A horse don't need fuel or to be repair, compare to a car yes it is more fragile, less faster and offer poor protection and can require some particular care. But at least you just need to lets him drink water from pond, Human organism can't support it without water purification anyway, and you will not dispute for which one will get food since a horse just need grass, it offer a heavier carry capacity than human, he can do things that car can't do, a horse can walk on a forest, a car...Not really, a forest is really a badly terrain for a car and you can easily end up broking your car doing this, a horse can even run in a forest, and can swim ! & Cars on water end up always the same way...Wasted ! And if you have absolutely no choice, even if its cruel, you can kill him to having foods, have you recently try to eat a car ? And Horse can be found on the nature, i highly doubt that all car left will still work after all the time, or that car will start reproduce themselves... Finding a working car will probably be difficult, and at least on a horse, no one can hide on the back seat or on the trunk...

Ok, give me the link of this game. You know what is the problem with our world ? One of the issue on computer world is that most of the time someone do something, it doing it wrong or in a really bad way, and everyone copy him cause he was the first (which don't mean THE example, the best or anything) because yes, when an idea work, people are too lazy to find an alternative, they just follow EXACTLY the same path and say, if it work for him, it will work for me. And sadly rather than making a SP + MP zombie game, devs have choose only for personal reasons. Also, when someone do something, a lot of people that could have done way better don't do it, they don't want to waste their time doing again what someone already do, and they don't even take their time to check if it is already correctly done or not, result ? When someone do a bad thing, most of the time, it stay behind the only alternative cause rather than just talk about this idea and lets someone who have real capacity to CORRECTLY do it, he do it, and no one else do it. You can check it with a BENCH of games, and not only games, its also work for software, 3D animation, movies, short movies, pranks, youtube channel, tutorials etc etc. I'm sure i can even make the math and create a law about it...Exactly like the Murphy Law, the Moore Law and others law or better example the Wadsworth Constant. So yes i'm complaining cause just because of a stupid personal idea/fixation of Rocket that is by the way wrong DayZ and a bench of others survival games (that just follow the path of DayZ who have working, which don't mean that it is 100% right or that he can't work better by adding SP and attract all those who want SP and survival). And when i have buy this game it was not a KOS world polluted by server hoppers, empty server hard to find cause of all privates server show in public and with a lot of new stupid decision that make DayZ switch from realistic survival game to a arcade survival game. Their is no other highly realistic survival game, you know why ? Exactly cause i have already write, cause DayZ is already here and was sadly not the best game and not even really good, and also cause when someone do something, you can't do exactly the same in better without face the law and copyright limitation. So if you know a good zombies (or not, i don't care about zombies, this is the survival aspect that i like) survival game in SP that is REALISTIC, recent (at least not too old) and not limited with stupid unrealistic (but "balanced/gameplay") restriction which is against realism for most of the game...Well give me the link and i'll stop complain about DayZ and if you want even delete my account from the forum, but if their is not, probably cause DayZ is already here and prevent every possibility of better game like this that follow same basic rules of gameplay which include realism, i'll keep say what i think.

