    Dynamic Events

    Three words. Giant. Roving. Hordes.
  2. Unless you run around like a brainless moron, there's no way you'd get swarmed that easily. And if they do come after you in numbers, just give them the runaround until they're separated. Play it smart, and you survive.
  3. Impossible? They all line up right in front of the window to get stabbed. And pitchfork? No slots in backpack!
  4. Read the post again, you'll understand why the pitchfork is a hugely useful weapon these days. Easy to find, needs no ammo, can be used to face-stab zombies from the safety of a window.
  5. I had a pristine Riders vest when I logged out, and a badly damaged one when I logged back in. Urge to kill... rising...
  6. i've got one in my backpack. If I can remember which private hive it's on, I'll try it out. Damn thing takes up too much space anyway. edit: WOBO did the test already, apparently the mines are only triggered by survivors, and not by gunfire, zombies or vehicles.
  7. Set it down, move away, and then slowly approach until you get the option to activate it, putting as much distance between you and the mine as possible. First time I tried one out I blew myself up, but the next two tries went smoothly.
  8. So earlier you were asking for a system that adds artificial mental health mechanics which make no sense, but a crosshair is bad for a hardcore survival game?

    Make all servers separate

I'm no fan of public servers, but I wouldn't go as far as removing them altogether. I just stick to private hives myself.
  10. Probably the latency issue Danica mentioned then. Next time you have a no-clip zombie, check your ping and desync.
  11. Sounds about right. Last time I saw a zombie clipping through a door was back in .50 or so.

    Spawning bear trap/mine protection

Well yeah, few of us are trained at explosive disposal :P

    Spawning bear trap/mine protection

You could always try deactivating the mine...

    Idea about landmines

Last time I activated a mine, I was about 2-3 feet away from it when it exploded in my face.

    Spawning bear trap/mine protection

This. Furthermore, if someone wants to go through the trouble of finding a mine, and then placing it so perfectly that a bambi spawns right on top of it, then I say he should not only be allowed to, but congratulated on a job well done as well.

    The Master Trap

Works for me. Every mine they use to lulz-kill bambis on the coast is one less mine I need to worry about.

    The Master Trap

    Care to elaborate?
  18. Guess you'll have to settle for an all red costume for now. Too bad there's no red balaclavas!
  19. Really? When I do it, the zombie does the attack animation, but it only hits the frame and windowsill. Maybe some problems on the server end?

Please focus on bugs for a while

Again with the misconceptions. I did not use all caps because I was yelling furiously, but to make the words stand out, so you would read them. Everything I wrote in caps is exactly why we are having this discussion about misconceived opinions. You ask for something that is simply not a priority, then you keep insisting that it should be a priority, when it most definitely should not be. Your entire argument is based on misconception. In short, you're wrong.
  21. Aye, but you still need to expose yourself to them to hit them. But with the pitchfork, you don't even need to be in the same room!

Please focus on bugs for a while

Nor should the developers be denied the right to ignore opinions based on misconception and ignorance, nor I denied the right to point out why they are misconceived. And if I get annoyed when people don't get it after two or three times and still insist they're right, well, that's not me being unreasonable. And on a side note, the notion that 'all opinions are valid' is just... mouth-frothingly aggravating. But that's a whole 'nother discussion.

Please focus on bugs for a while

That is very much true. Freedom of speech and all that. But that in itself does not make your opinions any more or any less valid. And when you're wrong, you're wrong, simple as that. But you know, that's just, like, my opinion, man...

Please focus on bugs for a while

Okay, I was friendly at first, now a little less so. BUG FIXING IS NOT PART OF THE ALPHA STAGE. BUG FIXING IS RESERVED FOR THE BETA STAGE. Or more concise: ALPHA IS FOR ADDING, BETA IS FOR FIXING. These people you quote, barring a few exceptions, have no idea what they're talking about. For starters, since I started playing in 0.44, there has been a massive amount of problems found and fixed. And if you pay after accepting that the game at this stage is full of problems, then no, you really don't have any right to get uppity at the devs because the game is full of problems. That's like paying to get into an R&B night club, bitching about the R&B music, and then giving the place a shit review on Yelp because the deejay didn't listen to you when you clamored for some trance music.
