for clans to share child shards with other clans? I assume as long as the parent is locked down the others can come and go, but would a server provider make this easy or difficult? I think my clanmates would jump on the opportunity if clans handled their own accounts/payments, but again I dunno if a provider would support that. Might have to have a chat with you =BOM= folks because that could be rather awesome.

    No RCon Support anymore?

    Ok wtf is up with this? I've read through and still don't understand why RCon would be taken away, unless the goal is to grief players and admins alike. Am I missing something? I've recently been given access to a few servers as an Admin and I'm beginning to think it's because others didn't want to be bothered with policing a server without necessary tools. When I was just a player on these servers we'd report if someone was hacking and then it would be confirmed by what I'm assuming to have been this RCon. Now when people come to me with reports of hackers I need certain info in order to actually kick/ban the right player. Taking a tool away that helps identify a problem or single out those who are the problem only helps those who are in fact breaking the rules. What the hell are people smoking?! Those who abuse admin power can still kick/ban those who join their servers. Why or how? Because they see who's joined and it's not their butt buddy so they just kick/ban. A hacker/scripter loves this shit because they go for high pops and they can get away with it too, because admins lack the tools necessary to identify them out of the 40 or so other players. I just don't get it. If I'm indeed missing something please educate me, I'd honestly appreciate it. Also (what brought me here in the first place) does anyone know of a name proxy hack/script? I was given confirmation that an asshole deserves a ban, but I am new to the whole process so I had to learn the commands and log on to the full pop server. Once I did it restarted/crashed and the perp was gone. "If he joins again I'll get him", I thought, but we do have a few servers. So I check the others and notice a player with the exact same last 4 digits in his name (being #'s and symbols) I know it's likely to be him, but can't/won't ban for that. If there's some kinda name scramble tool out there I would, but I have yet to find any info on its existence.

    How Clothing Protects A Player in DayZ

    All that is indeed epic info, but I'm thinking/hoping it's all regarding shock damage. Main concern in my book 9/10 is blood and health damage. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was led to believe shock dmg is flat and guaranteed based off of the weapon, but the blood loss/damage varies. Shock damage may go straight to your health, but does having more items reduce the blood related variables in anyway? Is having no items in an article of clothing really better if it's a high risk location (legs, chest)? For instance does having items reduce or increase the possibility of receiving a fracture or broken limb? Does the quality of the items within said storage change the results? This knowledge has hurt and made me ashamed of my past regarding my gear choices and looting up in general. I wouldn't consider myself a loot goblin by any means. I tend to rock the leather bag the boar courier (prob still will) to reduce my silhouette, sharing similar priorities as Tatanko. This info hurts most because I've always been one to fill my vest with things like ballistic helmets/books for "extra" protection... Little did I know! Thanks Wobo or Aggathor, keep up the good work!

    R.I.P. Character (wiped by server)

    Yea, I know the feels and alpha or not it still hurts. Since it happened to a few friends and I (mine was several weeks old and had the most glorious M4, built using the remains of hackers/duppers), we developed a way to combat this character wipe bug. Treat it like you did the crash bug, when ever disconnecting from a server, close the game. Reopen and join your desired server. Rinse and repeat. I have yet to experience a wipe since implementing these steps. Hope that helps and good luck.

    Ok, so I've heard a theory regarding why people are having a hard time finding these mythical heli crash sites. Apparently its conflicting with random police car spawns. http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/29pa7s/helicopter_crash_sites_not_spawning_on_stable/cinkgrs If the theory is indeed correct, the problem is: Both heli crash and police cars have limited # of spawns, but that # changes depending on the others spawn #. So if 0-3 helis spawn each restart and a higher number of police cars spawn each time it (like 0-12) the probability of police cars scoring a higher spawn # is more likely and is reducing the Heli spawn to 0. At least thats what I've gathered.. Still no confirmation or other info that i've come across. Please fix soon!

    Hey Odin Lowe, when did ya find this crash site? Are they working in the current Stable build? Running low on ammo and all but one of my mags are ruined! Been to all the locations in the NW. All around Stary to Vybor and up around the NWAF and devils. No dice.. Asked around and I'm hearing crash sites are bugged...