Why the hell people are against SP mode ? Seriously, in just need to run on localhost that can't connect through internet, a lot of game do this, this is even how Minecraft SP mode work, their is almost no changes, and peoples in MP will have ABSOLUTELY NO change, except maybe better testing from SP people without lag, bugs, disconnection and KOS that are encounter in MP which will make the game better... Seriously people ? Don't want a SP game to become MP, yes i can understand, just look at what damage it create to SimCity for example cause of the restrictions, but c'mon what is the point of don't want a SP mode ? Are you afraid to see everyone leaving MP for playing SP ? If it was the case, it mean that the game should BE SP from scratches... But no it won't happen, even if per miracle an SP mode is added, their will still PLENTY of full server, do you know why half of the server hooper do this ? Cause they hate to play a game where every objects on the whole map was already scavenged by people, and they change server, or they don't like others players, with stupid KOS attitude and the stupid clans which are most of the time full of stupid people who sometimes kill each others for NOTHING or kill KOS no reasons cause everyone except one what to be "friendly" and rather than dispute the stupid KOS guy, they laugh about what he have done, cause YES, even in video game people in group become stupid. YES a lot of server hooper do this for trying to find an empty server, its my case, i don't care about the gear, i just want to almost never find player, cause IRL in case of survival situation, encounter with others people will be RARE, and KOS will also be, cause you will have almost see no one since a while, and even if you are afraid to be killed, you will want a friendly contact, trust me, you will be quickly bored to talk alone (or not talk and almost forget how to do this after years of solitude) and the guy you find can be useful to you. But in DayZ hahaha that's a joke, in full server, even in the middle of nowhere, we can find bench of people, this is why everyone KOS, cause their is TOO MUCH encounter, you like it ? fine, but don't stop people who want to play alone to have this. The game will probably already have a SP mode since a while if people don't want to prevent it for ABSOLUTELY NO REAL/VALID REASONS. Result ? You see a BENCH of "don't join or kick, join = character reset, clan server, private server" and others server like this, cause yes the majority don't do it for having a free gear up server, but just for play ALONE, they are not authorized and still be maybe the majority of online servers, so if you don't want SP mode to be in the game, don't complain about server hooper and all those privates servers. NO ONE have NEVER stated that surviving game should be MP only, some are SP only and work way better than DayZ. And NO the game is not build around player interaction, that why people who want to play alone and try to find empty servers OR create their private "don't join" servers can play fine, and quietly without find a douche bag that KOS, or WORST, say friendly, help you, and suddenly, just cause is douche bag mode turn on, kill you for NO REASONS, not even for take your stuff, and their is plenty of guy like this. The game is about surviving AND zombies, players are secondary on both gameplay and the way the game work. And based on the fact that with all the lags, bugs, disconnections and others issues with the MP that will probably for some of they be NEVER fixed even 2 years after the official release, their is another reason to prefer playing SP. The only time i have join a almost full server was cause i wanted to play in Hardcore server with persistence, sadly a single was available and almost full, the game lagged like hell, and i was not able to find a single object, even a rotten fruit...So yes i won't play again on server that have more than 5 peoples if i ever play the game again... In fact SP mode will probably have MORE zombies, cause a single player only to handle, no lag, and a lot of advantages that will make happen things that everyone want. Better zombies, more zombies and better stability. But yes keep be hostile for no reasons against SP mode... Anyway DayZ is ruined by players, i'll wait for Survive the Night and H1Z1 which even if their are only MP (fault of DayZ, cause everyone copy it like stupid and don't want to innovate, if DayZ have a SP mode, others game would also have) they look WAY BETTER than DayZ...

Don't read comments just the main topic. BUT in fact i can understand the guy who put backpack inside backpack etc etc for having more free slot... Why ? Cause the inventory system need a SERIOUS rework ! On the beginning, yes the place was enough, not we have new items and most of them are ESSENTIALS, now we have to care about our health, our temperature, with bigger weapon we need to have ourself better defense etc etc... And what was done to compensate this in the inventory ? NOTHING ! Just nothing, a single and simple pen or paper page take the same amount of place than a can of bean... NO, just no, inventory slow must be subdivided in 4, and even 4 pens CAN'T reach the same volume as a can of bean (which is the standard for an inventory slot)... Now we need the stupidly impossible to found hunting knife for a lot of stuff, fishing things, a stone or a pickaxe, an axe for wood, fire and maintain this stupidly 4 tree duration axe idea, we need pistol since we have delay while moving bigger guns and the only Holster that we have take the slot of a tactical vest...Sorry but IRL i can easily fit a tactical vest AND a legs holster without issues... More and more update, more and more objects, and less and less place with more and more needed objects, even with vehicle (that can be easily lost and WILL be lost from servers to servers cause of bugs and others issues and bad physic that make crash happen easily for nothing) this is bad to have only that few place... Regroup several can opener and straps them when a string, now count how many you need for having the same volume as a can...Same with a Pen or a lot of others objects...Don't told me that a single one do this....This is badly done, their is tons of game that have better inventory system, and i don't talk about the interface, but a volume/weight based system will be WAY better than a slot based which make no senses... So don't blame people that try to fix themselves what devs completely screw up... Its already been stated about this, here a topic with my answer : http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/209765-sharpening-tools/#entry2101621 In fact you can sharp your axe with a stone, the issue is that the inventory system is bad, a pen take the same place than a can of bean...SERIOUSLY ? With every update we have more objects and some of them are NEEDED not just accessory, and the inventory size don't change, even a while before it was already too small, but now its ridiculous, so carry a stone...Probably no one will want to do it...And you can't find stone easily on the ground, which is stupid, who can't seriously find a stone ? And it only "sharp" the axe from badly damaged to damaged... Anyway, the issue is not that it should get sharp back to worn or find more stone, or find them on the ground or anything else... The issue is that devs are stupid and make a feature that even COD dev's don't mind to put, axe with less than 10 use, SERIOUSLY, even in Minecraft where we can EASILY craft then, they are way more than 10 use, and in fact they broke from pristine to ruined in LESS than 10 three... SERIOUSLY ? Maybe after 100 three, okay why not, even if it will still stupid... The thing is, axe should NOT get damaged while shopping tree. This is stupid and make no senses, don't tell me that DayZ is anything realistic with this kind of stupidity...And that's not a bug or a balance issue... Their is really a stupid in the dev team that have decide/think something like : Hey lets put plastic axe into our REALISTIC game :) That the main reason why i have stop to play this game, its full of incoherence, and NO the fact that it is a Early Access is not an excuse, this is not a bug or a unfinished feature, this is probably supposed to be a final feature, changing the durability is probably changing a simple numerical value on the Axe's file, so don't tell me that if they wanted something else they will not be able to do it. Anyway, adding sharping tool can still a good idea for ALL bladed objects, not only the axe, but it should NOT be an excuse to keep having an axe that is less durable than a paper plane.

