That's an issue related to the player controller and server performance. The first get's written from scratch ( as many other engine modules ) and is currently on their internal builds, but it still needs some work. The latter is something they try to improve all the time, since they need server performance themselves to implement new features, so yes, this is being adressed right now, just needs some more time. Client side performance is a bit more down the road, I would say close to or during beta.

I think OP thought it would be PM rather than AM.

Go to settings -> video settings -> User Interface. First set your aspect ratio ( this will load the correct resolutions in the dropdown menu ) and then your UI resolution. After that you can set your ingame resolution under video settings. Edit: Damn mods, first, Smash ninjas me on steam forums, now kilchi ninjas me here. GET A LIFE ! :P

Yeah it got renamed to "brain disease" ( and yes it was tempting to "misspell" it "Brian disease" but Hicks is online so I was to afraid to do so :P ) -

ChainReactor replied to eugenharton's topic in News & Announcements
All have. The gif posted is another teaser of upcoming content by Peter Nespesny. -
So just play Battle Royale on ArmA ? It's actually exactly what you describe. It's out there, no need to wait wether or not DayZ will eventually become what you want.

Long Break From DayZ, what's new?
ChainReactor replied to ChiefMasterKush's topic in General Discussion
We knew it would end up this way. Weeks ago i decided not to play for a week once vehicles were implemented. Wasn't my worst idea I guess. -
Killed by teleport hacker instantly after finished spawning!
ChainReactor replied to StayAlive (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
When you spawn in and the world around you loads, you will be out of sync with the server and lag terribly for a few seconds ( can be a few more too ) so it's a valid option that the player was moving around you just normal, but the server didn't update his position as frequently as it does when everything is loaded. You can also see players lagging and glitching all over the place when they have lag or desync due to pingspikes. -
Look, while I get your point from a gameplay-only point of view, that is just not how software development works. While they create, change or improve code, bugs will occour. There is no way around that. Fixing most bugs in this stage of development would be pointless because the ongoing programming would bug the bugfixes again. It would just be a waste of dev time and manpower. And some bugs aren't even bugs but rather unfinished content, persistance or zombie clipping in example. So, it might sound silly, but throwing in all features and then fix the bugs afterwards is the most efficient way of creating a game. They do however fix bugs that are stressed enough by the community, like suicide ladders or wallclipping, so yes they do listen to our opinions and yes they do something about it. Players just need to be aware that they report and upvote the bugs on the feedbacktracker and that bugfixing a certain problem can take a while too.

Killed by teleport hacker instantly after finished spawning!
ChainReactor replied to StayAlive (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
So you were spawning in ( stood there 30 seconds ingame without you having any control ). See someone teleporting ( while the world around you loads in ) and you are sure it was a Hacker. If it was anything at all, its was an UFO sighting. Or just a player that attacked your logging in body while you had srs lag because the game was still loading. -
Yeah I usually simply start a new character too.

Possible Admin Abuse? Wtf! Zombie chases Me for MILES!
ChainReactor replied to JRL1990's topic in General Discussion
They can reset their servers every hour so it always stays on daytime, but they have no control over any ingame mechanic, as i said. Advertising a certain loot situation is against the ToS for server admins, since it's not controlled by the server. -
1st: Experimental or Stable ? 2nd: How is your network connection?

ChainReactor replied to JRL1990's topic in General Discussion
Hit "V" while sprinting towards it. You will need to get used to the timing though since it really depends on your connection to the server. ( General advice: always pick the lowest ping server you can get, player input get's processed server side, so the higher the ping, the longer the reaction time ). -
I dont have any numbers, but a sporter will always need more body shots to be lethal. .22 isn't a really powerful caliber. BUT if you have a 30 rnd Mag, the rate of fire of the sporter is much much higher than the one of the repeater. On the other hand, the repeater has a higher range. It's really down to preference. If i would be in a bigger city like Novo or Elektro, i would go with the sporter because i can gun down my enemy with rapid fire on short range, if i would be going inland scavenging the towns i would pick the repeater as it has more effective mid-range power. I personally always loved the SKS. It is an internal fed rifle with enough power on low to mid ranges and a decent rate of fire. Sadly, 7.62x39mm gets rarer and rarer on Experimental, i think its even a military only spawn now, so i have to find my new gunbuddy as well, as i normally avoid military zones.

ChainReactor replied to JRL1990's topic in General Discussion
Admins have no control over zombies or loot or any ingame content. Zombies have eagle eye vision right now, breaking line of sight with bushes, forests or buildings however worked for me last time i tried it, it just took me more distance to put inbetween me and the Z. Tip: Whenever you see a fence, vault over it while sprinting. Fences are solid for Zombies and they have to go around them, which should give you quite some distance. -
When you say current build, are we speaking of stable or experimental ?

Those times when you died and you don't know why

I can tell you "who". The magic "fall through the floor" bug. Yes, it can be frustrating sometimes, but it's stuff like that we agreed to accept when we clicked the alpha disclaimer. -
