Is it just me or have all Exp servers just gone offline ? -
Its pretty clear that there are alot of stable people on exp, so far i've had 3 poorly equipped people run at me trying to punch me to death and one attempt at badly acting friendly who then tried to shoot me at point blank range and missed.... they are all no more. Will be nice to get back to the usual crowd on exp not the influx of maniacs.

In the last 24 hours I have experienced 3 server crashes and no matter how long I wait or what I log into after those I have had a character reset, starting as a bambi, seems if the server crashes on you it wipes your data from the hive, anyone else had this ?

I've had building ranged at 970m with it, however once you go much further it throws out an error, so guessing its a max 1000m range.

My first computer was a ZX81 and as it was inherited from my techno geek uncle of the time it came with a 64k RAM pack, almost doubled the size of the computer. When the server comes online shoot me a pm please, at the moment i play mainly on the lower pop exp servers, but would switch to stable for a great community as this sounds like it will be. -
Realistic? We are supposedly living in a post apocalyptic area where the majority of the population are dead or turned into mindless zombies by an unknown disease / virus. Who on earth knows what the result of eating meat that has been exposed to that and lived may be. If canabalism is bought into the game permanently then there should be (in my opinion) a HUGE draw back to it, that could very well take the form of a secondary disease / infection from eating said meat.

Fire axe definitely does more damage than a splitting axe, a fire axe is one hit kill anywhere on a Z, however a splitting axe is only one hit kill to the head of a Z.

I wasn't aware of that from the devs. However the 'k' version is still the short non buttstock version, google it and see the majority of images without an attached buttstock.

The MP5K does not come with a buttstock as standard. 'K' refering to the Kurtz or short version of the MP5, a stock can be fitted but is not part of the standard MP5K. So not having it in game is the right thing.

I agree, something like splitting the current slot into 4, so matches take up a quarter of a current slot, handgun takes 8 smaller slots, etc.

The problem with all backpacks is the actual item sizes in DayZ, for the 28 slot SPOSN you can fit 7 hand guns in it. Or 28 boxes of matches. Both of these are Way off the mark to represent what the backpack could actually hold. I hope at some time in the Dev cycle the size of items are re-worked.

Apparently they had to be introduced into Exp to counter the rampant growth of wild tomato plants that seem to be taking over the landscape since so many packets of seeds are just left around and some mutate and grow.....

I haven't come across many if any people claiming things are working fine, the problem is people who just continually whine about things that have already been discussed to death. I'm not saying ban everyone with a different opinion, I agree that different opinions are needed to create a discussion. However when people start ranting about issues in an non-constructive manner just to inflame the forum then they need dealing with.

After the multiple explanations the Dev's have given about what to expect on Experimental then ANY form of trolling in the Exp discussion forums should carry a forum ban. Its not needed, its not productive and if other games are Ohhhhh so better go play them.

have you checked to see if the 1911 already has a round chambered in it, if so you will not be able to put a magazine in it until you unload that round.

The MP5-K is the Kurtz (short version) and typically does not come with a butt stock , you can attach one but it is not a bug. If anything it was a bug to have one attached as a matter of course anyway. Yep had this yesterday, all of the items on the body appeared empty (I know this bug) but I could not remove any clothing or backpack, or add anything to them to show the contents and so could not loot anything from it.

Played for an hour and a half last night and now going on for an hour this morning and no crashes yet.

Heatpacks seem far less common than matches atm, so if you drop on one luckily soon after spawning then great, but by the time you have got some gear then they are pretty much useless. Plus its hardly likely that a hand sized heat pack could come even close to saving you from hypothermia. They are designed to stop you getting cold hands not much else. Edit: I suppose finding enough of them you should be able to put 3 activated ones in your jacket slots and 3 in trouser slots and then keep you from going cold for at least an hour. But individually they should not be saving you from getting cold.

Problem with removing the respawn timers is that you can in some circumstances see your character stood in front of you when you log back in, this then makes item duping very very easy.

At least this update has changed my outlook on the game, I used to be so happy to find an M4 or AKM etc, now I am elated at finding a box of matches a waterproof coat and a 5 spare pairs of shoes.

Only just managed to get onto Experi, did some show wear testing and a pristine pair of work boots, degraded to ruined after running in the region of 1km.