Cloth maybe not, but some loot, yes why not, but that NEED to be cleaned before ! Civil zombies should loot some stuff such as battery, flashlight or others simple objects that are not hard to do, like if they was people that have start worry about the infection (before zombies start to appear) and start to search for survival stuff, and then...Well they was not immune... Most of the time their cloth should be ruined AND infected (by others deceases of courses cause we are immune to the zombies infection), but we should be able to find on some zombies cloth damaged/badly damaged, same for all others stuff, same for soldier zombies, we should find some ammo we need to be cleaned and others low end military stuff and maybe be able to take in rare occasion tactical vest, helmet and boots, but nothing else than those kind of cloth, only upper cloth (no one want DayZ to turn into a Zombies Striptease game) and some common items. Zombies should be the NUMBER ONE factor of the game, but actually they are weak, they do nothing/have no utility for the gameplay except when we start and have not yet find axe and player are way more dangerous than they, which is why i stop to play this game until zombies become more dangerous or that they put a SP mode (which is probably not gonna happen sadly and which is stupid). Anyway, cloth on zombies, most of the time ruined but sometimes damaged badly damaged, most of the stuff should be from pristine (uncommon but not rare), worn (common) damaged (less common) and badly damaged (same as damaged) and all stuff should be infected and need to be cleaned before they can be use if we don't want to become sick.

If you need to survive and you have almost nothing, trust me, your imagination and the instinct WILL make you archive much more complex things, such as traps for example... Anyway it don't change anything to what i've say...

