if you're going to have persistence then the corpses have to STAY
sachad replied to anarky321's topic in Suggestions
Dynamic corpse spawns? :P -
We've also seen plenty of people fully geared and healthy.
-
Just because it will exist does not mean the devs should encourage them. Best to leave that stuff to the modders once the game is finished.
-
Wrong game for that.

Every time I see the cans of peaches I keep in my pantry, I smile a little. -
Just because he left does not mean the game is suddenly going to change directions. And I'm pretty sure the new development leader shares the same vision.

New update broken? I'll try to be constructive

I'd love for hunger and nutrition to be separate values. -
It's because you never lost faith.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)

Again with the suppressors. Suppressors really don't do that much to lessen noise. -
Because it's flanged.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)

Sledgehammers seem like a decent weapon still. I managed to kill a zed in two hits with it, like before the update. -
Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)

Overpowered? Perhaps. Invincible? Hardly. Keep in mind these are not the slow, stupid, shambling corpses from The Walking Dead. They are live human beings infected with a rage virus, like in 28 Days Later. They are supposed to be difficult to kill. They still need tweaking, for instance their Mike Tyson-like punching speed and high 'hit points' need to be toned down a bit, but besides that, they are a vast improvement over the last builds. Yesterday I managed to kill eight zombies that were chasing me around the Pavlovo base. It took time and effort to separate them and take them on, but in the end, I got out alive. Battered and bruised, but alive. And for the first time since I started playing, I got a real sense of accomplishment from killing them. -
Sounds like they're a threat to me ;)
-
So how do you kill them so easily, then?
-
Well, most people are playing for the wrong reasons then. And zombies are nothing? Someone hasn't played .55, have they?
-
Most people are playing the wrong game then.

Went back to Musty server, was pleased to see a pretty geared character. SKS with 10 rounds chambered and 20 20 rounds, MP-133 with 6 rounds chambered, Makarov with full clip and 13 spare rounds, Gorka uniform and the ever-stylish officer's hat and aviators combo. I was just south of Zelenogorsk so I figured I'd go to the Pavlovo base for the first time. Killed four zeds on the way with the shotty, then reached the northern end of the base. No zombies, but no useful loot in that part, so I ventured further south. I was just picking up some gloves in a shed, when a zombie burst in. I panic shot it, but before it had even hit the ground another came in. And another. I got slapped around a bit, shot one of them and ran out, only to see four more of them coming at me. I sprinted as fast as I could, til they were falling behind, then dropped my now useless shotty and reached for the Makarov. An empty clip later, I'd managed to kill only one zed. The others were too close for me so I ran again, doing a lap around the hospital and making a beeline for the nearest barracks, where I am currently sitting in a corner, curled into a ball, trying to drown out the groans and growls of the zombies trapping me inside. I am preparing for a desperate fight... twenty rounds, at least six zeds outside...

My friend, the Repeater is more accurate than the AK. And you're right, it's a one shot kill, if you know how to aim properly.
-
Drum mags, drum mags, drum mags... What's wrong with a Repeater all of a sudden?
-
Zombies mauled you one too many times? ;)
-
This patch brings the game closer to it's intended goal than any others. The only thing it will kill is the type of players who grossly misunderstood what that intended goal is.
-
I, for one, welcome our new zombie overlords.
-
Agreed. I don't know why I carry medkits, really. I only ever keep rags/bandages in there.

That's in the open. Always go inside, even if it's just a little shed.
