Also make sure you have the anti cheat compatibility enabled in your game capture window's properties. -
Qualyfiers will be on Sunday, 9PM GMT, the next finals will be in April. http://www.twitch.tv/survivorgamez And yes, a special build of the game was provided for SGZ. There are no plans to implement any special feature in the actual game. ( To understand this better: one of the inventors of the DayZ SurvivorGameZ is a guy called Brian Hicks :-) )

Did you assign DayZ to your dedicated card? NVidia control panel -> Manage 3d settings -> Program settings -> add DayZ and check if you can assign it to your GT540m

As of today, every building has it's own set of items that can spawn there. You know piano buildings have a weapon spawn, you know that the food house spawns much food, and those possible spawns are always the same. A piano house has the same spawns no matter if it´s close to the NWAF or somewhere in Cernaya Polana. The items possibly spawning are tied to the type of building. What they want to achieve is to make this system Area-based, means also random buildings spawn i.e. military clothing when they are close to a military base, or fishing equipment spawns more along the coast compared to inland.

You can do that with every standard manual transmission where you have free choice of the gears, no matter if that's healthy for the car in that situation or not. A sequential gearbox however has no free choice of gears. You pull the stick back to shift up one gear, you push the stick forward to go one gear down.

Essentially it means that we can expect the blood regeneration rate to be nerfed notably in the next experimental update, probably along with increased blood bag / IV / test kit spawn rates.

Are you by any chance running the game in windowed mode? I had the problem in the past with a couple of games that they turned dark when i set them to windowed, and I never figured out why that happened.

There is no experimental version right now, both branches are on the same version, thus the experimental servers are down to prepare them for the next update.

This is the more important line. @Buck, optimization is usually a thing of the beta stage of a project. While we are in alpha, they keep on changing and/or adding to the code. Whit every change or addition, they would make any optimization work being done so far obsolete, which would not only be a waste of ressources, but would also add to the total development time of the game for no benefits at all when you look at the 1.0 version.