Only read the first post but why ? Simply cause a lot of people WANT full server to have a lot of encounter... And a LOT of others player such as myself HATE encounter, in fact i play in empty server cause i want a REALISTIC SURVIVAL game in SINGLEPLAYER but devs are too stupid to do it and understand that it will reduce a lot of issue, including all those "don't join or kick" servers and server hooper (of course no sharing between SP and MP character, no way to gear up on SP to come after that in MP)... Anyway in case of zombies apocalypse where only immune survive, do you really thing that in a 50Km² area you will find 40 people ? Hahaha this is not a SURVIVING game in this game, some town isolated from a lot of things have community of 40 people or even less and nothing close within huge distance. AND in real life people even if they are dump as shit won't kill that easily, between psychological effect and the fact that EVERYONE might be useful, the fact that human want to save its kind, the fact that a small community of survivors that hold they hand together will better survive than a single guy that walk alone in the wild...All this make people ONLY kill if their are threatened, for most of them, who know who you kill, a friend that you have not seen since a while, a member of your family that wear a mask, someone that can greatly improve your community cause he know how to make electric generator from scratch or a doctor that can care of your people ? Yes it can also be an ass hole, but IRL you WON'T kill on sight for no reason or take stupid risk when you have no stuff and only find mosin or sks... And yes irl it will be huge concentration ONLY on community, the rest of the time you will probably walk days, weeks, month or even more without finding anyone, such decease will ONLY save few people...And you will probably think that you are alone for a lot of time. Zombies should be the MAIN thing, i don't care about player which is sometimes more stupid than zombies, and player in video game are most of the time less realistic in they act than a bugged AI and immersion killer. So YES i play on empty server and i WANT to find server with no one inside, if you don't want to look at player number, no one force you to read it, or at least have an option for hide it, but NOT hide it. And NO i'm not a server hooper that gear up before coming with all gear in a populated server, i NEVER join such server anyway and in fact if one day i want that, i'll probably only join a server with a character which have a simple sks/mosin, some bullets and have already eat/drink enough, cause i don't want to waste a 30h+ character on stupid pvp and you DON'T need a lot of gear to kill anyone, just skill, gear only slow you. So YES i'm look empty server, and if i'm change, its cause their is a bug, an issue or that server hooper have empty i and even a rotten banana its impossible to find... Everyone play its own way, and a LOT of people play themselves. Hide player number, the number of "don't join or kick" servers will triple or more and pollute even more your search, if it was free ill probably have since a while get my own server and try to hide it from server list. The difference between those who want to play alone in empty servers and those who want full server is simple... Those who want to play in empty server understand that people might want pvp and try just to play their own without disrupt them. Those who want to play on full server want the game to be ONLY MADE for them, regardless opinion of others players. That why i talk about SP option that will probably double the potential customers of this game and will NOT at ALL influence MP in a negative way... It will only result easier game testing, cause yes while some people "play" and KOS for nothing cause they are douche bag, others try to TEST the game to find bugs or things like that, i've already get killed while testing items on their release, i remember get killed by stupid after testing the crossbow on its release, see own its work and if i can find any issue. And in general in games, MP cause trouble to SP while reducing features and possibility, SP ALWAYS (in every game i saw/know anyway) make MP better. But yeah those stupid "full servers egoist" only want the game to feature their OWN way to play and WITHOUT any GOOD reason refuse features such as SP. In this case, why complain about server hooper ? they DON'T come to full server except maybe when they are gear up, and think that gear up player with AKM is deadlier than one that just respawn and find a magnum and who have skill track/aim is PLACEBO. Anyway the game become a stupid messy thing, every patch rather than see more realistic feature, i see more COD (and others stupid arcade game) like features rather than realistic things... After all dev make games the way players want it... AND by the way, the number of players is already a moron which don't even indicate the correct number of player most of the times, a BENCH of times on 0/1/2 or max 3 player show, while i connect i saw a bench, sometimes it can goes up to 10 players.

Why not but i don't see the REAL interest of this... I mean i play with a G13 "gamepad" http://img.clubic.com/02283070-photo-logitech-g-series-logitech-g13-1.jpg wihch have way less buttons than a keyboard and i have enough touch on it in combination with my mouse : http://icrontic.com/uploads/features/2012/03/sideview.jpg If you count maj, ctrl, space my gamepad DON'T have more buttons that the letters keys, my mouse have less than the numbers keys, and i'm able to access to every commands... And in a space ship it make sense... If you want voice command, you can use Glovepie for example : The voice detection itself is not perfect, but don't expect that DayZ will have any voice command, and if it does, it will probably don't be better... Anyway Glovepie is Free and really simple to use, and if you say that this is not a powerful software, i have already make a "software" (a bot for a game) with thousand lines of codes and hundred of files with this, so yes this is powerful. -
The issue is that everything work like that on DayZ... Ridiculously fast starvation, sick, blood loose, blood regeneration etc etc...Even the consumption of a lot of things are ridiculously too fast, but like i've already say before, this is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS that axe get from pristine to ruined after 3/4 tree, it make no senses, maybe damage it but never ruin it, i have never see any ruined axe, sharpen the axe will damage it even more than cutting 100 three with, cause three is in WOOD, but a stole even if it sharp it WILL make it loose mass... This is not that simple to sharp an axe and it WON'T get ruined, in worst case it just too damage to cut and we just punch the tree, but if we sharp it again it WILL be able to cut like before... But a SERIOUSLY doubt that taking a simple rock on the ground to sharp it will work. Worst possible case : wooden handle can brake... And even if it happen, in real life we WILL find any big enough and solid enough stick on the ground and cause even without handle this still an AXE we WILL be able to cut this stick on the size/shape we want to make a nice and smooth one that will CORRECTLY fit on the head of our axe, and anyway i've never see this happening... Damn it, i hate those people we say that this is normal to die from falling 1feet high... YES some people even die in rare case from falling from their own feet, and others rare case have survive freefall from MILES high ! Just look at this : And this : In this video some people fall from high, others on their genital part and others on their head, no one of them have die, and in fact almost none of them have broken something ! So NO, we should NOT die from falling from a ridiculously small height... In DayZ sometime we got broken legs or we die from "falling" 1 inch high. DayZ and Arma are both WAY TOO MUCH a PROCEDURE simulator rather than real anything simulator...The fact that people don't stop to suggest idea such as, dying from 1 feet fall WON'T help anything... That why in Arma -> DayZ we have restriction such as can't eat and walk in the same time...Imagine if you can't in summer walk while eating your ice cream or your apple... Or can't walk while changing weapons, or simply can't grab any object, or do everything that even a physically limited people can do... You know people, even with heavy package, our knee can bend, its their own goal after all, we don't need to fall with straight legs, so yeah why not base it on character weight, but NOT a stupid, instant die from 1 inch fall cause we have full backpack, this is stupid. Even from a roof (one floor house of course) with a backpack we should have low chance to broke anything, but the chance should exponentially get possible while weight and height is adding. So yes +100+ No more "brittle bone disease" character based damage model !

And until their is way more objects and that the map grow up WAY MORE this is a stupid idea and its totally opposite to the idea of SURVIVING, in surviving situation you won't meet more people than 1 or 2 per WEEKS maximum, and only if you are close to interesting point, like water point or things like this... But if server just handle more player and not force anyone to play with bench of people...Okay, but i will certainly NOT going into those server, i play on almost empty server cause most of the player actually are douche bag and KOS for no reason...And also for server performance, i've try the persistent one in Hardcore, only able to find one, no objects inside, lag as hell, random sound from far away player, risk to die for nothing... So maybe you're right about this, but well this is a stupid decision from Rocket, the game will be a huge mess... Even while simply running it won't change anything, this is a stupid gameplay balance decision, and YES we can run for more than hours without die from starvation. I don't need to have an overdose of calories for survive way more than 2 day without eating even while running/walking for hours, eating for having faster/better blood regeneration/healing yes, but the stupid fast starvation is just boring, stupid, and we have other things to do than always try to eat, yes for drinking, 2 hours its a nice delay, cause we can't make a realistic delay, it will be too long, and water is important, but this is stupid to eat 20 time per 24h game than what we do irl and still be able to die in some hours...

No for slower zombies, in fact i hope that they will become HARDER and more deadly when they will be fixed, cause i'm boring to see that player are the biggest threat, and even if i know that it will never happen (eve if this is stupid to pass next this opportunity to gain number of players) i hope that DayZ will gain a SinglePlayer mode in addition to the MP. Zed need to be more deadly, but yes making them respawn next to us is stupid. Make them only respawn while server restart is not possible...Same as making them respawn after a certain amount of time, it make no senses, mainly for the unlucky one who will without weapons go to this town to look for loots cause he see no zombies, and they respawn on him... A solution which involve real time respawn of zombies in a really nice way and also can add some challenge between two town (without wast zombies and player free area), realism and dynamic aspect is possible, here : http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/200642-safe-zones/page-2#entry2044046 Don't forget that DayZ is a ZOMBIES surviving game, not a PVP one, zed are the most important aspect on this game, they are supposed to be fast, agile and deadly, if a zombie run at you, kill him, its better than run away and having finally 10 zombies after you cause rather than kill them one by one, you try to run away... They are supposed to be faster than you, threatening, and you are not supposed to be able to easily run away from them, cause they are not standard people, they don't care to damage they body by running too fast and overusing muscles, human's strength are limited by the brain, not the muscles, so its logic that zombies are stronger AND faster !

Thanks for the info but i already know, and i'm always energized, i know about calories, i have look here : http://dayz.gamepedia.com/Food_and_Drink#Comparison_Tables and i have always prefer the Canned Tuna, Canned Peaches is too much rare anyway, i almost never see them and the Tuna have for advantage to both be common and don't need can opener, they have the best calories value for canned food (if we forget the rare Peaches) and most important aspect they have small stomach size, so it make them really close to the peaches in fact, that what i eat almost everytimes, and i'm ALWAYS energized, cause i spend more time to eat than look for stuff... But it still that irl even with poor energy gain food, if you are stuffed, you will NOT be staved almost to death 3 hours after...Human, even with low calories food as a last food consumption can (if he drink) survive several days, some peoples in such case have already survive more than a week, in fact we basically say 30 days without eating, 3 without drinking and 3 minutes without breathing, its a basic, some people have probably die before 30 days while others such as Bobby Sands who have die in 1981 after 66 days without eating. So yes i understand that this is a game (even if he claim himself to be REALISTIC/surviving simulator) and that we can't have a 30 day before death without eating, cause we spend real time in front of our computer, but damn it die in some hours, is not just slightly hungry, its clearly die in some hours, this is stupid, mainly in a game with a big map where objects is damn rare and we need ridiculously too much amount of time to do anything ! "stuffed to death by starvation" is an example, it goes too fast for nothing, mainly in a game where calories are handle and implemented in the gameplay... Still thanks for your advice, even if i already know the basic about eating in DayZ, but you have to admit that based on the nature of the game, the slow gameplay and the long-time-to-do-anything gameplay, this is stupid to see ax behind ruined for 3 trees or die from starvation in few hours... And still i totally agree in 1000000% with your list for the animals ! So you have my beans ! And in addition to your list : More fearful also, good example is the game "TheHunter" !

ONLY if Tracking is implemented AND if the stupid 2h from stuffed to death by starvation ridiculously short delay in what call himself a surviving SIMULATOR is fixed. Also only if animals are not ridiculously rare and if they respawn.

Export of Altis map ? Or better : Some km away on the coast of the Chernarus map of DayZ SA having both Stratis and Altis map ? Altis having spawn point but Stratis only accessible by boats and contain nice equipment, rare loot or even unique loot. And YES I KNOW Chernarus is supposed to be East Europa and its far from real Stratis, but anyway Chernarus is fictional, so i don't see any issues, it will GREATLY improve the map size. Stratis is almost already ready for DayZ, the format of the map itself is probably already compatible due to the graphic engine or will only need few tweaks/conversions to work ! It will "only" need some tweaked navmech for zed and animals, spawn/respawn points, furnitures on houses and buildings and finally object spawn points, and we almost have 4 time the size of the original game without having any copyright/owner right issue, need to create totally a new map or things like this and it will be just a matter of DayZtisation of the map by adding required stuff which is a long but not a hard task !

Exactly ! Same if you try to join a server with your friend, or simply if like me you live in France (low number of server here) which mean you don't want a high ping AND you don't like server with people inside cause you want almost empty server to be alone and quietly play like you want to, auto matchmaking will be a pain. _______________ @All: The funny part is that i have write several time a completely viable solution that will be okay for everyone and who fix server hopping and even add a sort of spawn protection in the same time without prevent you to play/spawn where you have disconnect, rejoin your friend or do anything else such as loose our tent/vehicle and no one care about and still complain about the fact that others solutions are bad...Yeah bravo people, you will make thing moving like this... Anyway i think every good aspect we can wait from this game is dead, first cause of the commercial way that devs have choose and also cause of this total ignorance of working idea and focus on criticism of non working one...

+100 In fact for both balance and realism zed should be in high concentration in big city, really small concentration in small city, if their is a 10 house town, only 1 or 2 zed max, but in extremely high concentration in military area ! Mainly in combination with my idea here : http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/200642-safe-zones/?p=2044046 Which is i think the best idea for zed respawn (cause if they respawn in the same area than us and are in high concentration, it will be impossible) But i think it is planed, they just fix zed first and improve server performance/stability before doing this, i mean i hope they do but it seam logic that they will do it !

The actual system is stupid. Shoot a single bullet in the head -> Everything ruined including shoes...No one can say that this is realistic, balanced or a good thing, this is the stupidest thing ever ! Only FEW objects should be ruined, nothing else. And some object should not be damaged, even if you shoot at a AKM for example, how the hell if you just shoot on the middle of the gun attachment can be ruined ? And everything get ruined too easily, seriously we can ruin an ax by chopping 4 tree, c'mon seriously, no need to be expert in materials to know that this is ridiculous, even while cutting 1000 tree i don't even see an ax being simply in need to be sharped again... Damage system exactly like the damn too fast starvation and too fast decease system NEED to be balanced. In fact i was expecting to see in hardcore mode a more difficult character management but more realistic system (hardcore don't mean hard but realistic) and having a long duration starvation delay, hardcore for people who will prefer having more realistic gameplay with more forgiving/realistic delay even if we can't make a 5 day before we die from hunger, at least WAY MORE... Same for damage, but yeah what i see was a stupid decision to just transform hardcore server into...First person view server, useless... For me it prove that they don't want realism anymore they get "contaminated" by success and they now want more and start commercial shitty aspect of the game with stupid unrealistic stuff, just for attract more peoples... That how i see it... And for me it simply told us : we won't have a better starvation/decease/damage model, its still in alpha, but they seam to have choose their way, and its far from the realistic survival simulator we expect...

Minimum amount of players is the stupidest and the worst idea ever, if DayZ implement this s..t i'll instantly ask for refund and stop to play it. If only SOME server have unique player system, where character are attach to the server, yes why not, their will be no hopping in this server, and YES i have say SOME server, cause it can be a great idea of some server do it but if all server do it it will be a shame ! What have you against server hopping ? (and NO i don't do it) In fact a maximum number of player on some server will be better, no damn bandit every 3 meters and if its already full, no one to come just for taking objects cause no one will connect to those servers. Simple : As PureSlayerz state, we CANNOT stop farmer in any way, it is an impossible task. Whatever we can do, it will only result to the same things : Farmer will still be able to farm and regular player will have stupid limitation... And anyway, their is proof that someone with NO GEAR can with only his fist kill one or even two bandit with guns, and anyone good enough to aim will kill easily with any gun a guy, regardless what equipment he have. A guy with full pockets, big backpack, AKM and others things are NOT stronger or more deadly than a guy that have just spawn, find a Mosin or a shotgun + ammo and mastering correctly the aiming in DayZ/Arma, lets them farm, it WON'T make them stronger. But farming cause two big issues : People that spawn next to us while we are supposed to be in a safe area where we have loose precious time to check if their is no one, the guy spawn and kill us...In real life, if their is no one while we check, no one will magically appear and kill us by surprise... And the biggest issue : They scavenge server and they make server totally empty from object, mainly in the most important point, and mainly now that object respawn are not yet 100% implemented and working ! The only thing we can do against server hooper is to protect objects AND others player from them, and here is my solution : http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/202269-my-huge-suggestion-list-long-topic/ Part #1 and #3 and YES singleplayer, cause i don't see any reason to not play this game in SP mode, in fact that why their is so much "clan/private join=kick" servers, cause people also want SP mode, limit DayZ to MP is stupid, and some people including myself hooping but not for gear, i want to play in empty server, its enough to fight against bugged zombies and a stupidly fast starvation value, i don't want to also have to deal with 12Yo stupid boy that shoot on sight for nothing or stupid guy that are friendly and suddenly kill us for nothing... And i look for empty servers, 2/3 people 4 max, and its damn rare, cause server jumper bring more peoples, when their is too much people, i change server, and i have to fight against drunk server list that show wrong number of player (always less) which indicate for example 2 players while their is 10 inside or more... A lot of people including bench of jumper will play SP rather than MP and it will help to reduce jumping, it will also stop those private servers and help us to find GOOD servers without being kicked everytimes. And to be honest, if i see, even in small villages that everything was already scavenged from everywhere and that even most basic object are missing, i will jump into another server, i will stop only if we start having a DECENT starvation/decease speed system, not a 2h from stuffed to death by starvation or 5 minutes to become sick and really ridiculously short time to find RARE cure. Anyway my spawn protection idea do both : protecting you from anyone that can spawn near, "also protect them", protect objects from server hoppers and id don't create too much limitations, some filters can be enabled to improve it, such as people that always come to a single server, are in safe logout are or anything like this !
